So far I really like them. Breaking them in isn't very fun(shin splints) but that's part of breaking shoes in. I'm not sure why but the top toe part of the shoes are in dented and can't figure out why. Maybe a defect?!?! It feels weird when walking it's like the toes caves in. Other than that I do like them.

I've run in Kayano or Nimbus for years. The new Kayano design feels so far removed from the shoe that became the go to of my running gear (the 16-22 versions) While I appreciate a lighter shoe, this one feels flimsy and unstable, a less supportive feeling than the Kayano has always delivered . I also am concerned with the durability of the mostly knit upper. I guess we'll see...

The new design made my feet look very wide because of extra material on the sides. The heel cushion is very soft, making it extremely hard to get the back of the shoe on properly. I managed to find a pair of 25s, and sent the 27s back.

I wanted to like these shoes so bad. They have great support and cushioning which was great for my sesmoiditis but the heel on the right shoe killed my foot! I tried to wear them for a few days, hoping it would get better but had no luck.

I've worn ASICS Kayanos for years, due to my very flat feet. They have been my go-to athletic shoe. However, with both the 26's and the 27's I have experienced the left shoe splitting in the exact same place (as other reviews have stated). Likewise, my two older children have had their Kayanos split in. the. very. same. spot. These are an investment shoe and I'm concerned Asics' quality has declined, significantly. ASICS, you've lost me. I will find a different brand next time around.

I prefer the Gel-Kayano 26 it has more spring to it then the 27. Unfortunately it has been discontinued.

Sadly I am returning these sneakers. I sized up to a 10 and the shoe was way too tight in the foot bed and I felt no cushion support. ASICS was so well known for great sneakers and great cushion. I feel their quality has become so poor. Not your fault Zappos. Your service remains excellent:)

I have been wearing Asics Kayano for years. They are my go to shoe. I have arthritic feet as well as a bunion below my little toe. That being said...the Kayano 27 was very disappointing. They are much narrower and are tight in the instep. I have started wearing them for 1/2 runs on the elliptical hoping they will stretch. If I had not worn them, I would have returned. This has happened once before about 5 or 6 years ago. At that time, I was forced to purchase the Kayano in men's which was a bit too wide, but my only solution to the problem. I sure hope this is not the future of the Kayano.

I've been running in Gel Kayanos for years and have loved the support they've provided until now. This model seems scaled back and shorter in the heel so that it very easily feels like it's slipping off. The previous models were "taller" in the heel and provided more heel support and felt a bit sturdier overall while still very light to run in. I bought these without trying them on assuming that I'd be pleased because I've had such good luck in the past. In fact, I'm on the website now hoping for the next model's release and decided to write a review. Hopefully the next design will revert back to more heel support.

Usually love ASICS but these were tight across arch and this has never occurred before. Shoe strings were too short to tie on shoes delivered? Again, first time. So confused by ASICS??

I'm a faithful Kayano wearer for decades. This newest model has the shortest shoe laces! I can hardly tie them....thank goodness I don't double knot my shoes because it would be impossible. Fit is different than other years. Disappointed in the changes

They rub on my little toe and have given me blisters. I like that they are a little more flexible than the 26's, but the toe issues is a problem.

I have worn asics my entire life. I have loved asics and been very loyal to the brand. Although, I am very frustrated with the past few pairs I've purchased. I bought this pair after 2 of the exact same shoes (another style) both had pieces come off the bottom of the shoe. I received these Kayano style and they are beautiful, but within a few runs the fabric is tearing a lot around the ankle, which has never happened to me in any other shoe. Also the shoes squeak terribly for some reason when I walk. I am actually considering another brand of shoes as I just feel the quality is diminishing.

Love the design of the pink and black however the shoes were very uncomfortable. I ended up having to return them. I have three other pairs of the Kayano 27 but these fit much differently. Also the shoe laces were much smaller than the others as well.

I love the color. I love the design. They were very stiff on my feet and too hard I needed more cushion.

These shoes in the past have been a perfect fit. Now it feels like the toe box is smaller and the shoe is narrower

It's not the same as the Gel 26. It ran smaller and snug. I prefer the keyano Gel 26

I got strated on ASICS when i went to a specialty store and after trying on a few different brands, i really liked the Kayano style as I over pronate. I loved them so much, six month slater I bought another pair. Now those are worn out and I went to get a new pair and my mom insisted I get the 27 for my birthday present. They suck. That is the only way to say it. I have specially made orthodics that dont feel great anymore and make my feet hurt, the shoe was made more narrow. I hate them. I wont return them because I don't want to hurt my parents feelings. But the dog can chew them for all I care. If they don't bring back the regular Kayano, 24 and 25, they have lost me as a customer. And my kids too.

They are very comfortable, but after maybe a month or so of daily use, a hole appeared on the right shoe where the breathable fabric and more reinforced toe fabric meets, right in the middle. It doesn't really detract from the comfort, but it's unpleasant every time I look down and see it. I'd still buy a pair of ASICS again, they are really the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, just maybe not this one.

If you're a Gel Kayano fan like I am, then you'll remember a few years back when they ran small? The 27 is like that again. I'll have to stick with the wide width only again - this shoe was so tight across the top that I could barely tire the laces; there was about 1.5" left on either side.
