First off, love that there is basically a gaiter built into these! I really loved the ultra glide when it came out, but hated that there was such a gap around your foot. When the pulsar thrall came out, I was excited to give them a try too. Loved them. This leveled it up even more! My feet never feel fatigued after long runs in them. I just wouldn't wear them in much mud, I'll wear the speed cross for that type of terrain still!

I bought this shoe for work, I am always on my feet, and moving. I had never worn Solomon shoes before. I absolutely love them.

Loving the Pulsar series. I own the S/Lab Pulsar, the S/Lab Pulsar SG and the Pulsar Trail. Super excited to add the Pulsar Trail Pro to my list of favorites. Very comfy straight out of the box, wide toe area, lots of cushion, super responsive and the best part: no need to wear gaiters as the built-in anti-debris collar keeps everything out. Absolutely recommend.

I love the Pulsar Trail Pro! More bounce and cush than the S/LAB Ultra, more stability and grip than the S/LAB Pulsar. I've put about 200 miles on my pair and they feel more comfortable every time I wear them. I've worn them in a couple shorter trail races and they have good snap when the pace picks up. I run mostly on fire road and smooth trail and the shoe handles great there. On very technical sections of trail it can feel a bit unstable due to the higher stack height. The toe box seems to be a bit roomier than other Salomon shoes, but my foot feels pretty locked down. All in all, a super fun shoe that has become a regular in my rotation!

This is a great, high cushioned shoe. Salomon used the sock-like, slip-on fit with this shoe, which I love. It slips on easily too, which is nice. I find the Pulsar Trail series has slightly more room in the toe box, which gives your feet a little more room to splay, without being too much. This also might help you if you have a wider foot. I will be adding this one to my everyday training for sure.

Bought toy Pulsar Trail Pro 2s about a month ago.
Started to use then straightaway.
Took me about a week, to learn how to get my feet into them without taking 10 minutes.
Are the most comfortable running issue I have ever had where I can wear them straight away and they don't hurt at all.
They are so lite, you do not feel that you've got them on.
I Love them.

I bought these on 'deal of the day' and they are great. Was afraid they might be cheap.

These are my favorite Salomon shoes. I wear them for everything from running dirt roads to rocky trails. I love the balance of cushion, springiness, light weight, snd good tread and traction. I even spiked up a pair and ran in them all winter on hard packed snow and ice.

Love the cushion and comfort on the Pulsar Trail Pro! The longest distance I've done with them was 13 miles on technical terrain. I would like to see how they do on a longer run. They are responsive and the cushion felt like something I can use for my all day runs. My go to for my long runs was the S/Lab Ultra, but I think these might be my new go to because of that extra support and comfort.

After owning all of the Pulsar versions (S/Lab, S/Lab SG and Pulsar Trail) I'm quite pleased to add this one to my collection of amazing shoes. Super comfy straight out of the box, wide toe area, very responsive and cushy. And the best part: no need for gaiters as the anti-debris collar keeps everything out. 10 out of 10 for me.

I bought this shoe a month ago and it's now a go-to trail shoe for me! It is sturdy and comfortable, yet springy and lightweight. However, I would recommend wearing taller socks otherwise the collar causes chafing on your ankle.

I trained for and ran the Full Moon 25K in Arkansas in these shoes. I love them! Here are some notes on what they're good for and where they could be improved.
Pros: I love that these shoes have a lower heel to toe drop than many of Salomon's other styles. The 6mm drop combined with the Energy Blade really made a fore- to mid-foot strike feel smooth and more natural. The sock-fit eliminated the need for gaiters, which I really appreciated in the heat. Traction was reliable on rock, dirt, gravel, and sand. The cushion, for me, was excellent. 15 miles is a new record distance for me, and I couldn't believe how NOT beat-up my feet were after the race. I'd done 13 miles in different shoes during training and was in so much pain. But even on the gravel & steep downhill trails in AK, my feet were protected in these shoes. Last, the toe box was a good size. I have a pretty narrow foot, so I appreciate that many Salomon styles actually hold my heel and mid-foot securely. But this style also allowed my toes to spread out and wiggle - perfect for a trail shoe!
Cons: While the cushion on these shoes feels great for distance and is more stable than I anticipated, I still found the stack height to be a little high for very technical trails. While leaping from rock to rock on some hiking trails during training, I nearly twisted my ankle. I wouldn't count these out as trail shoes in general, but I wish there was a "technical trail" version with a lower stack height and maybe slightly less drop for those really root-filled paths. Last, I thought the speed laces could be improved. I didn't have a problem with them, per say. But the laces were super long, even when almost fully loosened. I'd rather have the laces thicker and a little shorter. I think thicker laces would make it more comfortable to tighten the shoe up more. (I wear my trail shoes tighter than my road runners.)
Overall, this is a quality shoe that worked well for me on mixed terrains that didn't get too technical and protected my feet over mid-distance. Glad I got them.

