I hate to leave a review like this because this is one of the most comfortable pairs of Vans I've owned, but I can't overlook the fact that they're falling apart after only a handful of wears. Both of the cork insoles are beginning to fall apart and my right shoe is completely tearing apart from the sole. This is unacceptable for any pair of shoes, let alone a pair this expensive.

Best new silhouette since the e-street and rata vulc from the early 2010s. I wish Vans would bring those back, but will happily settle for these. They felt broken in as soon as I slipped them on - easily the comfiest shoes I own. Hopefully this style is here to stay unlike many of the surf siders in the past. Drop the black/gum colorway in the US, please!

I bought these as soon as the black colorway dropped, stoked on the environmental goals as well as the looks. Unfortunately the images don't show how pointed the shoe is, making them oddly look a bit formal for a knit shoes. The low lacing also puts a ton of pressure on the top of my foot, to the point where I stopped wearing them because they were so painful.

I would buy these shoes in all colors they are so softm I have plantar fasciitis and guess what? the pain went from an 8 to a 2or 3. That are worth every single penny.

Excited to finally own a shoe that reflects my values

These are the lightest shoes I have ever put one. Wear them everywhere even in a river. And if the got dirty through them in the washer. And it did shrink a bit. But after a day of wear were back to normal. Would recommend the vans cleaning kit tho. But all around my favorite vans.

I love these shoes. So comfy and goes with so many outfits.

1st time I wore them, they fit perfect. Didn't need to break them in. my get up and go shoes. I definitely wouldn't skate in these tho.

Got my first pair about 7 months ago, they're still in great shape. I mostly wear these shoes just to walk around in tho, no sports in these guys.

Loved these and my wife said they were like Mr. Rogers' shoes (in a good way, she loved them too). But size 12 (normally my Vans size) felt like 11. Returning them. :(

First impressions - this is a great model, I love how it looks and feels. The only cons that caused me a lot of headache is the sizing - it runs full size smaller. I usually wear 9.5 US / 42.5 EU in the most of Vans models, on some occasions like Vans snow boots my size is 10/43. Here I tried 9.5 and it felt really small, bought in size 10. After trying them at home for a couple of times I felt like 10 also too tight and ended up with 10.5/44 witch is ridiculous because I haven't even been close to EU 44 in any other shoe I got. Otherwise can't say anything good or bad - haven't walked a mile in them yet. But first overall impressions are great.

These are the most comfortable pair of Vans to wear for just daily use (not skating!). It's been 2 weeks now since I bought these shoes, and they've become my daily beaters for stuff like going to the store, walking the dog, getting coffee, etc. The eco-cush insole makes the shoes really comfortable; it's a good mix between being firm yet squishy if that makes sense? And the upper's knit material is very breathable, which leads me to believe that these shoes should be able to be easily cleaned as well. The only con I can say is that price tag, but as someone who cares about sustainability, it'd be great if Vans can adopt what they've learned from this model to the rest of their products!

They are extremly tight and cheaply made!

They are cool looking in the photos! Not in person. They are smaller than the size you're used to. Extremely tight I wear 11 1/2 abd I should've gotten a 12 not really sure! Kind of cheaply made too for how expensive they are!

The inner sole is already falling apart within 2 days of wearing the shoes. I wear them for casual outings

Not really sure why the black pair has a think leather section down the back of the shoe. Seems counterproductive for a shoe that is all about protecting the environment.
