The Trail Code GTX feels unlike any other Hoka hiking boot. They feel like an agile trail running shoe but with the stability of a hiking boot. It strikes the perfect balance of upper flexibility, cushion and ground feel to make it the ideal boot for the more adventurous hiker who does a lot of rock scrambling and creek crossings like I do. In comparison, the other Hoka hiking boots I've tried either feel more rigid and stiff like the Anacapas and Kahas or overly cushioned with zero ground feel like the Speedgoats. The bubble heel was a very helpful feature as it gave me more stability; my ankles felt less likely to roll. These shoes also have a very generous toe box, which helps make for a comfortable hike for my wide feet and allows for a more customized fit should you decide to wear thicker socks or insoles. Grab a pair of Trail Codes for the perfect lightweight boot for the adventurous hiker that wants something that is cushioned, stable, and oh so nimble.

The Hoka is the most comfortable shoe I ever worn. The only problem is it's starting to come apart from the rubber to material

I deliver for FedEx. Jumping in and out of the truck over 200 times a day is so nice. The landing is very soft. I bought 3 more pairs.

I'm Professional Farrier. I wear steel toed boots with met guards all day supporting my weight and the weight of 1100 lb animals . At the end of the day I need comfort and support to do the things I like to do like hiking. I wished I'd of known how good these were years ago! Absolutely love mine.

I'm a mail carrier and bought these to use when delivering on my route in wet conditions. The first day I used them I put 20 miles on them and they were unbelievably comfy all day. Usually I use the challengers for normal dry days but have switched to these every day due to how stable and comfortable they are. 100% would recommend buying these.

Shoe looked good but size offered was very small compared to other shoes. Not ever close to fitting. Would be MUCH BETTER if the shoes came in wide sizes. The world is not made up of narrow feet for a lot of us. It's too bad because it appears to be a good shooe

So. I first looked at these then read a few reviews and thought- It's all hype, these cannot be good at all. Guess what ? It is not hype. These are more than shoes; these are an orthotic device which has seriously improved my life. I suffer from spondylolisthesis and degenerative disc disease; as a result walking has become painful, difficult and, at times, impossible in recent years. Within three minutes of putting my feet into these boots the changes began. I was standing straighter and taller then I have in years, walking correctly with perfect posture for the first time in a very, very long time. The bootfitter smiled at me and said, I told you so. After 4 miles on a rail trail, during which I did not stop to sit down even one time, I felt so great that we walked another half mile. While that may not seem like much to some, for me it was monumental. Though I am somewhat tired, I am not sore, I am not stiff, and, best of all, I am not in pain. At all. I feel great. If you suffer from the conditions I mentioned I heartily recommend these shoes do you; if you enjoy good spine health I would still recommend these shoes to you to keep it that way. My only regret is that I did not begin wearing these wonderful boots sooner.

I have had my trail code gtx for about two weeks and so far they are great . The comfort is as you would expect from Hoka, very comfortable. If they hold up to the daily wear I will be very pleased.

This hiking shoe to me feels way better than the Speedgoat that I am replacing, much more comfortable and has a wider toe box. Right out of the box they felt perfect, wore them a week at Yosemite hiking with zero issues or discomfort. Love these shoes. Hokadon't change these.

Without a doubt, the Hoka Trail Code GTX hiking boots are the most comfortable hiking boots I've ever put on my feet, and they initially appear to have a good terrain grip! So far, I've only done a few short (3-mile) hikes, looking forward to many longer hikes over the summer! Yet to be tested is how well the boots work on wet terrain and slippery rocks. While the top lace hooks make the boots easier to get on and off the feet, it also makes it a little more difficult to adjust the boot fit, so expect to make a couple adjustments as you're getting started on your hike. After that, c-o-m-f-o-r-t! There is a very slight difference in the construction / assembly feel between the inside of the toe box of the two feet, but not noticeable after getting going on the trail.

Spent the day hiking some trails at Volcanoes National Park in Hawaii. For a big 70 years old with a young heart and mind, I would not wear anything else. Best lightweight mid height shoe I've ever owned/ worn.

These are lightweight and the quality is great but they're too narrow for my messed up feet even though I went up half a size. Why won't HOKA make waterproof shoes in wides? Just one color?

I really like these shoes just wish Hoka would stop discontinuing so many of the shoe lines. You find something you really like and then it's gone.

Instant comfort right out of the box! Perfect fit, no crowding. I LOVE these boots. I circled back to buy another pair: one for work, one for leisure. SOLD OUT! Trying Speedgoat 5 for the second pair. Nice job HOKA! My feet love your footwear!!

I work for the post office and walk easily 9 miles a day. These have been a game changer and at the end of my shifts, my feet are never in pain. I do recommend sizing up at at least half a size to fit the normal length and they are slightly narrow so if you'd like a little bit of wet as well, you might want to go with a full-size.

I'm still breaking them in while in the house but I can already tell that they are comfortable, fit well on my size 12 (sometimes wide) feet (these are a 12 regular), and absorb plenty of shock.