I own several Saomon shoes - always order size 8 and it fits great..
my last order I got PULSAR TRAIL PRO and PULSAR TRAIL PRO 2 , both size 8, both HUGE -both feel at least 1/2 too big if not the whole size..
Did Salomon change their pattern?? What gives?

Had these about a month now. At 70, I wear them only for walking and comfort is more important than ever. I have to use a shoehorn to put them on, but once they are on, they are great. I wae5 them for hours and neverhave sore feet. I've worn Salomon about 20 years now and recommend them to walkers as well as runners!

I have put around 100 miles in these shoes and have enjoyed all the miles covered in them. They are very comfortable and nimble. My one single issue is build quality. After a recent long (very technical) mountain run, both shoes developed holes in a weak spot near the big toe - see photos. One of benefits of this shoe is the accommodating toe box and soft upper. The upper material allows for room when your feet swell during a long hard effort. Unfortunately, the lack of a welded overlay (or something similarly protective) means that the shoe is vulnerable to breaking down in high stress areas.

I love this shoe and wanted it to work for me. It's light, super comfortable. However, it's very hard to get on my foot. And too much work to have to deal with in the event that I would take my shoes off while out on a hike or run. If it were easier to get in to, this would be my fav shoe!

I liked the look of these running shoes and they seemed perfect as a new runner.
However they are very tight round the ankle and as such hard to get on. I understand that is because it's stops mud getting in but I think most people would forego that in order to not struggle getting them on.
I do like that they don't have laces and they are relatively comfy.

I've worn these while trail running and while the sole has great traction and feels supportive, I develop blisters in multiple areas of my feet on just a 5 mile run. I've tried a tighter lace up, looser, and different sock fabrics/thickness to no avail. My foot slides around the shoe as I navigate the more technical areas of the trails. Probably a great shoe for those without extremely narrow feet.

Couldn’t get her foot in. I got these for my mom and after wrestling for 20 min to try and get her foot in, I couldn’t do it! The angle is just too hard for old people! We had to return!

I bought these a couple of weeks ago as part of my trail marathon training. The aesthetic is pleasing and I definitely felt faster but OUCH! I got back to my car with bloody socks. Each foot had blisters near ball of foot and multiple ankle had cuts. I have my ankles with bandages and can't wear normal shoes. This shoe has ruined my training for now.

I was running 8 mountain miles at a time without issue for 6 months. As soon as I switched from S/Lab Ultra 3 to these, I had exhaustion and pain from the beginning of the run to the end. I still can't figure out why they're so different than the Ultras. My foot must slide around a little because I get a blister in my arch. The cushion in the sole is so stiff and the height/weight/shape/drop of the sole so unnatural that I get cramps in all major muscle groups through my legs and hips, even while on a long walk and especially when running uphill...downhill is fine. In these shoes I get exhausted at the beginning of my run as if I were running in sand, and the muscle cramps continue so that I have to walk on and off throughout a shorter (3-4 mile) run...something I never did in the Ultras. Even my knees and ankles don't feel great in these. I can run happily in zero-cushion barefoot shoes and flip flops...these shoes are not usable and I'm pretty upset that I wasted so much money. I've gone on a few runs and walked in them for over a week, and by now I can tell I will not be able to run in them.

I wear a size 9 and it was extremely difficult getting my foot into the shoe due to a very small opening. Once in, it did feel larger than a 9, especially in the toe box. I am returning them.
