As a someone who's been living in NYC for a while, a good bag is an essential. I get quite a few compliments from people in shops (mostly clerks) about the 30L backpack, which is telling about the functionality and design. When I see other people with the same bag when I'm out and about, it's almost as if we can just give each other a look that says 'yeah, you got an awesome bag'. I've carried this thing all over the world, and it's even saved me one time when I completely tripped on black ice.

I first tried the 20L bag and instantly knew I wanted the 30L, which I purchased. The design is intuitive in its ease of access from the top and side, clever in its many styles and sizes of pockets, durable through flights and the outdoors, and modular in its ease of adjustability with Velcro interior shelving units. The top clip easily snaps into place and the pack sits flush against the bag. It has become my everyday pack whether it is holding my lunch, a 32-oz Nalgene, and book or adding in my Nintendo Switch, 2020 12.9-inch iPad Pro, and a journal!

These bags are the absolute best, the look awesome, sleek and sooo functional. I set it on my desk once and went to the restroom, and I inadvertently cought the CEO of a the company snapping a picture of it. He showed up a week later with the same bag.

I bought the 20l Ash variant a few weeks ago. I was a little wary of dumping this much money on a backpack, but boy is it ever worth it. This backpack solves literally all the gripes I've had with other backpacks so far. Being able to divide the main compartment into lots of smaller compartments that hold your stuff in place without compromising accessibility to anything is amazing. Add in the myriad of thoughtfully designed dedicated pouches all throughout the thing, the external carry straps, incredibly satisfying magnets everywhere, and in my opinion great look, and this is basically the perfect backpack as far as I'm concerned. There's only two minor negatives I've identified so far: - The "small stuff"-compartment that's accessible through the same zipper as the notebook and tablet compartments shares its space with the big main compartment (it kind of hangs into it - see attached photo), and is separated from it only by the stretchy, thin fabric the compartment is made of. It works great so far, but while rummaging about in the main compartment, I'm always a little worried I'll get caught in something that sits in the small compartment and accidentally damage that fabric holding it. - The little tag with the serial number for registering the backpack sits tucked away in one of the small pouches and is incredibly hard to get to. I actually resorted to sliding my mobile phone in and taking a picture, instead of just reading the tag myself. This could be made a little more accessible. This is a one-time only, extremely minor annoyance, but wanted to mention it. Overall, greatly recommended, and I'm a little sad that the pandemic situation doesn't allow for more opportunities to use it.

I love this backpack for its versatility and the high quality of the build materials. There are almost too many configurations for how it can be used, which is a good problem to have (unless you suffer from analysis paralysis). One of the best features is the lifetime warranty, which I took advantage of in upgrading from the V1 Everyday Backpack. One nitpick I have is that the top rear pocket, in the laptop compartment, gets a little tough to slide my hand into if the main compartment is particularly full. That's a minor issue, though, and I love this backpack, and would enthusiastically recommend it to anyone.

I originally had the V1, which was replaced under warranty after 4 years after part of a zipper broke. The new bag is just a really solid improvement on the original. Better straps and better interior flaps in particular

A friend if mine told me to look into PD when I had mentioned that I was shopping for backpacks. She told me that she suspected I would really like PD products because of the detail and function. I hadn't heard of the brand before, so i started browsing online. I liked what I saw, but it was only after I found the Everyday backpack in a retail store, and got to see/touch/play/experience it in person, and it was then I realized I had to go for it. The things that I didn't see while browsing online were the small details: Magnet closures on pockets and for the straps, hidden pockets in areas I didn't see online, the keychain/device strap, and just the overall quality of constructionincredible. I now also have: Tech pouch, Wash pouch, Shoe pouch, and iPhone case + walletall of equal quality. I'm obviously becoming a real live fanboy. ;)

Great for uni students, work, travel, small Fujifilm owners, mirrorless or even dslrs! I can fit my waterbottle, lunchbox, Fujifilm camera, gym bag, laptop, iPad, and more! I couldn't fit all that in my previous Samsonite bag.

I have this backpack for almost 5 years and use it every day and It is still as good as new. The durability and thoughtfulness of this backpack is amazing. Build to last. I travel a lot and really appreciate the document compartments. The click of that metal magnetic lock is so satisfying. So glad I found this backpack.

