Truth: I wouldn't run far even if being chased.. please don't judge me. I am a surgical technician and I am on my feet for hours in Trauma 1 operating rooms caring for patients in dire situations. Hoka's are a blessing to my feet and back - Cliftons and Bondis were my fave until Fleet Feet put me in Carbon X3. Excellent cushion and they are super lightweight. I usually rotate shoes but no lie I've been gravitating to Carbon most days. Hoka One One Carbon X3 is worth every penny.

They shoes are supportive, comfortable, and accomodate additional orthotic inserts very well.

I use to be a huge Nike Man but with my Hokas I will no longer purchase those products!

I have had every version of the Carbon X, but this pair surpasses all of them. I love the "slip-on" feature, reminds me of the Nikes I used to wear prior to Hoka. Only issue is that I want Hoka to sponsor me, so that I can have a pair in every color!

I've been running on Hola Clifton's for years. With a 70.3 Ironman coming up, I decided to go to Hoka online and buy my first carbon shoe - naturally I decided to to try Hoka's Carbon X 3. My first two practice runs have been faster than I expected- Smokin fast ! I can't wait to have a new 70.3 run PR at next weeks race. Thanks Hoka.

I'm left wondering why, why do shoe manufactures feel they have to reinvent the wheel? I like the Hoka brand and some of their models. But having just received these, I couldn't get them on my feet because of some hairbrained idea that prevents the mouth to be opened fully. Stupid just plain ol stupid, and I was looking forward to having these, as the model Carbon 2 which I liked has been discontinued. Also they said they were white, they are not rather they are a weird combination of bright Yellow and white. I'm thoroughly disappointed.

I'm in the military and run 3 miles pretty much daily. I've always been a Nike user and Pegasus was always my go to. These Carbon X's are amazing. Great cushioning but not too much. The carbon fiber plate has great feed back. Shaved a minute off my 2 mile on my first run in them. This will not be my last pair of Hoka!

I don't run but I'm in retail so I'm on my feet but when it's busy, I'm running up and down the stairs a lot. And carbon x does a great job with the stairs.

I've been using these very often over the last few weeks. At first the heel tab was pretty irritating but that went away with proper socks and everything has been good since then. These shoes make me feel fast and springy!

Ive bought 10+ pairs of Hokas in my life, im not here to bash Hoka, I just hope they make the enxt Carbonx better. this shoe ran a 1/2 size to big, i wear a 12 in every hoka ive bought but this one was a little too big. I was not a fan of the "string construction", it basically makes minimal differance when you tighten strings, and they are very awkward to loosen. I still returned these for a half size down. I love the bottom cushion and feel of the imapct when I run. The Carbon x can be one of the best running shoes in the world, the next model needs some adjustments. Not here to knock Hoka becasue im a cusotmer for life, I just hope the next Carbon X is better.

I decided to buy a pair to replace my X2s for an upcoming half marathon. The new midsole was a great upgrade from the X2s and personally I am a fan of knit uppers as it feels so natural to my foot. However, the X3s just lacked the lockdown of the X2s with the change in lacing system and it felt I could never get a tight enough lock down in my right foot, at least for my personal tastes.

Great shoes but the sole is falling apart. Look like they are months old but relatively new.

I recently purchased the Hoka Carbon X3. I was dealing with severe big toe pain during my workouts due to Hallux Rigidus. My first day wearing the Hokas I had my best workout in 6 months with little to no pain. Incredible !! Thanks Hoka !!

Run 30 miles/week on asphalt, great toebox - perfect size. Only minor issue is I need a shoehorn to get them on, but the fit is great. No chafing whatsoever.

So much to like. Light and fast. Have gotten 2 PR's with these shoes. My favorite thing is that it is like a loafer, No tongue to deal with. So comfortable.

True to size fit. Cushioning is one of the better ones I have tried for road running. I was pleasantly surprised with the carbon fiber plate. It really helped with energy return. I have been training for half marathon and these shoes have helped with my calf soreness.

im bumed out that they discontinued this shoe . ive fallen alot and ive never fallen in this shoe . It's lite and easy to pick your feet up and the soles are thin so i don't kick a rock and wind face down and bleeding . My Daughter told me to buy 2 pairs but I'm too cheap for that

Anatomically, I have a limited range of forward motion in my ankles, and my podiatrist recommended I get a pair of rocker shoes to help reduce the progression of arthritis on the front of my ankles when I walk, run, or hike. I did a lot of research into running/walking shoes and this shoe was the only one that had such an aggressive rocker along with a carbon plate (so the rocker really takes effect) AND was actually a good-looking shoe. These shoes have a very sleek look, are very comfortable, and protect my ankles perfectly for walking, running, and every day use. Just wish they had more color options, but these will be my go-to shoes for years to come.

My first experience with Carbon plated shoes; I was very impressed; long-time running dealing with arthritis and other age related issues. The ride was extremely comfortable and I think will be a good shoe for me to run shorter races (5K 10K) and not have to worry too much about impact.
