I really wanted these shoes to work. The style is so great and the heel height just what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the leather is so hard and the shoes rubbed under my ankle bone. I don't have that problem on other shoes so maybe its just the nature of the shoe. I ordered wide but would need double wide as it is narrower than other shoes I buy like Cobb Hill. Anyway, so sorry to return them.

Runs small, but I’m not exchanging it for a larger size because the quality is low. The toe box wrinkles immediately with each step and the workmanship is uneven.

Definitely not made for wide feet, despite the sizing up to extra wide (EW/EE). The toe box is so narrow (even on the extra wide) that when I held the shoe up to my foot, my forefoot was easily an inch wider than the sole of the shoe. My wide foot wouldn't even fit in the shoe all the way. Cute shoe but sadly had to return.

These shoes run very narrow, and my toes felt squished into the pointy end. That may be partly because I rarely wear heels, but they're also narrow shoes.

It was shinier than I expected. I expected gray and black, it's more silver and black. The pointed toe just didn't work for me - it was much too tight.

sadly disappointed. always looking for a pair of black shoes to wear for 'good', and the search continues. not comfy - too stiff. didn't notice any arch support. back they go!

Gorgeous shoe, lovely color. Do all Trotters shoes run small and narrow? Do you order a half size up, thereby risking the heel slipping?

Nice shoes but very narrow. Certainly not double wide as was ordered. Unfortunately had to return.

I really wanted to like these shoes as they're perfect for a Dec. wedding I'm attending. Having read reviews, I got them even wider than usual -- no chance -- they're very narrow even in wide. Great heel and style but they're going back. My toes NEVER would've made it through the night:(. As always, love the Zappos easy return policy.

The silver and black brocade shoes are really pretty. However the sole is very hard and these shoes are very uncomfortable.They also felt tight not extra wide.

I decided to order these shoes because of the reviews. Everyone says they're so comfortable but these absolutely killed my feet. No amount of Moleskine or bandaids could make these work for me. They rubbed against every part of my foot. After 4 hours, I could barely walk. I was limping at a speed of 1 mph to my car. The good news is these shoes felt like walking in flats - the heel isn't high at all. But if/when you order these, walk around your house for a few hours to make sure they don't mess up your feet.

Although these shoes are cute, they were too small. I usually wear a size 6 1/2 medium, and that size felt like a 6 narrow.

A pretty and graceful shoe but excruciatingly narrow. It hurt just putting it on my foot. I have worn Trotters before and never had this problem. Very disappointed!

I was very disappointed in the quality of this shoe. I have another pair of this shoe which I purchased several years ago and have enjoyed wearing many times. Unfortunately, a heel disintegrated and there is no local shoe repair shop in KW. Those shoes were well made and had a quality look and feel (made in Brazil). This new pair looks cheaper, has lumps and does not fit well. I am so sorry because I was so looking forward to receiving them.

Disappointing - This shoe would be nice if the straps were stiff leather. However the 'gatherered elastic' look of the straps made them look cheap.

Don't judge the shoe by the look - I thought they looked comfortable and, at first, thought they would be. But after wearing them and spending 8hrs on my feet in them, I felt every pebble and step edge I walked across. The soles of the shoe make you feel as if you're walking on a gravel road in socks instead of a pair of dress shoes.

I loved the style but even the WW was too narrow. I was so disappointed because I really wanted this shoe to work but had to return it because I knew right away it would never be comfortable.
