A great shoe! Finally I found a shoe that works for me! I had landed on the New Balance 880 V9 and then V10, which both worked really well for me. But as we know all too well, these shoe manufacturers keep changing the fit!! Neither v11 or V12 worked for me at all. The 1080 v12 (albeit a bit pricier than the 880) may be even better than the earlier 880s for me. FYI--I use these running shoes for walking. Can't run anymore because of issue with big toe. I've also got a bunion, so the roominess in the toe box is great, as is the mesh fabric--so no rubbing/constricting on problem area. I strongly recommend this shoe. I can totally imagine it would be great for running as well. Supportive, but not constrictive.

Okay...this is my fourth pair of NB 1080s. I have had the v10s, 2 pairs of v11s, and now this pair of v12s. I love the support in the footbed, and I love the colors. But that is where my love stops. I consulted with NB and they told me to size down because these run big. I usually order and 8w. The v10s were perfect. The v11s felt long (and less supportive overall). So I sized down like suggested to a 7.5w in the v12s. The v12s in a 7.5w are the exact length of the v10 8w. They are shorter than the 8w in the v11. But they ARE NOT AS WIDE as either pair! I have a wide forefoot but a narrow heel. Again the v10 was the best for this, the v11 was sloppy in the heel, and the v12 feels great in the heel, but my toes feel like they rub together when I run. The first few runs my little toe went numb. After putting a few miles on them the knit upper has stretched a bit which has helped to alleviate some, but not all of the issue. The length is great in the 1/2 size smaller, but the width is terrible. Lots of compliments on style, and like I said, they have great support. I decided to keep them because I cut back on miles for the summer anyways and these seem like they are durable enough to get me through. I just wish it was truly a "wide" shoe like before, that 1/4 inch or so makes a huge difference. Also, shoe laces could be longer. I cannot properly tie them with a runners knot for extra heal grip. I had high hopes, especially for the $$. First pair of running shoes that I paid that much for. I have been running in these for about a month now for reference.
*Long distance runner
*Marathon Runner
Photographed with the v10s for size reference, you'll notice the 7.5w is the same length as the 8w in the v10, but the width is just a bit narrower and it does matter.

I was so excited to receive these but am sending them back. I am a wide fit with a narrow heel and I have a bunion. I do not like the recent style of a wide sneaker that exaggerates the toe box by rounding out there and no where else. No one wants their already wide shoes to look clownish and even wider than they are. I hope the manufacturers will stop doing this. Oh well, back to the drawing board for an all white running shoe.

I am a medium width but order a wide for foot health. I ordered the wide in this shoe and I feel it is tight, much tighter than my Hoka's. The toe box is very roomy, no complaints there but across the top of the foot, where the lacing is, it is too tight for me. I've loosened the laces and worn for a week but still more restrictive than I would like. The tongue of the shoe is not loose, it's sewn into and a part of the shoe and I think that is what is constricting. If I had not worn them a week thinking they would loosen up, I would return them as they are obnoxiously expensive. It's just hard to find a nice pair of white non-leather sneaker so I was willing to make the investment.

These shoes are really stylish, but they killed my feet! I’ve never had a pair of New Balance sneakers make my feet hurt so badly. I’ve gotten the 1080v10 in the past and those felt amazing almost like walking on clouds, but these ones feel like I’m walking on rocks. I thought they would feel cushiony and bouncy like the 1089v10, but they are really hard and heavy. I am going to see if I can take advantage of Zappos Runlimited Guarantee and return these shoes.

Did have to size down a half size according to reviews. Loved the 1080v10 and v11. The v12 is even better!

I've bought four pairs of these shoes. One fit great; one was "sloppy" in the toe box; two were so off-size I had to return them. Beyond frustrating!

I love the 1080 shoe. So comfortable I won't wear any others. I wear a separate insole I bought from local New Balance store.

Comparing the 1080v.11 to the 12. I’m disappointed! It seems like they have made the shoe longer and more narrow. I tried removing the insert but it didn’t change the length. I wear an 8-8.5 W. Not the 1080v12 I was hoping for.

