Using the Backpack literally everyday, most used features are fast access to top, wallte pouch and laptop/iPad compartment. Though its a bit thight, especially with MacBook Pro and iPad Pro with case. Combining it with Tech Pouches greatly increases versatility. Straps are really useful when hiking. Waterproof finally lety me focus the umbrella on keeping rain from me and not my gear

Got it a fortnight ago and started to stuff my camera gear into it. Really every detail has been given thought about. You can configure the bag exactly to your needs and size of camera and other gear.
Easy to handle and compact.
Only thing I miss: The info, for how long does it withstand rain? It's labeled: "Weatherproof", and that means...?

The first Peak Design Backpack I bought was the Travel Backpack, which I loved but found too big for everyday use, so when the Everyday Backpack was released I bought it right away and generally very happy with the backpack. It has many pockets throughout the pack so organization is very good, accessibility is great as well.
Kinda wish there is a front pocket for tiny or quick access items as well but not an issue at all.

I have the V1 backpack (with the flap top) and the zip version is a definite improvement because even though the V1 flap closes securely, the zip version is more water resistant. The backpack is highly configurable and it's storage capacity is amazing

This bag was everything I was looking for in a camera backpack. I wanted something light and sturdy but offered room for storage not just for cameras but also other items. I've had multiple backpacks with dedicated compartments for camera gear but they were either too small, not expandable, or hard to access. Yea I could get a pro backpack but they just those just look ugly. This one checked all the boxes in term of style and functionality! I just wish they would give more dividers than just two. And the dividers are not secured all the way to stop smaller things from moving from one compartment to another as you move around.

I have been using this backpack every day since just before the start of the pandemic, it is perfect for every aspect of my life, work, travel, exercise, day-tripping - the camera specific features are great AND have so many other uses.

I bought the Everyday Backpack for a Christmas present, and had the chance to try out the functions myself before wrapping it up. The design is sleek, compact, and looks good when carried. My gear is well protected, and the compartments have a function. No wasted space. I would definitely explore other products with this brand.

I bought my 20L for a month and I often need to carry around my mobile office setup; aka one 13" laptop, 15" external monitor, chargers, cables and a mouse. All my equipments are held tight by this bad boy and I still have room to put my gym clothes.
A practical and cool design. I love all the details and the material seem to be built to last.
100% worth it. Love the blue too.

I just got this a week ago, after considering the purchase for quite a while. I was looking for a balance between something small for daily carry (as well as something small enough to fit in any airline's personal item size restriction...I also considered the 20L Everyday BP but that was kind of cutting it close for this purpose and maybe not every airline would allow it).
I did find the backpack's straps to be a bit short, so the end of the padded area was hovering near the front of my shoulders (I'm only 171cm/5'7"). However, as with many things that we may initially have issues with, design considerations are probably the constraint. In this case, I realized that the straps are short because the bag is short...and they couldn't really have a padded strap longer than the bag itself. So this is a slight limitation of this 15L Zip, as dictated but its dimensions.
I wouldn't say this is the most comfortable bag I have, but I'm getting used to it and because it's small, it's not going to get too heavy most of the time anyway. If they could've made the shoulder strap padding thicker, I think it would've helped. I know they couldn't on the 45L Travel BP (which I also have and love) because the straps can be hidden behind the back panel, but with this, I think they could've made it more padded. I'm guessing they wanted to have a consistent look across their product line.
Overall, I still love this for what it is, a compact everyday carry backpack. I have my Fujifilm X-T2 and a 16-80 lens in it, and the rest of the bag I carry other stuff that might be needed, plus leaving enough empty space for any items I may pick up during the day. This is where the Flex Fold dividers really help me efficiently organize the bag for my needs...and it's great that I can change things up when my loads change. This is perhaps one of my favourite features of these PD Everyday BPs.

I will say initially it underwhelmed me, but after using the bag for a few trips and as a daily driver it is by far the best designed camera bag I've owned. I've tried them all, Lowepro, Wandrd, etc and this just knocks them out of the water. It's comfortable, solid materials, zippers work flawlessly, doesn't look like a camera bag, and the side access and customization is superb. I typically use this as a travel camera backpack, daily work backpack, and "dad" pack for outings with the kids.

