Great shoes! I’ve never been able to wear Vans-too heavy, too flat. But the Skate Chukka Low fits like a real shoe! The arch support is just enough to keep your foot in place and the cushioned insole gives long wearing comfort. The materials are great and the color combination of blue-green tie dye canvas and black suede is modern and fun! These shoes run true to length but a little on the narrow side in width.
I'd also recommend:

I'm a 10 and the size 10 feet fine despite what others are reporting. I have semi-narrow foot, so maybe if you'r foot is wider the pro insole make make it snug.

The interior stitching where the upper meets the toebox is so heavily constructed that it rubs my pinky toe raw on the top and side, as well as the base of my big toe. When I first got these shoes it was really, really bad. I couldn't wear them for more than 4 hours. Now I can wear them all day but if I do very much walking- 10,000 steps or so my feet are so sore and red- the insoles are fantastic quality though! No pain on the bottoms of my feet. The fabric panel in the interior of the toe on one of the shoes has just come unglued, maybe from all of the heat and lack of ventilation? There are decorative ventilation eyelets on the side of the upper. Meaning, they have stitched the pattern where a hole would go on the side of the shoe...but it's closed. There's no ventilation. These babies heat up quick. Also, the Vans logo came unglued from the heel of the shoe where the vulcanized rubber strip joins after just a few days. They still seem like durable shoes, for skating or walking around- just not comfortable. You might like these shoes allright if your feet are a normal width, but if you're on the wider side, try something else. I still think Vans are great shoes but I switched back to Etnies after trying these as Etnies seem to have a wider, more accomodating toe box.

Weirdly small. I like the style, but I tried my size and they were hilariously small, so I went a full size up and still couldn't fit in them remotely comfortably. I wanted them to fit, but it seemed weird to order a 13 for my size 11 feet.

Cheeply made although comfy like all other chukka lows. I will forever be a fan but this was a bad shoe. The crease completely ripped the material exposing the underneath of the cloth or whatever. They were good to be classy for a few weddings.

Fit perfectly, snugly. All vans take a bit to break in but these feel nice out of the box. Love the mix of textures on the outside

I love the gray dark soles so I don't have to clean white soles sides. Use this for skydiving.

I haven't bought one pair of the new days chukka's. I wore chukkas in the 80's was one of my favorite shoes. And I am a vans guy and I respect the Van Doren family @steveVanDoren. And a lot of the new stuf coming from high up corporate ladder it seems they are doing what they did in the 90's and early 2000's. Thers a bunch of vans new ones that look and kind of feel like the skate shoe company's that make thicker harder shoes. Vans have always made quality Cush super skatable shoes. Out of the box redy. When they changed the classics to the Skate Sk8 high let's start ther they are hard and just not the same. So I go and search for the ones that just say Skate or Sk8 once with the non checkered tags those are about the same as the original vans that always seem to come back and bring Vans back. Like the first AVE Weld. That was one of the best sickest skate shoes. So good. Then when the new AVE came out it looked super tech. Not like vans. But it did skate well. The new Rowan 'as I had almost every color way of the last Rowan' was so sick to. I had to get the new ones to try but ther just no wer near the first Rowan's. In my opinion Vans if they just stuck with ther sick shoes like the original Pro half cab. Not the skate sk8 half cab and all the other sick shoes they had and just keep banging out new color ways they'd stay right wer they should. Sick shoes that u know are gona skate great. And the prices as we all see this inflation on about every product in the world the new vans like the AVE 2 for 130$ wow. If they had the AVE weld for 130$ bring that back I would rather pay that big price for the original Ave from about 2016-18 somewhere in ther. One of the best Vans ever made. Please Vans bring back the original styles. Pro cab. AVE welds Rowan 1 and etc. this low chukka has some new and some classic feel and it's good very good. The thicker tongue usually isn't my thing but it feels good and the shoe is soft and skatable out of the box! These are about as close as u can get to all these other vans I've mentioned above.

I miss the old 3/4 Chukka that was perfectly in between low & high top but I am glad these are still made. Great for skateboarding, walking all day, & I have worn these with a suit a few times