I just LOVE that many of the Fresh Foam X allow my rather substantial orthotics. This one is cut too low on the sides of the ankles, and with the extra height of my orthotic, my feet just come out. I don't have this problem with the 880v12

I feel like Cinderella in my quest for a great fitting and comfortable shoe. I was searching for a super comfortable, supportive and yet lightweight shoe for walking and this shoe was recommended by my physical therapist. The New Balance Fresh Foam are now my absolute favorite! If you have neuropathy or foot pain, or have had foot surgery then try this shoe out! The cushion alone is fabulous! I liked them so much I ordered a 2nd color. I hope New Balance does not change a thing on these shoes!

The 1080v12 does seem to run a half size larger than previous versions. However, I prefer the little bit of extra room and so I'll keep them.
These are the only running shoes I can wear because they are supportive, accommodate an orthotic insole, and have a stretchy upper.

These are my favorite, most comfortable running shoes yet. I have worn Hoka Clifton’s for a few years and these outperform in terms of cushioning and toe box space. Plenty of room in a medium for my very average sized foot. Fit true to size for my size 8. Extra space at the end for all my toes. Still to be determined is how long these shoes will last. Very fashionable and look great on.

Super comfy! Be warned they are apricot as the description says - not at all yellow as the photo suggests. They look like a circus peanut, but that’s kind of fun so I’m keeping them!

My true size is a 8.5/ 39. I usually order a size 9 in a running or gym shoe to allow for swelling while exercising. The 9 in these was massively too long, so I ordered down to an 8.5... also too long!! I ended up with an 8, which fits like my older pair. I like the sneakers a lot, but just be aware they are really quite long!

These fit super comfortable with a wider toe box. I have high arches and these are much more supportive than my brooks levitates. I did a 5K in these and my get weren’t sore!

I was originally going to exchange these for a navy blue because in the photos they looked closer to black. Prior to breaking 2 toes, I thought these were very comfortable. It’s taken me a long time to heal and decide if I wanted these shoes. I already have them in another color, but in a male’s size. I’m still having some trouble with my little toe on my right foot being sore, even though that wasn’t one of the broken toes. Originally the pressure pain started on my big toe on the same foot that my podiatrist said was a bone spur. She was obviously long, because that pain went away until I stopped wearing my SmartWool socks and switched to light weight socks; so I’m guessing these aren’t wide enough. However, my podiatrist had also noted I have a lot of red on other toes and she felt that the stitching of the shoe is causing it. I probably didn’t feel those areas because I have some neuropathy. So, I’ve been trying other shoe brands that have a looser weave around the toes and more room. I use to love New Balance, but the toe boxes use to be wider or rounder. So, I’ve been trying out other athletic shoes and will probably end up with Brooks. I was looking at Hoka, too, but wasn’t thrilled about some of the wild mixtures of colors and I was feeling a really high mid arch pressure. It probably would have been good because I think they might have helped my arches that I think have fallen more. I’ll decide once my new orthotics come in.

The overall design of this shoe seems ok but not for me.
NB keeps changing styles and they never fit the same from one shoe to another.
I usually wear a woman’s 11WW in a running shoe. (I wear for walking)
With NB I never know what to try or order. I went to a NB outlet & every single pair of shoes fit extremely different.
In my opinion, the arch is high and it hits in the wrong spot. The foam inserts are horrible.
I have high arches and wide feet. This shoe is not for me.

The size was just off for me. I have had a 8 N and 8.5 N now and they are both long (like I can fit my thumb width above my toe) and the 8 is just tighter. I am bummed and will continue on my quest for narrow comfortable running shoes.

Fit and size were fine. The shoes hurt my feet. Thought maybe my feet needed to just get used to them. Bought new orthotic inserts for my plantar fasciitis. Still, a week later these shoes are hurting. It has to be the foam.

I had to return this shoe as the heel cushion on V12 was too stiff and hard. I loved the soft elf heel. NB needs to lower and soften the heel cushion like V7 or go back to the elf heel. Otherwise I will have to find another sneaker. I don’t know how people wear this.

I usually get running shoes a half size larger as I like a little extra room. These are a half size bigger and fit comfortably with heavy socks. Not as cushioned as Hoka but close. Great walking around shoes. Wouldn't use for exercise but attractive comfortable shoes for every day use.
