Got this jacket for Christmas and it is just what I was hoping for: a moderate-weight jacket with surprising waterproofing and durability. The material is stretchy, there is paracord for cinching the waist, and it is an elegant length. As a Mainer, I have used this jacket in weather down to freezing temps and stayed warm, but for most people, the jacket's comfort range would be 40-60.

Classic style 3 season coat. The part-wool lining adds just a tiny bit of warmth, but it is not really for cold weather. Water beads up and runs right off. Plenty of useful pockets, including side entry hand warmers behind the patch pockets. I would prefer a flapped patch pocket on the chest, rather than the vertical zipper side entry one. A very functional, good looking, comfortable coat.

I needed a light but warm jacket mainly for camping. My wife got one earlier and she really enjoys it's. Since I got mind, I can see why. Great fit and comfort.

It is frustrating to find a rain coat that covers your rump. If you get outside in the rain, you know how so many rain jackets do well for cover your head, shoulders and arms but.. nothing beyond your waist. Just jacket does that.

I'm 5'11" and 180 lbs. Men's. A little flabby but no belly. I have longish arms and torso. Normally, wear medium for LL Bean clothing. Ordered the large after reading reviews. The large is a great fit in arms and shoulders but a bit baggy in torso. These days alot of guys have bellies so manufacturersvaccount for the extra torso space is needed. I like the extra space for a fleece or puffy vest in cold weather. This is a lined shell which is good. Can put a wool or fleece layer underneath. The shell is a bit stiff new but that's okay for rain resistance intended for westside Pacific Northwest showers.

Bought this for my husband to replace a many years old jacket he'd left behind on a recent trip to Greece. He loved his old jacket and I never thought he'd find another that would get an enthusiastic review. He put this one on and said he likes it even better. Good job LLB!

This is a great jacket at a good price. Nicely made and my Medium for a 38" chest fits just right and the sleeve length is perfect. Having a double front zipper and an upper outer zippered pocket (for my mobile phone!) makes it even better. Highly recommended!

Have had this new jacket for 3 weeks and wore it almost every day. We are having a cold wet Spring here in the Rocky Mtns and the jacket is perfect for me. The features are just right as is the true fit. I plan to wear it year round and will layer up for winter so I purchased one size up.

Great foul weather coat. Repels rain well. Roomy enough to wear with fleece for additional warmth in early spring or late fall. Plenty of pockets and draw string to tighten waist.

We are grateful LLBean sells Tall Mens Coats. This was a perfect fit for my husband who wore it alone and with layers on a trip to Scotland. He was comfortable, looked nice, had all the pockets and waterproofing necessary to stay warm and dry.

I, on a very rainy, windy day this spring, found myself without my normal rain jacket and borrowed my husband's LL Bean Mountain Classic jacket. I was sold. It was as long enough to cover any of my longer tops and much better construction and quality than my "ladies" jacket by another well known retailer. I just Velcro the sleeves to the right length and enjoy my rainy windy days.

Easily a favourite jacket. Sleeves are ample enough for a light sweater beneath, great for different weather. I'm a big guy and LL Bean is the BEST at accommodating guys that lift weights and have big arms or a big chest

Perfect fit. I'm a slim, tall man and there will be plenty of room to wear a fleece underneath. Exactly what was needed for our trip to Iceland.

Great jacket! Great in the rain. True to size. I live in the south, great for cool mornings and warmer afternoons. Looks great casual or dressed up. My new go to spring/fall jacket.

Nice quality and it fits great! I was going to order a Large Long; but when I filled out the "What's my size" info, your site told me to order XL Regular... and it's just right!

Not what I was expecting. I was looking for a more 'hearty' jacket. The quality of the jacket is, as usual, superb. I have a winter coat I purchased from LL Bean in the early nineties. It is still in great condition.

Great jacket and just what I was looking for. The fit is fine with extra room for layering if needed but not bulky feeling or looking. I walked 3 miles in the rain & drizzle, and it kept me dry and warm. This jacket will be going to Alaska and northern Canada this summer with me on my road trip from Vermont.
