To sum it all up, these wear well, fit well and wash well. I use these socks year-round, I hike with them and wear them casually, I hike 4-5 times very week in all seasons, feet stay cozy and dry. I've had my first pairs just about one year now with no signs of wearing out. Just purchased several more pairs. I highly recommend these.

Turned out to be a great sock! The brand I liked and used stopped/discontinued their boot rag wool sock. I am diabetic, spend a lot of time outdoors and is not a compression fit which in the past has contributed to edema in the ankles. Their thickness also helps with cushioning and plan on buying more!

Love these socks. Nice and warm and not too tight

I've been buying these socks since the 80s. I don't hike in them--I prefer other socks for that. Instead, these are my hanging-around, keep-feet-warm socks. I don't baby them, though. Often the socks stand in as slippers, which I wear around the house (and sometimes outside) all winter long. They are soft, wash well (I air dry), and the leg/cuff stays up. I've never had holes form in them, but they do lose their loftiness over time, and the material can become thin and worn. I think I have purchased every color that's come out and still have a red pair from 1989. I was happy to pick up a mauve two-pack last year.

My favorite socks. The feel of the wool on my feet is lush. Thick. Comforting. Warm.

Bought a few of these socks and really love them so much I plan to go back and buy more. Warm and comfortable to keep my feet from getting too cold at the office. But they also wash and dry in the machine totally fine without shrinking or losing shape like other wool socks have.

These socks keep my feet warm even in below zero Farenheit, even when I'm wearing open-toed Birkenstocks.

Really comfy. They are slightly loose fitting but don't fall down, a perfect combination.

These socks are essential for anyone who spends winter in the North. Great whether out for a winter hike, snowshoeing, or just sitting in front of the fire. Love these socks.

I now have 8 pair of these socks in various colors. They wash and dry in the dryer beautifully. Highly recommend.

Love these socks. Have purchased for several years. Thick enough to keep feet warm but not so thick that they make your shoes tight. Very well made. I order a size up since they shrink slightly after washed. Nothing beats LL Bean merino wool

these socks fit well, so far they have not shrunk from washing, they look nice, and the price was right.

This was another last minute purchase before I went on a weekend winter camping adventure. There were some other comments about the socks not being thick enough or not being soft enough. I don't like uncomfortable clothing and I found these socks to be perfectly comfy and they kept my feet warm and dry. As a runner I will confess that I wear cotton socks with no sweating or blister issues because other socks always irritated my feet. For winter hiking and camping I did not want to settle for cotton and found these wool socks did not irritate my feet or make them sweat. Wore these in 30 degree weather and hiked through semi-frozen marshes as well as tall grass.

Usually back ordered a bit. These wool socks are primo in our family. None better.

Just ordered more of these same color . Great for winter time around the house warm and breathable . I wear them to sleep because I Just had. TKR and my leg is elevated so I wanted to keep my feet nice and warm without sweating . I live theses socks 8 pairs !
