Normally I’m a size 6.5w so I usually purchase size 7 shoes. This style in size 7 felt a full size bigger so I had to exchange for size 6 which fits perfectly. The footbed is still long enough that my toes aren’t cramped and the toe box is wider than most normal shoes so that works out for me. Lots of wiggle room but not too loose. The insole isn’t the softest but not hard, arch support ok. The style is really cute with a shorter boot shaft than their standard Chelsea’s and flat sole with 1” heel, great for everyday.

Fit and size good. Material very good quality. Required no breaking in although that would’ve been ok. These new boots replaced an old worn out pair that have been retired to yard slippers. New boots went right to work.

I have always wanted a pair of Docs but they are always narrow in width … these are perfection … excellent width and size (9) .. they were immediately comfortable with no breaking in… I can wear them all day in comfort ..

This felt wide on my feet, but super comfortable and light for long hours of work, that is why I just ordered another one. It is one of the most comfortable work shoes you will ever get! Highly recommended!

Everything is great but they are a full size too large! The chart is deceptive. I'm returning for a full size down.

Doc Martens have a Big Deal Reputation. And it is justly earned! These are great shoes that shout, "The maker of these shoes cares about fit, strength, good looks and quality!! Really like them! VivaChas!

Really cute boot, but .... the top hits right above the angle and rubs painfully on the front of the lower leg. OUCH! Tried with different variety of socks to cushion the are, but only helped a little bit. Had to return.

It felt maybe an inch too long and O finally decided very thick socks wouldn't solve the problem, no matter how much I like the boots.

These were a Christmas gift for a family member. He loves them so much we came back for another pair in black. A definite win.

i'm really happy with the look and fit of this shoe. I'm usually a 9 1/2- 10 but the 10 was way too big. The 9 fits well even with a medium weight sock. I think the texture of the leather is really a good look. I have also found that unlike some similar style boots, this one is easy to both get on and off (which is a huge deal). I haven't yet tried it on long walks but hopeful!

I tried both the 9 & the 10, because my usual size is generally a 9 1/2 - 10. These run very large and the 9 is a good fit, with plenty of room for a medium weight sock. They are also easy to put on and more importantly take off, which I found was not true with other brand but similar style. I like the finish which is between suede and a roughed up leather, so not shiny, which I prefer. I'm really happy with these so far. Will have to wear to see how they feel over time and distance.

They are beautiful boots, but too clunky for someone in their 60’s and they needed an arch support.

The Hardie II is a good basic Chelsea style slip on boot. It runs a half size large so I added a thicker insole with higher arch support for a perfect fit. When new, the elastic side panels are very tight, making it difficult to slip your foot into the boot. Grab the top of the boot at the top, both front and back. Pull your hands apart until the side panel stretches an inch or so. Do this repeatedly for a couple of minutes. Do this again each day until the panels have stretched just enough for a snug but comfortable fit. Style is a personal thing. After a couple of months I saw some taller Doc's Chelsea boots that look less like a "work boot" than the Hardie II. So, my Hardies were donated. If you like the "work boot" vibe, the Hardie II is a good choice.

I'm normally a 9 wide in women's shoes, and sized down to an 8 in these and still felt I had room for thick socks. Unfortunately they were too small on my larger ankles and really stabbed into me at the top of the boot, so they had to go back. Disappointed, I would expect a unisex boot to have more ankle room.

Full size too large. Purchased 2 pairs of docs, same size. This one was flopping on my foot, the other fit perfectly.

If I kicked my leg out hard enough, I bet I could fling these shoes right off my feet. That's how big they are.
