FLANNEL NOT AS "HEAVY" AS I EXPECTED. Legs 3 inches too long and waist a bit tight.

Soft. cozy, and warm, BUT on first wearing the fabric started to pill badly. These pj's should be washed alone , separately, prior to wearing.

The flannel material felt thin and cheap. I have purchased in the past and this is not as good.

The seam in the leg let go and the inside of the top has fabric that has not been stitched down or tacked. When washed the fabric in the top will not lie flat as a result of not being secured

I had to put a 4" cuff on the PJ bottoms. They were clearly not "Short"

These PJs look good until they are washed. Then the fabric along seams rolls up and bunches. Unless you are willing to iron your pajamas (or you have someone to do that for you), you might look elsewhere for better construction. Warm and soft, however.

We thought these PJ's would be great, soft and comfortable. However, after the first wash they shrank to a point where they're no longer wearable. They shrank in the neck, waist and sleeves. Very disappointed. We expected more for the price, and especially from LL Bean.

I'm a huge LL Bean fan for many, many years. I've been buying these for my husband for nearly 40 years! This year I got him the Swan tartan size XL as usual. I washed them once in cold and dried on delicate. They shrunk so much that they were unwearable. I was very sorry to have to send them back. I think that the quality of the fabric has really declined and I am hopeful that it will get better next year

Have been purchasing these flannel pajamas for over 20 years and have seen the material get thinner especially the last 2 years. The pajamas are well made and nice patterns BUT way too thin. I would no longer recommend this item.

I bought these for my husband for his birthday. The first set began coming apart at the seams about 9 months later. We exchanged them, but then the second pair also began coming apart at the seams within 3 months. We exchanged again hoping it was just bad luck, but the same thing happened with a third pair within 2 days. Finally we just returned them. We really wanted to be able to keep them because otherwise my husband loved them. We are so disappointed.

Usually L L Bean gets a 5 star from me but these PJ's, for the price, are a disappointment. The waist band is very tight & uncomfortable. I did not expect the flannel to be tissue paper thin.

The material was nice but they are too long for my 5'9 husband. Sizing description wasn't accurate.

The pajamas pattern and softness are nice. The main problem is that the Tall XL shirt is way too big. I'm 6'5, but this would fit a 7 footer. the stomach and chest are way too roomy. The arms are a bit too long. And the top button is too low, so it feels as if I need to wear a scarf. The pants aren't as baggy as the natural fit, unfortunately. As for the warmth, you'll still need a blanket. They're not nearly as warm as my current pajamas: sweats and a fleece sweatshirt. I really wanted to like them, but because of the fit and lack of warmth, I can't.

Image shown not purchased. 2 Wash cycles, cold H2O: pilling is atrocious. Tags large & irritating. If cut off they scrape.

After several washing this product still produces small cotton balls that are evident on the bed sheets. I would not buy this item again.

My teen is 5'9" and so the regular length fits him. He's still growing so I will need to choose the taller length next fall. One seam came undone in the first week so I repaired it with my sewing machine. Last fall I bought him a flannel pajamas set at a bargain store. The quality was similar as these so I'm not sure these are worth the high price I paid. My teen says these new ones are softer and warmer than the bargain pair. But after a few weeks of use the fabric looks hairy / roughed up. I like that they are 100% cotton. I like that I there is a longer size available.

I like the pajama set, but so far I have only worn the shirt. The elastic band on the pants is too tight. I have the pants stretched and hanging on a closet door to try to loosen the elastic band. After two weeks, not much improvement. Someone maybe can tell me how to fix this. BTW, I am very thin. Everyone says so. I am 6' tall and weigh 140 lbs.

The flannel just wasn't as thick or cozy as what we've come to expect from LL Bean. We returned.

The fit was fine except that the legs of the pants were too short. He wears a regular in all pants; the legs of these pajamas stopped about an inch or more above his ankles. Also the fabric seemed quite thin.

The pajamas are very nice, but you charge an exorbitant price for them! And no sales any more. You have to move fast to get 10%. And don't miss it because it wont be offered again!
