I loved my Gamma LT and was worried the revised fit would be a disappointment. Happy to say it's still a winner! It's longer but (unlike other recent revisions) doesn't seem any bigger so still retains the nice trim fit. Photos attached - the red one is the new fit (in Jupiter colourway) and the blue one is the previous fit. For reference I'm 5'3 and slim/petite. The materials and build quality seem unchanged.

Have one for three years and wear it almost every day in winter as the middle layer. It keeps me the basic warm and it never get trouble when you sweat or when it rains. For colder days you might need to add some more layers but it is always the best second or third layer. I also wear it in a 150km cycling event with a real wet raing and cold weather, but it dry very fast when the weather become better. Daily use is also nice, I even wear it in office when it's a little cold. The only negative thing is the side get pill a little after some time, however it does not really bothers

Use this as a mid layer on moderate ski patrol days. Just wore it for a week of spring skiing in the Alps - perfect from 4,000' to 10,000'!

This is my second one of these jackets. I like it as a nice jacket for when it's a little colder but you don't need a full on warm heavy jacket. Fit is good for me as the sleeves are a nice length.

Ridiculously light and extremely comfortable. I keep forgetting I'm wearing it! I think this is going to be perfect for jacket for "sweater weather" season and cool hikes. If you are wanting something for low output activities under 12 degrees Celsius I'd get one of the other Atoms but then you'll have nothing for when it's warmer but still chilly.

Very good material, it weighs very little and warm enough to do intense physical exercise. With a thermal t-shirt and this model you can go out at Zero Degrees Celsius without problem

I've got the half zip version of this and I love it. It is the perfect warmth for winter hiking in BC when an atom LT is too warm. I just used this up and down hiking to a peak in the monashees with only a base layer underneath and it was the perfect temperature. The hood and neck on mine aren't like my atom LT, the neck is reinforced so it's actually a pretty good neck "protector" from wind. The hood isn't insulated but it too is really good for windy days and it's also got a built in visor similar to the hoods on the hard shell jacketsjust not as robust. I have found my atom sl to be the perfect outer layer for hiking and winter running, or when I need an extra layer.

I have been using this jacket for over a year now and I really like it as a light mid layer. Its super breathable and impressively warm for the weight. I use it mostly ski touring and it now comes with me 80% of the time.

I honestly can't tell the difference between this and the Atom AR other than this one doesn't have an adjustable hood. They are both great pieces.

I've had this jacket for a couple of year and mostly use it for hiking and climbing in the spring/ summer/ autumn. I am planning on running in it this winter and I imagine it would also be a great ski touring layer. It could also be used as a mid-layer in colder months.
The helmet compatible hood and high hand pockets are great for use with a harness making it an excellent alpine/ climbing jacket. It's so lightweight that that there really isn't any reason not to bring it on an adventure. The only improvement I would make would be for it to pack into its own pocket in order for it to go on the back of a harness.

Purchased a year ago and this is the jacket I wear most. Very comfortable and warm, yet breathes well. I wear it mostly for walking outside and general use. I wish they had a pocket at the chest whether inside or on outside of jacket but maybe in a revised version. I wear this jacket down to about 32F. I have broad shoulders and overall athletic build, 6' 200lbs and wear XL.

If you are travelling between cities and it gets a little colder in the flight, during evening time in that city - this jacket is perfect. Its super light weight and packable. Looks great, protects from light rain, etc.
It gets chilly in SF in the summer during evening - this is the perfect jacket for that.

For me it's a toss-up between this and the Proton LT, although the proton is maybe meant for 5-10 degree F colder weather. The coreloft is so nice and soft, the jacket is ridiculously comfortable. The outer has held up to regular washing and the occasional tumble dry, and the inner coreloft hasn't done any pilling or thinning or anything that you normally deal with with fleece. The "Arc'teryx" styling on the hood looks great, too. Classic Arc'teryx piece that combines form, comfort, and function.

I bought this jacket as something to wear in Washington in the fall to spring timeframes. It has performed perfectly! It is comfortable, doesn't over heat you, and can easily be worn in and outdoors. It quickly has become my favorite jacket.

This jacket is underrated. It's the perfect mid-level jacket for the in between seasons of spring and fall. I even find myself reaching for it on cool summer evenings. Because the SL is the lightweight and pared down version of its much more popular sibling the Atom LT, you don't get the fuss and bells and whistles like an internal breast pocket, it still does the trick of staving off the chill and provides just enough breathability to support a quick run in cooler weather. For extra protection it throw on a hard shell and I'm good for a windy/rainy winter day. Yes it packs down well and provides a solid emergency layer when the temps unexpectedly dips.

I have used this everyday since I got it! It acts as a light jacket in warmer weather and as a comfortable, windproof mid-layer when the temperature drops.