I am not someone who normally gets excited about products, and certainly not about a backpack. But the Everyday Backpack is a really special product. The features have been so well thought out, that I like the backpack more each time I use it. It has been great for commutes to work, with the side access panels and direct access computer slot allowing me to quickly access the items I need at setup and throughout the day, and quickly pack them back away at the end of the day. It has also been great for travel, with the external straps allowing me to roll up and attach my winter coats while in the airport, and the addition of a tech pouch (also from Peak Design) makes managing computer and technology access an easy task, not a blindfolded scavenger hunt like in every other backpack I've used throughout the years. I love this pack so much, that I sent one each to my sister and her husband as a wedding gift. And I will admit to being ready to gush about the pack to anyone that asks about it (be warned). The only issue that I've had with the pack in over 6 months of use, is that when it is a little overloaded (read crammed to its limits) I need to be careful zipping one side panel (the right one only) or a specific tooth will get caught and pull out of position. I can work around this though...

This bag has it all. Minimalist? Check. Storage? Check. Pockets? Check. Access? Check. Waterproof? Check. MAGNETS. Check. I recently took this bag on a business trip as my first time out with it in the wild. For the first time, I had room to spare. I left all three dividers in basically the default position, and the bottom section was holding my laptop chargers very comfortably. As an infrequent access item, it was the perfect place. In the center, my tech bag fit perfectly. The top divider had one side flipped up, and the small section held travel sized aspirin, gum, floss, etc, and was accessible either through the top or that side of the bag. The large side held a book, sunglasses, and anything else that needed to be dropped in. In the top pockets of the side flaps, I had granola/nut bars for quick snacks. In the top pouch of the laptop area, I had a ziplock of sanitizer wipes, because you never know. The laptop itself fit in the sleeve a bit snug. To be fair, it was slightly bigger (thicker) than a MacBook, so you might run into issues if you have anything much bigger than that. I could've have fit more in with that configuration, and also could have spend time to organize much better, and get even more into it. This is very likely the last backpack I'll ever have to buy. I'm sold for life on PD products.

I bought the 30L charcoal bag a year ago from the bag swap. It has been absolutely amazing. Everything fits always. The organization system is delightful and it protects my laptop

I bought this for a recent trip with the goal of carrying my DSLR with a 24-70 lens, laptop, and all sorts of small items for the kids. Absolutely love how thoughtfully designed it is. Kept the DSLR safe with its solid construction + the side access made it super easy to get things in and out. I wish the water bottle slots on the side were a bit bigger but we just put the kid's water bottles in there. Would definitely recommend this bag!

I am so stoked about this new bag. The Clip closure is super convenient. Tons of space and movable partitions. It also looks great! If you can afford this bag, you won't regret adding it to your kit.

The Everyday Backpack 20L is the perfect backpack for me. Just the right size, all the right configurations. My mirrorless camera and several lenses fit in the oragami inspired shelves (my only wish is for a velcro strap on the shelves to keep them closed and the camera suspended when the bag is opened from the sidewith a medium size lens the weight of the camera can push fold open. All the other features are perfect for me: straps and pockets and the fit and finish. The style is unobtrusive and easy to cary for a long time. I love the three ample handles (which dont look goofy when the bag is on your back). The laptop case is excellent, and the extra pockets for my sunglasses, passport, and odds and ends are just great. All the maginets that hold everything closed are so well designed. An excellent camera bag

I've had this backpack (20L size) for over a year now and it still looks and functions as if I just bought it. I initially bought this backpack for the photography aspect but it has become my go to backpack for work (I am a nurse) and for travel. My favorite aspect is the side access. I utilize this function so much, especially for travel. And I love the luggage pass through feature. It makes travelling so much smoother. This back pack is so comfortable to wear and I love the sleek design. I've actually thought about getting another colour in the 30L size to make it my permanent travel backpack!

I only have this back (midnight 30L V2) for a few weeks, but it is really good. When these came out a few years ago, the higher price put me off a bit and I bought something cheaper that in the end just annoyed me daily. So glad that I bought this now and it has changed my travel and daily office commute. I travel to customer sites every other week usually, so airports, taxis, hotel, offices are my routine. Having to dig out something from the bottom of a bag constantly was always a pain. The side access to this bag along with the 'Tech Pouch' for organising (additional purchase), is such a game changer. The internal origami style dividers provide so much flexibility and organisation as well. As mentioned, I don't have this bag that long, but i can see the advantages right away.

I needed a bag that I could use to commute to work, but also comfortably and safely carry my camera and some extra gear. This bag is comfortable and doesn't feel bulky. I normally wouldn't spend this much money on a bag, but this was a no brainer and I had been wanting it for a while.
