Took these on a trip around the Colorado four pass loop. As is typical, we got caught in an afternoon storm at 10,000 feet and suited up. Pants kept us dry from the rain and wete sufficiently breathable for 2 hours of rainy hiking. They are definitely pants to put on BEFORE it rains because the ankle zips don't accommodate footwear too well. But I knew that going in. Zippers are fail points for waters so we elected to minimize the water ingress points.
Tl;dr kept us dry. Breathed well for intense, medium duration active wear

A nice simple rain pant. Has the features you need and leaves out the ones that you don't. These consistently kept me dry and stood up to a good amount of abuse.

A decent rain pant. After about 3 hours of continuous steady rain the pant does seem to give into to the saturation and ya do start to get damp - but similar to most rain gear I suspect

Not sure how to use them? Are pants suppose to go under them? if so shorts or really supper thin ultra light hiking pants. Not as generous as the picture. I understand there "minimalist" meant for backpacking but would of like to have a bit more leg room and perhaps a wider hip so you can put them over pants .
The mens Med jacket has room but the pants fall short 0r should i say tight .Use then for all four season.Hopeful they will work for winter sports with just a basis layer under neath .

Product is great. What is not great is having to pay full price on an exchange/return that was purchased on sale originally. Do better with simple exchanges and inventory.

nice materials, quality construction, impractical...I have not had these pants for very long, therefore I cannot speak to their durablility or use in various rain conditions. Initially, these pants seem to be made from quality materials and the construction is very good. They have kept the water our so far. These pants, however, are very slim and fitted. You cannot slip them on or off while wearing boots. If you want to slip them on - you have to take your boots off. If you want to slip them off, you have to take your boots off. This makes them highly impractical for various types of rainy days.

Great pants that seem to be very well made. Unfortunately, the small fits my waist perfectly, but my hips are way too tight. The medium fits perfectly everywhere except in the waist. A simple drawstring would have made these pants a 5 star product. Without a drawstring, these pants became useless and had to be returned.

They looked like nice rain pants. Unfortunately they didn't fit because there is not way to adjust or tighten the waist so I returned them.

The pants fit great, looks great and are waterproof for the most part with one critical fail point. The pocket zipper does not hold water out and channels it down the outside of the leg and onto pants below. Everywhere else held up great but unless your top rain coat/shell covers your pants pockets then water will enter at this point. For reference I was out in continuous but not heavy rain for 20 mins and was wet on both outside legs down to the knees on pants under the minimalist pants as water leaked in.