I just got this bag and it is perfect! I decided to compromise on the tablet sleeve because I wanted the 15L rather than a 20L bag, but to my surprise (and despite what the website/video says) IT INCLUDES A DEDICATED TABLET SLEEVE! So happy to have a great bag with zero compromises and looking forward to putting it to solid use and trying my best to wear it out.

The design of Everyday v2 Backpack is very modern and convenient.
The excellent build quality and the functionality to put in/out simply.
Designed for both the dedicated photographer, and the everyday commuter, this new addition to the Peak Design Everyday line of bags is ideal for everyday carry and light photo carry, making it the perfect bag to bring for just about any occasion. It is a functionally simpler version of their famous Everyday Backpack and includes 2 separate configurable FledFold dividers to keep all photo, drone, and everyday gear organized, protected, and safely secure instead of bunched at the bottom. The outer shell is made of 100% recycled 400D weatherproof materials to keep everything dry during a downpour.

I bought the 15L version and although it is slightly smaller than I expected it is a great backpack if you're not carrying too much stuff. I was able to fit a bulkier 13 inch laptop with some struggles but overall I'm very satisfied with the quality of the product. I think the 20L version is a much better option for everyday carry. This is my third PD product and I'll be coming back for more if I can find them at a discount. Shipping to Mexico took about 10 days so it can be improved with international carriers.

I love my new 20L EVERYDAY BACKPACK ZIP!
Excellent quality and build, all the external and internal pockets & features can suit my needs. Certainly, it will be my partner for my coming trips, no matter carrying DSLR or just a small point-and-shoot. I specially love the 270 degree zip open and internal compartments, they give me flexibility to carry all the stuffs during in trips. Last but not least, I love the clean and stylish outlook of my new bag!
Thanks for the great design!!

This bag is beyond excellent. The zippers operate smoothly and quickly, while not getting stuck or hesitant. The black color is sleek and stealth, love it. The inner compartment is large with plenty of pockets and sufficient padding for camera carry. I love the laptop and tablet sleeve entrance along with the added storage there. The magnetic closures for the side water bottle pockets are a nice touch, as well as the magnetic attachment in the back (luggage handle pass-through). My only, teeny tiny complaint is that there are no outer pockets, which I greatly appreciate in terms of security, however, I found myself wishing there was one - it could even have a tab zipper for securing it to another zipper - an ideal spot for this pocket would be on the front towards the bottom. It would also be cool if this bag got the hidden side zipper pockets of the Travel Backpack - I use those all the time. This bag still deserves 5 stars and I'd buy it again even without improvements.

Little bit about myself for context. My work requires me to travel an overnight trip once a week. I travel for business meetings, so I need to pack a suit plus regular clothes. During my meetings, I'm typically presenting through my computer, which involves having a MBP, batteries, cables, dongles, ipad, notebook, etc.
I've been on the hunt for a single travel backpack given my needs. I don't want to travel with a daypack and duffle or suitcase. I purchased the 20L Everyday Zip and I think it's almost perfect, like 90% of the way there. The main compartment is large enough that I can use a PD medium packing cube to fit all my clothes and there's still a bit of space on top for a small toiletries bag. The smaller side pockets make it easy to store extra cables and cards I don't frequently access. The laptop compartment has little spaces for everything, including the MBP, iPad, charging cables, dongles, extra cables, and pens. The backpack is also super comfortable and relatively light. This is all great great stuff and I truly do enjoy this backpack.
Here's what I'm not particularly fond of. The biggest gripe is the laptop compartment that has a very limited zipper opening. It only goes down about 2-3" on each side and makes it difficult to really see what in there. Because it's not a big opening, your hands rub against the zippers and it's not pleasant. An extra 3" would make a huge different. A small felt lined pocket on top would've been nice.
All in all, it's great!

