IMPORTANT TO KNOW that although these are listed as "Originals Stan Smith", Adidas is now making all of the Stan Smith shoes out of vegan "pleather". Plastic basically, not leather. And they cost more!!! Read the details about the uppers material so you are not fooled. I guess these shoes will not longer be my every day go-to shoes. So sad. They should have offered a vegan option and the leather original, and Adidas should've been ethical about letting consumers know the shoes are no longer leather.

Guys--I did not understand that these things are plastic. I liked the look but, I felt like I was walking around in two hot tubs. Or saunas. It was not good. I sent them back.

I read the reviews that recommended buying a half size smaller. I typically wear between an 8.5 and 9, narrow feet, and found that the 8.5 was too large and that the 8 was fine.

Good. I like a loose fit in this style shoe, and the heel area is a little stiff, so the first time I wore them, it hurt a bit on the Achilles area. I bent it several times and now it's fine. They are super cute with jeans. I wanted them back in the 80's, and finally bought them! Glad they are still in style. Melania Trump wore them and reminded me how much I like these Stan Smith shoes. Politics aside, they are great.

True to size compared to other Stan Smiths in a different color. I usually wear a 7 but heard the Stan Smiths are a half size too large. In the white / gold Stan Smiths I wear a 6.5 which fit well . But 6.5 in the navy / white ones were a half size too small. I ordered the 7 and they fit overall well - maybe a tad bit large but not enough that they were nonfunctional.

These are my second pair after sizing down a half size previously. People should size down a full size in my opinion.

Beware, these shoes are sized as men's.

These definitely run large. Order 1/2-1 full size smaller.

Very comfortable and stylish sneaker, but the sizing is so off! I got a size 7 and it felt like a 8-8.5. I wear a 7.5-8 in running sneakers and this shoe is bigger than that.

You should probably plan on going down half a size when buying these shoes. While aesthetically pleasing, these shoes are very stiff, uncomfortable, and have no arch support.

I normally wear a size 9 and these did feel a tiny bit big, but they made my feet look big, too. I questioned the shoes ability to breathe, especially in hot weather, being recycled ‘plastic’ material. I chose a different brand shoe entirely.

Making these "recycled" plastic was a huge mistake. I have extremely dry skin and I struggle to keep my feet moisturize. But these made my feet sweat so bad even with socks. On top of that, they kept slipping off my heels despite my big toe constantly and painfully hitting the front of the shoes. I wanted to love these so much that I ordered and returned 3 different sizes with the same disappointing results. Please bring back the real leather or give us an option of the two.

They are cute and comfortable but lasted two months only. Full disclosure: I placed them in the dryer (which I have done many times before with other athletic shoes with no issues). So maybe let them air dry if you do decide to buy them.

I agree with the other reviewer, I didn't realize these were recycled plastic shoes. Not only are they uncomfortable, they sqeak when you walk and they don't let your foot breathe. I think they should be $25 if you are just wearing them as a fashion statement in a loud place where no one can hear them squeak squeak when you walk.

My daughter loves Stan Smith shoes. This is the 3rd pair I've purchased for her.

I’ve been wanting a pair of stan smiths for like ever. These are wonderfully comfortable once they’ve been broken in a bit which I feel like is the main complaint here in the reviews. The tongue is stiff to start but eventually it wears in and gets less annoying. I’m wearing these daily and can’t get enough. They’re comfy, supportive and warm! What more do you need from a pair of sneakers?

I read every single review because of the sizing issues mentioned. I initially ordered a half size smaller, still too big! I ordered a full size smaller and they were PERFECT! I tried these on with thick no-show socks and sockless and they fit PERFECTLY. The fake leather is annoying, but the shoes are still so stylish and cute with everything.

These shoes fit well but I had to order a second pair because the first pair was defective. The shoes are cute but they do retain heat.

I take a full size smaller in these shoes than I do in regular running shoes (ie Brooks, etc.).

My feet are bizarre in that they run wide (but wide fit is too wide), high insteps, high arches. I’m a 9.5 in length but often have to size up due to my instep. Not the case with these. I ordered 9.5 and have worn them most days a week for a month now; I even wore them in public right out of the box, which is unusual because I typically have to wear shoes around the house for weeks before they’re comfortable enough to wear out. These shoes are the most comfortable that I own. I got them in green and I absolutely love the bit of color in a more neutral white tee and light wash jeans combo. Simple and stylish, even for someone who is not a regular sneakers wearer.

These are great shoes, but they don't just "run big." They are totally mis-sized for the U.S. women's market. A 9 is supposed to be a 40, not a 41 1/3. They are enormous.

Love the classic look but the tongue was too big for my narrow ankles.

My heel comes up in back. Thicker socks did not help. Returning but I really wish I could keep them. These are nice shoes.

I love these! Classic and simple yet go with everything from dresses to skirts to jeans and jean shorts. My only complaint is that the tongue makes a squeaky sound, but I just live with it because I love them!
