These shoes were very comfortable for walking in right out of the box; the toe box is roomy and the shoes are warm. I haven’t yet worn in snow/ice but the tread looks and feels like it will be up to that, without feeling so aggressive that it would throw my gait off, which has been the case with other brands.

I have a wide sole (4 inches at widest point), but a pretty normal ankle. I've been having trouble finding shoes wide enough in my normal 10.5 so decided to order an 11, despite the mixed reviews on the proportions of these. There is sufficient room in the toe box. The ankle area is a bit overly wide for me, but as long as I tie them tight enough they work fine. If I hadn't already been walking in Hoka Cliftons, I'd likely give these a rave review, but though the Hatana soles appear rather similar to the Hoka ones, there's nowhere near the spring that the Hoka's provide. However, in this case I was looking for water resistance and Hoka only has one all black or all white leather option that should offer some water resistance, and it costs twice as much as I normally spend on shoes. The Hatana's are more stylish and do appear to be waterproof, at least in the light showers we've had so far this fall. The fabric portions do get damp on the outside, but my socks and feet remain completely dry.

VERY COMFORTABLE! Bought them for our trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton NP. and hiking. Rugged/grippy soles, good cushioning, easy on and off. I’m 63, so comfort is #1!

These were so comfy unfortunately they were wide and a bit big. I would have exchanged but they didn’t have the size I needed until a later date in which I had already purchased something else.

I love these shoes! The fit is true to size and extremely comfortable. The color is perfect for all my workout wear! I love how these shoes can go from walking the dog, grocery shopping to workouts at the gym and hiking. Never knew Columbia shoes could be this comfy!

These shoes do NOT have a composite toe!!! Do not be mislead by the description. I purchased these on my own dime for working at Amazon and after opening the box I immediately realized they do not have a composite toe. Very unhappy and definite return!!!!

These shoes are amazing! Incredibly comfortable – I have worn them hiking traveling, and just walking around the neighborhood. Great support and my feet have stayed dry in all kinds of weather. The insulation is great – keep your feet warm when you need it, but not hot when you don’t.

I like the rounded toe box which gives more room. My orthotics fit well. These are more comfortable than others I tried.

I have plantar faciatis and I work on my feet, these shoes are fabulous! While my feet are tired from a long day they don't hurt. Great shoe!!! Accurate sizing. Not a heavy shoe either.

Bought these shoes for my trip to Yellowstone & Teton. The grip that these shoes have while hiking through trails that have A LOT of rocks saved my life! Very comfortable, could wear for long periods of time.

Purchased a few months ago and have worn them on several day hikes so far. I generally wear a size 8.5 in sneakers. I can wear a medium but appreciate a little extra width. I like to wear a cushy sock when hiking. My feet tend to swell during elevation changes or after a flight. I have problems with heel pain if I don't have enough support. With all that being said, these shoes worked for me in my normal 8.5 length. The width is perfect for me. I can cinch up the laces when I'm in lower elevations and loosen them when my feet swell. I can wear my Smartwool socks with cushion and still have plenty of room. They have great traction and my husband and I were walking through a wet grassy area and his feet got soaked. I didn't even notice the ground was wet because my feet remained so dry! I had no clue, lol. My heel didn't hurt. These run true to size in my opinion and have great support. I'd recommend for hiking and am considering the lighter color. I don't "need" them but I sure do want them!

I bought these to replace a pair of Keens that I loved but that they don’t make anymore. I needed a pair of comfortable AND waterproof shoes for walking my dog - I hate when my feet are soaking wet 2 minutes into a walk from walking in wet grass. So far these shoes fit the bill! They have good cushioning and don’t feel too heavy despite the thick tread. I normally wear 7 1/2 or 8 depending on the shoe. I ordered these in 8 and they fit perfectly. I recommend them if you are looking for a comfortable and waterproof shoe.

I ordered a wide which has worked for me before. Unfortunately these were not wide like my previous Columbia sneakers and I needed to send them back.

Comfortable and roomy shoes for walking. There's room in the toe box and soul of the shoe for my wide feet. They have a really great tread, so if I wanted to wear them on a trail, I could do so easily. Removing the built in orthotics with my own custom orthotics was easy.

I waited so long for these shoes and for the first time I felt disappointed. They were very cushioning. However, I felt they were to wide for my feet from the front of the shoe. I almost felt like I should've gotten a 1/2 size smaller. Sadly I had to return. SO, if you have wide feet. These would be amazing

This is the best all-around shoe I've purchased in my entire life. Purchased twice; now it's discontinued. Great arch support for high arches. Decent width toe box. Excellent soles . Good thick rubbery bounce.

I wore these shoes on a very wet trip to Scotland and they were fantastic. The waterproofing held up extremely well and I was able to wear them on multiple hour hikes 3 days in a row with no problems. They fit well, have a good tread, provide a lot of cushion underfoot, and look great. Definitely got my money’s worth with these shoes.

I needed some new hiking shoes for our roadtrip with lots of hiking through all kinds of terrain. These shoes have been great! The tread really grips, no slipping, on wet surfaces nor going up and down the steep trails. My feet stayed dry when walking through some shallow running streams as well. I did not submerge my feet but the water level was above the soles of the shoes. They have been comfortable out of the box without any breaking in needed. Decent arch support. I wear a size 9 and always wear a 9 1/2 in running shoes. I bought a size 9 1/2 in these as well and they fit great!

These are perfect shoes for walking on trails or taking hikes. They offer stability and support, and the tread on the bottom is sort of like rubber spikes, for good traction. They're a bit too heavy for everyday sneakers or for dancing or aerobics. But perfect for taking hikes! True to size and very comfortable.
