Why are so many orthopedic shoes sooo heavy? I have bilateral plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis and right now the PF especially so severe enough that I need serious cushioning, arch support, and stability. These are hard and heavy and flat. So far only Hokas are working for me.

Unlike Vionic's past (Vionic has always been my go-to brand since they took over Orthoheel shoes), these shoes are uncomfortable, tight in the toe-box and absolutely stiff. I've been buying Vionic shoes in size 8 for years, never a problem but these shoes are ill-fitting and definitely not worth the money; they are going back.
I'd also recommend:

I bought these in an 8.5, which do fit. Sometimes I’m an 8 (or even a 9 in athletic shoes). These are stylish and cute and not old lady looking (I’m 50).

Love the shoes. But size was not consistent. Ordered 8 1/2, and the were way too big. This pair is 8, and a little small. I thought sizes would be easy to decide when made by same company.

I can count on any Vionic shoe to be very comfortable and nice to look at. I am being pro-active with my feet by wearing Vionic and preventing any feet problems.

Super cute shoes and of course, amazing support. Only downfall is that there are not the easiest to bend at the toes while being active. But maybe they'll break in!

These are my go-to sneakers for work. They look polished enough to wear with business casual outfits but are comfy enough to keep my legs and feet from aching at the end of a long day running around in clinic. A tiny bit more stiff than my most supportive sneakers, but the trade off is a great look that is comfy all day- i get compliments constantly when wearing these. Fingers crossed that Vionic keeps these in rotation with new colors for the changing seasons!!

These shoes are great. I work 8+ hours on my feet, and the two times I’ve worn these shoes so far, they’ve been very comfortable. No foot soreness at all!

I have found these sneakers more supportive than my previous running shoes which was a surprise. Whether out walking with the dog on the road or beach or on the Elliptical, I have found them better at keeping my foot stable. Really pleased with them.
