These are very nice boots but the front edge of the boot can hit your ankle/leg in a very uncomfortable way. I spent a while trying to convince myself that they would be comfortable but they are too tight for thick socks and thin socks won't protect my leg from the sharp leather edge. If they had just used the same padding on the front of the boot that they did on the back edge of the boot, they would be perfect. They are otherwise quite comfortable and stylish, especially for warm locales where you don't want a full boot.

For probably the first time in buying shoes at Zappos, I've got a shoe that will require breaking in. It's difficult to pull on and feels tight. There's a zipper on only one side; the other is decorative only; for a high-arch foot and without pull-on-tabs, it's not easy getting the foot into the boot. Because it's synthetic, the boot becomes more flexible with a little body heat. Still, I won't wear these out of the house until I've accommodated them to my feet, or vice versa. No, I wouldn't purchase these again, nor would I recommend them.

Shoes are comfortable, look great, and are versatile enough to go with jeans or even dress pants.

They are very comfortable, no break-in period. I wore them all day today at work, plenty of walking around from building to building and my feet were happy. They have good support!

I usually wear 6.5 but always order 7 for boots. These feel a bit large but they are so comfy and look so good that they have been my favorite this fall.

II really have a great deal of difficulty finding shoes that fit my feet properly, especially since they recently grew a 1/2 size! I had to get a whole new shoe wardrobe, and it's been very tough as I have narrow feet. These shoes fit me perfectly. THey are very comfortable, and have a zipper for a better fit. They are made well and have a very serviceable sole. The leather is soft and it has padding behind the ankle so that it doesn't rub the hell.

These boots are perfect for me! I was looking for something low heel, stylist, and comfortable...and these fit the bill. The bonus was quick service, in a box that was environmentally responsible. thank you!

I always wear a 7 med, but these felt a little narrow. Nice looking though.

Exactly what I was looking for--comfortable and supportive. Every year, I look for a new black ankle boot, and I usually end up just using the same worn ones I already have because even with years of wear, they're a better fit for my problem feet than anything I order. These were the only shoes I kept from my order, which included other Clarks. If you are looking for comfort, these shoes are it! They are lightweight, very well padded with foam insoles, plenty of arch support. I really don't understand the black material (neoprene?) at the back above the heel. It feels awkward when I'm walking and I might get annoyed enough some day to just cut it off. The heel is lower than I normally like, but I'm making a concession for the comfort. There are only two reasons these shoes didn't get 5 stars: 1. They are difficult to put on. The zipper barely undoes the shoe and it's a bit of a struggle to get your foot inside. 2. I hate to say it, but these shoes are very much not my style. I find them to be pretty visually unappealing, and it was hard to decide this is the shoe I'm going to wear every day as a woman in her twenties, but my only other choice is chronic arch pain, limping, etc.

A very simple, cute boot, however, it rubbed me on the little toe side - but I have been told I have wide toes. Soft and comfortable (though I think it is faux leather?)

I have a narrow heel and wide toes. This boot pinches my toes. I will be returning it.

Thinking.that the sole could have more anti slip material.

Loose around the ankles. Slipped when I walked in them.

Its too bad these boots hit right around the upper part of the ankles in the bend area, very uncomfortable, the boot was also narrower than I thought. But its a beautiful boot. too bad it didn't work had to send back the same day.

Ankle height of bootie was a little low for me.

Returning these, didn't like the style and they were really tight!

They’re so tight at the opening that I can’t even get my foot in it! It has two zippers but only one of them works. Really bad design.

After reading other reviews that mentioned "runs narrow" and "runs small", I ordered a 9.5 rather than my usual 9. I could barely squeeze my foot into the boot. I didn't even bother trying on the other one.

As soon as I opened the box and saw that these boots were pleather, I put them back into the box for immediate return. Never tried them on.
