Hubs and I have been doing a lot of walking. I've been using my Nike shoes that gave me all kinds of trouble, especially pain in my hips. A friend recommended Hoka, and I ordered them pronto. They immediately corrected my pronated feet, and the pain was gone. I was wondering if I should sleep in them. As a sidebar, I'm so glad I was able to purchase shoes that weren't wacky colors. I'm not a toddler, nor do I need something that looks like a marshmallow from Lucky Charms.

Long awaited upgrade graviota
I am a size 7 petite 5' 110 lb
Disappointing as it just is not a comfortable shoe at all !
the toe box is to narrow. The style of the sole feels very stiff not cushiony at all. It feels like a trail shoe like the bondi
The drop from the heal to the toe is so drastic it feels like my feet will wear through the front of the shoe.
Picture your feet on a sea saw, that is what it feels like to walk in them
Gravity pushes your foot to the end of the toe box in a most uncomfortable way
If they would have used the sole from a Clifton on top of this they might have had a winner!
Sadly looks are very deceiving with this shoe
Please bring back the Clifton 5
It was the Best shoe ever

I was very skeptical about these shoes, but needed something that would help my back and feet at my job. I stand for hours at a time on asphalt and it was killing my feet and back, so I tried these shoes. Absolutely stunned at the difference! No back pain at all and my feet are comfortable all evening at work, it's really incredible. Thank you so much for such amazing shoes!

Gaviotas are the ONLY shoe I can run in due to having a congenital foot issue and previous back surgery with hardware in my spine. I am disappointed to see ZERO color options with Gaviota Fours!!! I hope this only because of all the supply chain issues due to Covid and NOT due to Hoka not investing in this model of shoe like it should. I struggled to find Gaviota 3s in my size and colors I like when supply chain issues arose last year so I tried to stick up since I can't run pain free in any other shoe. I was looking forward to the next model version and having fun new color options, and now I am beyond disappointed that it only comes in black! Hoka, please give us Gaviota wearers the same consideration as your other models! We deserve color options too!!!!

I ordered a half size up after my regular size, 9, pinched my toes. 9 1/2 is perfect! My physical therapist recommended this particular Hoka style for various issues. Love the black and white color theme of the shoes too!

As someone who struggles with weight and some days finds it hard to just get out and walk, I was initially skeptical of spending so much on a pair of walking shoes for myself. But I had tried cheaper ones and either my feet hurt, or knees or lower back and they didn't help my overpronation at all. A friend suggested Hoka and I'm SO glad I took the plunge and ordered them!! They are super comfortable right out of the box and fit my feet like a glove. Excellent support and it felt so comfortable to walk that it's now easier for me to get out there. Worth every penny!!

I love HOKA. I did not get a chance to wear these shoes, because they were way to small. I have the Gaviator 2, Bondi and a couple other HOKA's. All have been gret shoes, so that is way I have rated these a 5 star.

I have high arches, that have fallen. I didn't realize how bad my feet hurt until wearing these. For the first time in years I take my shoes off at the end of the day and my feet aren't sensitive, swollen and painful. I did add an insole but they are even comfy without. They feel so good I almost don't want to wear any other shoe, and I'm a shoe gal!!

I have terrible feet. Bunions, narrow heel, plantar fasciitis, and I have a torn ACL that I'm trying not to have surgery for. These are heaven! I usually wear a 9 wide but prefer a 9.5 wide in this shoe. As a teacher these shoes feel heaven sent! I would love more color choices.

The Gaviota 4 has the cushion of the Clifton 8 AND the structure of the Arahi. Doesn't get better than this for daily wear, esp with plantar fasciitis, bone spurs, and pronation.
Only thing I would change is to make them about 1/4" longer.

My right toes slant 1/3 in. Last the edge of the side of my foot so the shoe isn't wide enough there.

It was recommended that I use these shoes post op (ORIF, plates, screws, pins, general hardware knee and below) after an accident and surgery. SO helpful, really.
**Please, HOKA, know that many women love JEWEL TONES, and we don't have pastel clothes. Looking forward to real selection with my next pair.

I have tried Clifton 8 and Bondi 7, of the two i thought Bondi 7 is the one for me. Then i ordered Gaviota 4. And i knew the moment i put them on and walked on them around the house that i have to return the bondi 7 and i will stick to gaviota 4's. Gaviota 4 is so comfy, its like walking on clouds. No pain at all. With the clifton 8 i feel like there's something poking on the side of my feet near the arch. The Gaviotas are supportive, no pain at all. I have inflammation on my ankles and would normally be limping but when im wearing gaviotas i can walk without limping. No knee pain and hip pain. GLAD i found the GAVIOTAS. Its the best of all the HOKA line in my opinion.

While the shoes do provide the stability they advertise, the process of ordering their shoes online and receiving them is painful. I ordered 2 different pair of shoes 6 months apart. Both arrived later than promised. The first pair were starting to fall apart by the time I ordered the second pair. Because I did like the sole and stability support I ordered a second pair hoping for better construction. Sadly, the second pair, when they finally arrived late, were defective straight out of the box. I returned them for an exchange on December 30. After 2 follow up phone calls to confirm they received the return and confirm the exchange, I was told today that the should be sending a replacement pair in another week or two. There is no way to confirm any accurate information online. Extremely frustrating.

The Gaviota 4 is a great walking show. The stability is excellent for anyone with foot pronation. It also has great cushioning if you suffer from plantar faciitis. It does appear to run a bit small. I had to move from a 5W to a 5.5W for this shoe.

The best shoes I have ever purchased! So cushioned and comfortable. I wished they made wide widths in more colors because I'm limited in the colors I can get other wise I'd have one in every color. Other then that I'm very happy

Absolutely adore my new Gaviota 4 shoes!!! I wear a size 8 wide and weigh approximately 300 lbs and Hoka shoes are the only shoes that I can wear for work. These ones do have the appearance of being a little bit more narrow in the toe box but I don’t have that issue at all. Hoka has made a lifelong customer out me and I don’t see that changing anytime soon!!

I was hesitant to switch from the Bondi, but the Gaviota is fantastic. Exactly what the description says; the comfort of the Bondi with more stability. Love them!!

I normally wear a size 11 in Hoka one one shoes (all athletic shoes for that matter), but an 11 in these my toe was all the way to the end touching the fabric. Due to have half sizes in literally every size other then an 11, I had to get a 12. Which just happens to be their largest size in womens shoes. Here's to hoping the wear test is at least good.
