These boots are amazing! First of all, L.L.Bean recommends unique sizing for these boots, but because they are shearling lined, I definitely learned to stick with my normal size. Also, they slide on so much easier than their original bean boot because of the shearling which is a nice benefit (I hate having to sit down and put on boots, so this is a plus). Lastly, these are just way more comfy than their original bean boot. You can definitely feel they are good quality boots, and I love how they feel so warm & cozy. I'm excited to wear them this weekend at the festival of lights parade.

I bought theses a week before I went to Ireland to break them in. I also wore them every day there and they never hurt, very comfy! I also suffer on and off from foot pain from being on my feet all day, I was pleasantly surprised from these boots!

...but I wish the shearling went all the way down. Only the leather part of the boot is lined with shearling. The rubber part is lined in a flannel-like fabric. There is a seam between the two that doesn't lie flat, so if you were thinking about wearing these without socks (like me), you might be bit uncomfortable.
I've only worn them around the house so far, but they are comfortable right out of the box.

Loved the boot but it had a bubble in the name on the back of the boot and I was afraid it would rip.

Love love love these boots! So comfortable and warm. I ordered one size down (10 to a 9) and can wear with thin to medium socks. I can wear thick socks but a little tight in toes.

I waited a long time to purchase these, until I could go in person and see them. I've had a few "duck" boots along the way...well the first thing that hit me was the quality. These are meant for being "out", I like "out" a lot. I'm not looking for a fashion statement but I don't care for wearing canoes on my feet either. I want to look forward to them when it starts to get cold and wear them past when springs in full bloom on chilly mornings taking the dog out. The leather is supple but not too thin. I prefer the Sheepskin, even though ppl say it's very warm. Wool naturally regulates. My feet don't get too hot from that. But if you do run on the hot side, better go with a thinner wool sock. I like knowing that someone sat down and made these by hand. And you know what? Even the rubber matters. I don't want to get a rock or a stick jabbing me and yet it needs to flex too. They feel substantial but not heavy. They don't smell. I would like to see a more eco friendly natural liner. Maybe Buffalo or Merino wool on top a cork liner. THAT, would be amazing. I know my best gal pal will be looking at them for her next gear test. I recommend gear to ppl all the time having worked outdoor gear in the past professionally. I'm keeping these! Thank you! As you know, you got this one right

I bought these boots specifically for a winter visit to Yellowstone. These boots performed wonderfully in 0 degree weather and snow. I snowshoed for miles in Yellowstone and my feet never got cold. Leather was soft, flexible, and boots were warm. I wear a size 5.5 women's and usually go up to a 6 with thick wool socks for winter boots. I tried on a size 6 in the store and they were way to large. Luckily, a size 5 fit well with wool socks. These are the most comfortable winter boots I have ever had in my life

I bought them in a 7 for my daughter for xmas but they run big. I wear an 8 they fit me so I kept them, bad mommy but I ordered her a size 6 and they fit great she normally wears a 7. Order a size down. No break in time, great leather quality. Our only complaint is the foot liner slips back from the toe. Mine seems to be getting better but my daughter's does the same thing. Maybe make the liner a smidge bigger? Can we get replacement lines one size up? We thought about tacking it in place with a dot of glue. I have these in solid blue also with insulation bottom of foot only. Live in them I work for the power company and have horses so they take a beating. I want the olive green next. The blue pair I ordered in an 8 and just slightly big but I drag the to horse shows with thick socks. Is there a brand frequent boot buyer miles?

Read the reviews from everyone! I did. I wear normally sizes 6 1/2 to 7 depending on the shoes/boots. I have wide feet. Multiple surgeries on left foot so it stays swollen more than right depending on the days work. After reading a lot of reviews before spending $243.50 for them and not trying them on, I went with the next size smaller (6 Wide) than I normally wear and they fit PERFECT! I wore them ALL day long, even without the shoe laces not being able to tie. That was the only PROBLEM, they sent 50 inch laces which they did not go all the way to the top. Then they sent me the 54 inch that goes to the top but unable to tie good , so I had to keep them down to next hole in order to tie them. I am not sure why they send the 50 initally then the 54 inch laces because they won't work with these boots. I told LL Bean they need to read their surveys from their customers. They need a 60 - 72 inch laces to send with these boot so it can be laced all the way up and tie appropriately. That's my opinion anyway. See photo below, these are with the 54 inch laces that was sent to be a couple days later. I still wear them though. They are comfortable and WARM!

