Loved the backpack however had my grandsons name monogrammed and the writing is very tiny and hard to see.

This backpack is almost exactly what we were looking for for our kindergartener. Other backpacks started to get too small as she now has to bring her chromebook to and from school. My only complaint is that the water bottle holder is a little short. Some of her bigger water bottles tip out of the pocket and there is only one side pocket. The backpack is slightly too big for her, but I know she will grow into it and the quality is excellent so should last her a few years.

I ordered a backpack for my Grandson and had it monogrammed. I went with the blue color recommend by you and you can hardly see his name. I wish I would of gone with a silver or lime green. Besides that, the overall backpack is great.

Really love the bright colors of the bag. I have two twin girls. The only problem I have is with the embroidery. It is so incredibly small. What gives LL Bean? I purchased a back pack years ago for my son. A very nice red one. The embroidery was large and very impressive. Have no idea why the company went with such a small embroidery font. Really hope you will consider using a larger method of embroidery. Otherwise, I do not think I want to us that feature again.

This backpack is our six year old's elementary necessity for books, projects, homework, extra sweatshirt, bug spray, lunch, water, extra shoes, etc. Simply organizes items for an easy to find retrieval. Durable. Easy to use zippers.

My daughter had a Junior backpack for both years of preschool and I was incredibly impressed with the quality ... the bag is still in amazing shape after 2 years of use. Because of this, we stuck with LL Bean and chose this backpack for Kindergarten. The colors are beautiful and vibrant which my daughter loves. It is almost perfect ... it just needs a buckle chest strap !!! Her lunch bag makes the bag heavier and it slips off her shoulders while walking to school. LL Bean please consider adding this feature :-)

Nice backpack but not worth the high price. Smaller than expected without much room to grow.

Doesnt feel like fabric rather some kind of stiff plastic material...although pattern is cute. Price is good but not the same quality that these backpacks used to have. Did not expect this from LLBean.

This is a cute backpack and has decent space (not huge, for middle school definitely size up) but it is most uncomfortable to wear. The straps are hard and stiff and my daughter is uncomfortable with it on.

The book pack is pretty and seems well made. But I returned it, because the straps are narrow, hard, stiff and uncomfortable.

Cute backpack but missing an interior pocket/laptop area that would be good to keep folders and delicate papers separate. I had a less expensive bag last year that had that.

My 8yo said it's uncomfortable. Too big for her shoulders perhaps. We had to put it away into a closet. Hopefully for the future.

This bag is perfect for my 2nd grader! Big enough to hold everything she wants/needs, padded back to keep her comfy, a perfectly sized water bottle holder on the side, AND the print is adorable.

Nice backpack, but I chose black letters and I thought they would be on the grey part but they're not and only the first letter shows. I wish I was told that

My daughter says the straps are hard. Also paid for name, and it's so tiny you can barely see it.

My daughter has only been using this book bag for one week in Kindergarten, and the reflective strip is already damaged. I expected better quality from LL Bean. Im hoping this is the only part of the book bag that wears down that quickly.

I bought this backpack for my first grader - love the design and got the matching lunchbox - however, the backpack ripped before the end of the school year. I was expecting the backpack to last longer than one school year, especially for a first grader since he's not carrying much at this age.

That it does not have an interior space divider or an interior zippered pocket. Also, outside water bottle pocket should be deeper so taller bottle cannot fall out.

Great quality but the backpack straps are really stiff. My daughter says they rub and are not comfy. I hope they break in.

This is a great classic backpack but unfortunately it has not evolved to include a laptop pouch. I didn't think it would make a big difference until my son tried out his school items in it and you could see the weight shifting from the weight of the computer. Please update with the laptop sleeve!

My 7 yr old (2nd grade) used this book bag for 6 weeks & the zipper broke. He's not one to be too rough on his belongings, either. I bought this bag with the expectation that it would hold up for SEVERAL school years, not just a few weeks. Disappointed.

I bought this backpack in Aug 2022 for my daughter. I typically buy a backpack every 2-3 years, so I buy what I think to be higher quality items so they will last. After one year of use the zipper on the smaller pocket began to pull away and eventually broke. I am disappointed that this happened with an L.L. bean backpack.

Not at all the quality I've come to expect from LL Bean. I've probably purchased six backpacks over the years and this will be my last. Skip the monogramming. Horrible quality. Messy and cheap looking and tiny. Not at all what it was.
