I used it regularly for 5 years until I recently lost it on a bike packing trip in the mountains and missed it so much I purchased a new one. I've used it both working outdoors and recreationally hiking and biking. This jacket has proven to be a great all season rain/snow shell.

Great Rain Jacket. I've been out in a good raining a few times and seems to do well. It's a bit heavier than my Filson, which was what I was looking for.

Replaced a larger older version. Lost a few pounds (160# and 5'10"). and purchased a medium to trim it up a bit. Still room for layering. Pit zips a plus. Lighter GoreTex fabric a plus.

Boy I wished that I had a jacket like this when I went to Seattle a number of years ago with my dear brother. Quality jacket with Gore-Tex.

Ithis jacket is lightweight, waterproof and too top it all off it looks and fits amazing. I look cool wearing it and it's not too tight like other clothes, I wear a large and it looks great! I couldn't be happier, I got it a week ago and have worn it everyday and marmot has done it again and made another excellent jacket.

Haven't had the chance to take it for a full spin but so far my initial thoughts are - it is lightweight and it waterproof. Tried it in the shower and not wet out. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Great looking raincoat with Gore-Tex! Fits my husband perfectly and I'm sure will protect him in the rain while walking the dog or hiking in the Rocky Mountains.

Bought it as a shell for skiing and hiking up in the Rockies and it worked very well. It fit loose enough that I was able to layer a base and fleece mid layer underneath. Can't speak on if it works well for rain but it kept me protected from heavy snowfall and strong winds.

Perfect rain jacket! Fit just to size. Hood fantastic - fits over ball cap just right. And of course totally dry inside even in heavy windy rain. Love it.

Excellent purchase! The jacket is simple and very effective. I don't like rain jackets that do too much. Just a simple waterproof and breathable outer layer with a great intelligent design.

This is isn't an exaggeration to say this is a perfect jacket, although nothing can be perfect. I am impressed by the overall quality for the price, the cut, the functionality and the Gore-Text fabric all come together in a well-designed and executed raincoat that has all the functions, such as pockets, arm-pit ventilation, proven breathability of Gore-text, and the super lightweight. I can see myself wearing it in all but the coldest weather when I need heavier layers here in Michigan winter.

This jacket exceeds my expectations; good construction, well-fitted.

I bought this jacket for my partner and it performs as expected- a light, minimalistic jacket that keeps out the rain adequately. It's been an unusually rainy summer where I am so it has been tested extensively in a short time.

I am a female, but love this jacket. I bought one more than 15 years ago, while hiking in North Carolinaand forever since, was my "go-to" hiking jacketrepels water, have "vents". Mine re-appeared after I ordered another, and I'm not sending it backthe updated hood Is worth it. (But I loved the old colorbrighter blue.) Thank you for updating the hat so it doesn't fall back in wind.

I've bought it for sport activities ( like kayaking, hiking). it is quality made. I liked that: 1. it is not very long (i.e. would not interfere with sitting in kayak, sleeves have a secure Velcro closure, underarm pits provide good ventilation, pockets have generous capacity

Been using Minimalist for about 5 years now, from cycling to running to everyday stuff. Very versatile jacket, can't recommend it enough.

I've worn this jacket on a lot of adventures. From multi-day rain storms in the High Uintah Wilderness Area, to Florida tropical storms, this jacket comes with me whenever I need some quick protection from the weather. It has not disappointed me in wet conditions. GoreTex just works. The hood has a great fit because of the adjustable draw cord, and pockets are well placed. It can feel pretty hot inside when the temperature and humidity are high, but maybe I need to experiment a little with the pit zip ventilation more. And IMHO this is a good looking jacket. I am 6' 2" 190 lbs and the LARGE fits great.

The minimalist jacket never disappoints. Well worth the cost. This is my second in 5 years and the other one still holds up after being put through all sorts of weather.