I ordered mine in November, knowing that they'd be on back order, and got them in April and they are well worth the wait. I live in upstate NY and we still had a few wintry days so I was able to wear them and I LOVE them! They do run big so I ordered one size smaller and they fit perfectly! They are comfortable, warm, and stylish. I wore "duck" boots and shoes as a kid and loved them and I love my Bean Boots now! My daughter wants a pair so I'll be getting them in the summer so she'll have them for the winter. Definitely a great product!!

This is the third pair of bean boots I've purchased in the last three years. I have two pair of uninsulated which I wear all fall, winter, and spring! I've gotten all my boots in a size 9 and usually wear a 8 1/2 in other shoes, but I get the 9 because I love thick socks. Since I wear these boots so often I decided to get a shearling lined pair for the winter time. These boots are everything I hoped for. The only thing is, unlike the uninsulated bean boots the tongue is not attached all the way to the top of the boot, meaning they are not "100% waterproof" (not that LLBean said they were, but one can dream). The shearling is super warm and does not go all the way to the foot bed which I actually prefer. The shearling stops by the ankle bone, which is nice because then you don't need to worry about the shearling rubbing off in the heal. There is thinsulate in the rest of the foot area. You can always purchase the shearling insoles if you need to! I already have them and will most definitely be adding them during the colder months! Thanks LLBean for another perfect pair of boots.

This says sheerling lined I wanted that on my feet and toes!!! And why I paid more for these boots
The foot arch support insert is weird snd not necessary they need to make the sole of the shoe the way they used to 100 percent foot support and comfort
I don't think I could hike miles in the woods and feel my feet would be supported like oboz shoes do . One thing is these boots look cute
They aren't as well made anymore with only guaranteed a one year warrantee
The photo makes the boots look higher than they are also.they should use the same standards thry make their slippers with lots of sheerling fur in those
The boot fur is not very thick and cheaper

Disappointed that the sole of the shoe seemed to be only glued to the rest of the shoe. Too expensive for the quality of construction.

I only wore these twice for just a few minutes while shoveling snow over the winter since purchasing as the left boot is put together in such a way that it folds in (near inner ankle) and is so uncomfortable that it feels like it's digging into my foot. I would not get these again.

What a disappointment. Ordered, like everyone, Bean Boots the very first day of December. Just received. Loose threads throughout both right and left boot, glue on back of left boot along with rub/worn marks on darling Bean Boot label on each heel. Where the two ends meet (just below last loop hole) on right side/exterior, hangs over on to rubber. Also, rub marks all over exterior of brown rubber. Very difficult to believe hand-crafted by experts. Couldn't believe my eyes, how disappointed my daughter will be as well. : (

The shearling lining makes this a super warm winter boot. They didn't disappoint me while dog walking or shoveling- kept my feet warm and dry.

Having read so many reviews stating that these boots ran big, I thought I would try the 6’s. I usually have been wearing size 7 due to bunions and foot surgery. The 6 is too tight in the toe box, though I love the color and look of this boot. It also felt supportive in the heel.

This is my 4th pair of Bean boots and just like the others, these are comfortable. I purchased these for the warmth of the Shearling lining, and it is very warm and cozy. I usually wear size 7 in other boots/shoes but with all Bean boots no matter whether lined or not I wear a size 6. Love the soft burgundy leather with the black rubber!

Workhorse warmest boots for the horse farm. I've had these boots for 3 years and they have been through multiple Polar Vortex's like champions. -25 degrees real temps and I was still able to function around the non heated horse barn inside and out. More than worth the price. If you are debating because of the price, don't. It's the best investment you will make.

Best Maine boots ever. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase. They look great, comfortable and warm. Perfect for mud, snow, and rain walks on local trails. I really like the deep maroon color too. Very happy!
