The best shoe for long walks! I’m trying to loose the dad bod the easy way. Long walks. I figured if I’m going to put in the miles I might as well be comfortable. I have done several 4 mile walks with +/-400 ft elevation gain. They are really comfortable. I have never owned a shoe like this. They’re plush, neutral, supportive, grippy, with nice foam and gel. Yet I can still feel the texture of the ground. The olive color is great. If your looking for a comfortable shoe for walking this is it. The sizing chart on Zappos is clutch and always works! But if you must know I’m a US10.5 these shoes are true to size. I can see them lasting for about 500-ish miles. Compared to the Nimbus 24, I would get the Novablast 3 for running, and the Cumulus 24 for walking. There is a case to only get the Nimbus 24. It’s, jack of all trades, master of none. If you just run get Novablast 3, if you just walk get Cumulus 24. If you do both, get both (total 1st world problems here). If you are still reading this review I hope it helped and entertained. Now tie up those laces and go for a long walk. We got dad bods to lose with these shoes!

A bit of context: As I've aged and grown relatively weaker, my running stride has changed. I tend now to strike forefoot/flat as I've lost the strength to kick my heels back quite as high I used to. I don't shuffle, but I'm not covering as much distance per step as quickly, either – and my knees let me know they're unhappy on distances over 5 miles. I note this to explain why I was looking for a reliable, neutral, cushioned trainer that would enable me to log miles. I ran just under 2,500 miles last year, so I go through shoes fairly frequently. Based on the reviews here and elsewhere, Asics Gel Cumulus 24 sounded like a good option. Unfortunately, I can't recommend them for frequent runners, as they've worn out more quickly than most shoes and have lost the cushioning they're generally well-regarded for. Pros: sizing is accurate; cushiony out of the box; well-made uppers; good lacing system that makes customizing to your foot easy to do; cushy ride (out of the box) Cons: a bit heavy; the uppers are just thick enough that your feet heat up pretty quickly; and the two fatal cons, 1) the cushioning starts to flatten and not recover at around 150 miles, and 2) the sole lugs wear out, which makes 1) worse. These would be okay if you're an occasional runner or a walker who wants a cushiony feeling stride, but if you're on the road 4 or more days a week I recommend you look for a different shoe.

So far so great. I buy Gel Cumulus every few years. This one is the most comfortable yet. In this version (and perhaps the last one too, IDK) they added more cushion around the shoe topline; taking a bit for me to ajust to it but I now like it. Love the Olive colorway too -- makes them stylish enough to wear when not running.

Perfect fit and size!!! The white and orange colors create a rare, eye-popping combination along with black laces and silver side markings. WOW covers it ALL!!!

Extremely comfortable and proper fit. I have plantar fasciitis and walking can be painful but these shoes alleviate a great deal of my discomfort. I recently purchased ACISC GEL Venture 7 but the Cumulus 24 is more cushioned. However the Venture 7 may prove to be more sturdy the Cumulus is more lightweight.

Feels like walking on clouds right out of the box. I only had to add a small heel lift in one shoe cause one leg is shorter than the other, which solved the problem of that one side hitting my Achilles right where it would blister. The width is great and size is very true. The colors are also fun and stylish, too. I hope they come out with more colors in this style as well. I use these for cross-training at the gym and workout classes, as well as daily wear at work.

I've put in 300+ miles in these, mainly on road and non-technical trails. They've aged extremely well. The midsole foam is still pretty springy but a little bit of the initial comfort has gone. Outsole still exists which is nice.

If someone wants a comfortable, all black shoe, then this is your choice. Plus they have good arch support. Only zonk, and it's a small one, replace those 54" laces with the 63" ones. The original equipment laces are a bit too short.

Excellent, very very comfortable. Coming from Nimbus series and Adidas ultra boost. This is the most comfortable shoe I own now. Ordered one in different color to add to my collection.

This is probably the most comfortable athletic shoe I have ever had. I have a relatively wide forefoot and these fit perfectly. I need a lot of arch support and these are perfect in that respect. The cushioning is so good - it's like walking on a gymnastics mat. I really love these shoes. Downsides: The orange inserts on the sole have started to detach in a couple of places. The orange part of the sole that is in contact with the ground seems to be wearing out faster than I would like. When I used these for pickleball, I worried that the soft cushioning would allow my ankle to roll over. I don't recommend them for activities where you are likely to engage in strong lateral movements.

I previously had Hoka One One Clifton 6 running shoes and felt they really didn't have much stability, I did a lot of research and found that while soft they didn't have a lot of stability or arch support. I really like these Gel-Cumulus 24 shoes, they hug around my ankle, have an open toe box and very stable. I've hit about 45 miles so far and love these shoes, no abnormal wear so far. Will definitely get another pair!

I absolutely luv these shoes. The cushioning was way more than I expected and the relief my feet feel while wearing them makes me very grateful. I've been a Brooks fan for years. Asics has put a dent in that.

ASICS running shoes tend to fit my wider forefoot well. These shoes have the best cushioning of any shoe I have ever had. It feels like walking on a soft carpet. I need good arch support and these have that. They are well-ventilated and keep my feet cool. Downsides: 1. The rubber tread on the sole wears down more quickly than I would like. 2. The tread layer on the first pair I got began to separate slightly from the rest of the outsole at a couple of points. I have had issues with the tread separating from the sole in other models of ASICS shoes. I hope that they can get their adhesives to work better, because these are otherwise excellent shoes.

I returned these because of the fit. I wear a wide shoe, usually 2E, but this 2E was tight. I eventually ordered this same show somewhere else in a 4E and that fits better.

These shoes give me blisters on my heels. I have tried a variety of socks to no avail. Unfortunately I didn’t notice the issue until I ran in them so they are mine to keep. Disappointed in the workmanship, because I have never had blister issues with ASICS before.
