The arch support of the shoe is placed very strangely relative to where the arch of one's foot would actually be. It's set further back toward the heel so your foot sort of tilts back and your weight is mostly on your heels rather than evenly distributed. It reminded me of the old Earth Shoes, and how you were sort of falling backward in your shoes. It was touted as great for your posture, when it really wasn't. I very much liked the style of these shoes. The color (Chestnut) is a nice burnt umber/sienna color. And the foot/toe area is roomy. Just didn't feel comfortable with the weird arch thing happening.

I had high hopes for these to work as a slipper for me and occasionally runs to the grocery store. Unfortunately the reviews I read were true. The arch is too far back and they’re just too large and dont stay on my feet.

Ran large -- also, I was hoping for full fur lining -- not the case -- going back!

Fit was true to size but I have a large arthritic bump on my left foot and it put too much pressure on that space for a comfortable fit. Otherwise I liked the shoe. Wish it would have worked.

Shearling is only on top. I usually love Taos but these felt cheap.

I'm having a really hard time finding a well-made slipper with arch support that won't flare up my plantar fasciitis. These are nice slippers but the right slipper on the first pair felt as if there was something wrong with it, so I ordered another pair, same size (10), same color (dark gray), and the second pair was too small. It was slight, but enough to be uncomfortable and make my feet hurt, so I had to send them back as well. What a shame, because had they fit properly, I think they would have been really nice slippers. They seemed very well made. Three stars for the slippers, five stars for Zappos.

This shoe is pretty decent in comparison to many mules, clogs and slides I’ve tried, but not quite the right support for my foot problems. The arch support is a little more forward than I like and that seems to cause some aching in my toe joints. Also, the heel “collar” keeps bending down into the heel cup so that the shoes feel too short even though the 7.5 size feels true in length. Also just slightly too narrow for my average width feet. The faux fur lining is super soft, almost feels like rabbit. These shoes are made with good quality materials, and seems like they will hold up well. Alas, I need to be pickier for the health of my feet and to minimize pain.

The fit and feel we're very good. I bought this as a slide in with a color appropriate for winter! This was a medium and often I will need a wide. The only thing i noticed was more pressure on a corn I have near the edge of my foot.

Love love these shoes! I have narrow feet and a high arch. With warmer winter socks these fit perfect, otherwise they may be a little too roomy for my narrow feet. Cork bottoms are comfy. Love the adjustable sandals as well.

I love this slipper/shoe however it runs short in my experience. I ordered a 9, my true size and at first I thought it would be fine. However after a few try’s at home the back softened up quickly and kept getting caught under my heel. No half sizes. I just reordered a 10 and am hoping for the best. The shoe is well made and attractive enough to wear outside with jeans and other casual pants. Keeping my fingers crossed. Finding supportive slippers that are cozy and not clumpy is a task!

Hoped these would be good house shoes, but they didn't fit the bill. While Taos has decent arch support, overall the shoe has too rigid of a sole to be comfortable.

I have plantar's fasciitis and have been looking for a good, supportive slipper to wear around the house and hoped these would be it. The first pair fit but there was something wrong with the right one - it felt "off" somehow. I re-ordered another pair, same color, same size and this time the fit was slightly smaller and they hurt. Unfortunately I had to return both pairs. It seems like quality control has gone by the wayside since COVID hit. Zappos gets five stars though.

Felt too large so I returned them, but were cute otherwise. The back lip isn't as deep as a Merrell.

Great slippers w/ good support. Helped w/ metatarsal issues.

I usually take a size 9 in a slipper but this slipper was too short for me.

These are cute and the fur inside is like chinchilla fur-the softest ever!! They run a bit small-I usually wear 9.5 and I had to go up to a 10. Also they are definitely NOT for wide footed people. I am still trying these out. I have my own insole in them now and it seems good so far. They sound like office shoes-making loud sounds on hard wood floors-like you would hear from hard soled shoes. I’ll have to get used to that I guess. The insole that comes with the slippers are horrible. They feel lumpy and thin and make the foot feel like it’s tipping outward. I’ve been on a long quest for decent slippers that work for me. I just may be keeping these…I will see after wearing for a while with my own insoles. (Spenco diabetic insoles are great) I am hoping they work out.

I wanted these to work for me, but after wearing them around the house for a few days, I couldn’t get past the loud clunky sound they make on my wood floors. I was trying to see if I could get used to it, but, they really are too loud. Why would they make slippers with this kind of hard rubber? Sneaker rubber would make more sense. On the flip side, they are very cute, the fur on the inner top and sides is chinchilla soft. I like that they have removable insoles. They are moderately warm. They run small-size up. I usually wear a 9 or 9.5 , but I definitely needed at least a 10. A 10.5 may have even been good, but I can’t get past the loud sole.

These are very cute. Nice wide toe box. They were too loose for me across the instep and adding orthotics worked okay but at $120 I didn’t think they were that wonderful. These shoes boast arch support, but the insole is flat as a board. If these were offered in narrow, I think they would work. Very cute shoes/slippers. I’m bummed they didn’t work for me.

The size was perfect and I loved the style. Plus they were great….when I first received them. The backs felt ‘supported’ at first. I don’t mean supportive. I push my foot all the way in before I put my heel down with this type of shoe especially with my feet that are very small in circumference. The width is medium and I wear a 7-7 1/2 depending, so no big deal but with my other issue my feet are pretty darn little. I have to have a little back on my clogs which these do so I was secure ordering them. Mistake. There is nothing solid holding that very back up and in no time it collapsed. This meant I had to up the thickness of the socks I wore. After a month I was walking in the house and the right slipper shot forward a couple inches and my weight came down on the hard edge of the back of the shoe/slipper. Yeowwww! What a bruise. I couldn’t put a shoe on for two weeks and even had to use a cane to support that side for a few days due to the terrible pain. I would include a picture of the ugly bruise but that would be cruel.? Instead I will include a picture of the slipper if I can. Btw, it happened again today as I was walking much more slowly and while I wait for another brand to be delivered. Don’t get me wrong, I really love Taos sneakers…honestly. And their other clogs might be fine but I just don’t recommend these unless your feet can keep clogs on easily.

When I tried the shoe on, it felt quite narrow and confining from the instep to the heel; consequently, I sent it back--unfortunately.
