The Sam Edelman Birch is a good looking loafer, although considerably masculine looking. The suede is nice and the color Moonlight Grey is fantastic (it's very dark--sort of a soft black) and I love it! The 2 deal breakers for me are 1.) an almost total lack of support and 2.) a too shallow toe box (my big toes hit and rub against the inside of the top of the shoe. Not good.) Unfortunately, I must return them.

Let me start by saying how much appreciate Sam Edelman for making shoes for those of us who wear 10.5, thank you! I bought this shoe is dark gray and liked it so much that I purchased another pair in Birch. First, the color in real life is not as warm as shown in the listing. It is a cool taupe, which I was okay with. But once I put the shoes on and looked down, I noticed that there are huge circles on the top of each shoe. See photo. The material is suede, so there is no way to remove the huge spots. I ordered another pair in the hopes that they won't be defective. I'm guessing this is residual from the factory label, but it's completely unacceptable for shoes that are obviously seconds. Disappointed.

Very comfortable and good looking shoe. I always take 1/2 size down in Sam Edelman shoes. They are very nice quality. Too bad there is not other colors available. I'd buy more.

This is a beautiful shoe! I ordered two colors and they were even better looking in person. I think my foot size may be changing with recent weight loss...have always been a 10 W or a 10 1/2 med width. I had room in the length and also in the width, was afraid as the suede relaxed, they would get sloppy. Comfortable and beautiful, sad to return!

I love this loafer. I ordered them in the birch color. They are classy, but can still be worn with jeans. I have a slightly wide foot, and had no problems wearing them all them all day on my feet at work.

GREAT shoes right out of the box! They are the most comfortable shoes and I am on my feet 10 hours a day. They look smart with jeans or work clothes. Definitely recommend !

These shoes are super comfy, stitching is solid and consistent. Very well made shoe. However it runs large. I am a size 11 in most shoes, boots and flats… these 11s are a solid size larger.

Comfortable right out of the box! Which is hard to find in this style shoe. I bought the suede version. I did try the leather version at Dillard's and found it too stiff for me. I'm sure it would break in but the suede I could wear from day one with comfort. I Bought the dark grey and warm sand color. I love both! I have a slight bunion on one foot and these caused no problems. Which surprised me since the seam runs right across it. Very nice shoes.

Nice looking shoe but was too narrow and made my feet look like gunboats. Returned.

Beautiful loafers in a versatile color, but a bit too wide for my narrow foot.

The show fit snug and I’m a solid size 7. It also felt narrow on my foot. Might stretch with wear , although would be uncomfortable getting it up that point for me

I have a hard time finding loafers having a narrow foot. This shoe fit like it was custom made for me. Love them!