I've owned the black 15L bag for nine months. I bought it to replace a basic Timbuk2 backpack for everyday use and travel. It's accompanied me on domestic and international trips, many grocery runs, many miles by bike, large festivals, trips to the office, conferences, and other uses.
Overall I do recommend it. The materials are high quality and the design is thoughtful, as one would expect from PD. The structure is sturdy and the components are durable. The ability to strap things on the outside of the bag works really well. The grab handles on the top and sides are very comfortable and sturdy, making it a good option for carrying it for long periods of time vs wearing it. The webbing is like that of a seatbelt strap - high quality. The zipper design is a lifesaver when you're in tight quarters (like sitting in coach) and need to grab something that's in the bottom of the bag. The shoulder straps that are on a rivet so they pivot. All of these kinds of features add up to a bag that's functional and versatile.
Things I don't love / think could be improved:
- It needs a strap retention solution. The webbing flies and flutters when you're doing something like riding a bike.
- The material pretty much always has a "dusty" look to it. It's hard to describe, but even when I received the bag new I noticed this. For example, every time I put it under the seat in front of me in an airplane, it comes out with a bunch of white powdery looking stuff on it that requires some significant wiping to get clean. For this reason, the bag lends itself to a more utilitarian look, instead of the svelte aesthetic I was personally after.
- The sternum strap clip is metal and this can be slightly dangerous. It has whacked me in the head more than once and it really hurts. If you sling the bag around to take a seat in a tight airplane or bus for example, you could easily hit someone and if you caught them somewhere like an eye or a tooth it could actually hurt someone. It does clip onto the strap when not in use but it will inevitably come loose and just dangle, so you have to be mindful.
- I don't use the individual dividers. It's fine in theory but at least for the 15L version and the things I carry, that level of organization is overkill.
- While the straps are great for external carry, I would LOVE to see PD release some kind of cargo carry product, like a mesh or bungie netting that attaches to the external sewn loops. This would greatly increase the carry capacity and take the functionality of the bag to the next level.
- The key carry system is a gimmick to me. Personally ,just give me a normal key loop sewn to the bag somewhere.
I own bags from the likes of Deuter, Gregory, Osprey, and Timbuk2, and while they all have their place, I do think PD does enough to set themselves apart for urban and travel use. I've used the bag heavily and have been impressed. From the looks of it, it will continue to roll me for the next few years at least.

As a 5'5" lady, the 15L size sits really well on my back. Perfect!
I wish the straps were thicker (like the everyday backpack) and more cushioned.
And I wish the bag itself could be lighter.
I don't love the inner compartment, the dividers or the Velcro everywhere. I'd rather a smooth finish and maybe an extra pocket or two. I'll be using this for work, so as others have said, it would be better to have a book/paper friendly option.
I love the look - couldn't decide between grey or bone, but the bone was too lovely. Still, wish it had a little texture/pattern so the color wasn't so monotonous.
If you made this backpack in a wide variety of colors, I think it would easily become a best-seller. It would look so good in heathered colors (green, orange, rose) !!
I bought two to see the colors, and there are differences among them - one has a really tight handle, one doesn't; one has a really tight back pocket and one doesn't so the complaints people have mentioned are there, but not consistently. It's not the design as much as the manufacturing, etc.
Overall wonderful quality and sharp looking! Appreciate the weatherproof quality too!!! I think I'll really like my 15L as long as I can keep it clean!!

Great backpack overall with nice shell feels but the shoulder connecting straps that are near laptop opening zipper feels weaker after a few months of use. (Maybe break in period as I am close to a year of using and it feels the same as then) All other straps are secure.

Very well-thought bag for organization, access and look. Comfortable to wear. I like it!
Where it can improve, is the access to the laptop/tablet compartment that is difficult especially when the bag is full. While it will hold a tablet too, if the tablet has a case it makes it hard to fit.

Bought the 20L backpack, and found that over the course of use of 1,5 years, the bag still holds up well after a handful of trips. The only thing that I feel could be improved on are the external anti-theft zipper pulls - the rubber material disintegrates after frequent use (could be my sweaty hands), and that eventually means that the zipper pull itself gets disintegrated.

This backpack is wonderful for its main raison d'tre: carrying a camera in a bookbag. My Panasonic GX8 stays happily tucked into the bottom section under the configurable gray divider. What this backpack doesn't so well is carry much else than my 14 inch laptop, some pencils and pens carefully arranged in the interior side pockets, and I had to buy a new A5 size notebook for my math class so I could make it fit in there. I plan to try this bookbag out for a photo hike, so I think I'll be able to swap out the laptop and accoutrement for some cheese, jam, a very small charcuterie board, and maybe a small bottle of sparkling water. Just don't expect this bag to fit everything, all the time. It's just as picky as I (you?) are.
