I was a huge fan of the Gaviota 3. These fit differently - they seem larger or wider and don't feel as stable as the Gaviota 3. Pls keep selling the Gaviota 3 or recommend another model closest to that.

I like Hoka shoes for their amount of cushioning. Gaviota 4 provides stability and added more cushion than Gaviota 3 which feels great, however I don't know why they changed the width of this version and made it narrower. I wouldn't be able to wear it as it makes my toes squeezed. Gaviota 3's width is perfect. Tried Men's 7, however it's too long for me. Please change it back to the original width and it would be a perfect shoe!

I was looking for a wide shoe to try because my Hoka Bondi 7 are far too cushy and maybe the toe box a bit too roomy. I picked the Gaviota based it its categorization as a stability fit. The Gaviota seems to be a bit firmer and the toe box isn’t quite as roomy - both good and what I was looking for. The thing is, the left shoe felt really short, so much so that I had to check twice that it was a 7, not 6.5. I know that feet can be different sizes but I’ve never experienced such a difference. At the end of my 3 mile walk my left toes felt numb. The right shoe is totally fine. I’m bummed because I do like the shoe but I can’t have numb toes every day. ?

I bought these to use on my treadmill because I was getting foot pain in the ball of my left foot. I've worn these 4 times and I can feel the sole of the left shoe rubbing on my foot. I've never worn wide sizes and the right one doesn't do it. Overall my feet hurt after wearing these. Not sure if it's a sizing issue or what. Would not purchase again.

Feels like a platform shoe. My other Hokas have way more room in the tow box, too. These are heavy!

I want to love them, but the inner sole is a little flat for my liking (very little arch support) and the edges of the insoles are rough and cause blisters - even after multiple wears. I've put moleskin along the rough parts, which helps. but I feel like I shouldn't have to. They're just OK.

I purchased these shoes on my podiatrist's recommendation to wear when I'm running and walking. He thought the firm sole would help relieve osteoarthritis toe pain. I think the firmness is helping, but the fit is off for me. The right shoe is perfect, but the seam in the left shoe rubs my arch. I over pronate so this may be more a reflection of the arch support in these shoes than their actual width. My arches are better supported in my Asics Kayanos but those don't have Hoka's firmness. I've never had an issue in the past with my right and left shoes fitting differently.

I need a women's stability shoe (for severe overpronation) that comes in a wide. This shoe would have checked all my boxes IF it were available in a wide. There are no wide sizes in their best stability shoes - the Arahi and Gaviotta. Ultimately I had to return them. For someone who has a regular width foot, I'm sure these would be amazing.

I loved be the HOKA brand & saw everyone wearing them, so I ordered them online. Unfortunately my foot is narrow & it runs just too wide for me. The great news is that the heel counter is excellent but still the sneaker was not for me.

Used to LOVE my Gaviota wides. BUT now they aren't in wide!!! I'm so angry about that. I'd love to get those cute pink shoes but they won't fit my wide foot. Your CS people say "get the men's they're wider". Not a good answer, HOKA. I don't want the men's colors!! Please please please make a wide women's Gaviota in some cute colors! I'm so tired of dark blue shoes!!! I give them a 3 because they'll fit someone and they'll love them even though I can't.

The Gaviota 4 is a definite improvement over the Gaviota 3 but the Gaviota 2 still beats them all. Please go back to the fabric and design used on the Gaviota 2. The fabric on the 3 was horrible...too much fabric and it wrinkled. The fabric on the 4 was better but after walking in it for 10 minutes on the treadmill, the fabric wrinkled when I took it off...looked like a used shoe. Also, the "plush" tongue bunches up but the cushiness of the footbed was good.

I purchased my Hoka sneakers to help with my stability and needed more comfort since my feet hurt a lot. They are not as comfortable as I expected them to be. My feet still was hurting when I wore them.

I loved the feel of these shoes and wished they would make them in a wide width - sadly as a result I had to return them as they pinch the toes for those of us who may have had foot surgeries or bunionectomies.

I absolutely loved the previous Gaviota 3 -- most comfortable and stable shoe I've ever had. I wanted another pair but saw that it has now been changed to Gaviota 4. I had high hopes because of my experience with 3, but I returned Gaviota 4 because they were too tight across the toe bed (and I have a narrow foot) and didn't feel nearly as stable as Gaviota 3. Not sure why Hoka felt they had to change such a great shoe. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

My first pair of Hokas and ??? I was looking forward to these but I'm not sure. I have a neutral pronation but I am starting to overpronate a bit on my left side only. I've only had these Gaviota 4 shoes for a week and haven't had any long walks yet, but my heel pain feels better. The only problem is that I notice what seems to be a slight forced overpronation from the shoe design, which appears to be making my feet roll more towards the medial side (inward) than away from it, and my ankles are a bit sore. Although these are supposed to be designed to combat overpronation, they seem to be creating it on my right foot and adding to my overpronation on the left. I do not want to further aggrevate my overall neutral pronation so I'm going to try them around the house and see of it improves. If not then back they go.

I want to love this shoe. I really do. They are cute, and I feel more stable when they are on. And they have a lot of cushion. But the arch just hits my foot in the wrong place. And every time I try to wear them my arch is uncomfortable within minutes. Maybe it's just me and my foot is made weird?

Great all around shoe. I need stability for over pronation and weakness in 1 ankle and the Gaviota 4 fits the bill. My first pair of Hoka shoes and I am impressed, happy, comfortable and confident walking in them. Seem to be a well constructed and quality shoe. Time will tell. Would like to see more colors. I have a slightly narrow foot and they are not too wide for me. Slippery laces, but that is easily remedied with a double bow knot.
