I love Xero shoes and I tell everyone I know about them. I have the Mesa The HFS and the Vera Cruz sandal. Each has its specific purpose and does what it should. I wish the HFS was a little more affordable as they are my absolute favorite. I am on my second pair Due to wearing holes in the sides where the shoe bends from my running. Although the price tag is high they are tops in fit, weight and comfort. The soles hold up very well and it honestly does feel like youre not wearing any shoes at all while running in them. I hike in my Mesas, great protection and traction as well and wear my Vera Cruz anywhere Im likely to get wet (Kayaking, water park with the kids, the beach, the pool). All in all I am very impressed with Xero and I plan on continuing to wear their products for years to come. My feet cant thank you enough!

It took a little adjusting for how the shoe fit around my big toe. The seam felt a little odd at first... like they were too small. But once I got used to it they have become my favorite everyday shoes.

This is a great shoe, nicer than I expected. I got a mens for a little extra toe room, and it fit perfectly. Im an 8 in womans, 6.5 mens fit great. Ive only done up to 3.5 mile runs in these, mostly pavement and snow. Its mostly slush on the trails here in Alaska right now, so Im super stoked to see how they do on a trail, Im sure theyll be awesome. Theyve got good grip. First time running in shoes this thin, but my feet dont hurt. Pretty sure Ive found my go-to shoe for running and hiking this summer.

My work keeps me outside in various environments and on my feet for long stretches, generally always moving. I gave Xeros a try as my previous go to brand for barefoot shoes kept changing up the model. Eventually, they added so much structure couldnt really call it a barefoot shoe anymore.
At any rate, I started looking around and found Xero. I bought one half size larger in the Mesa Trail than my usual size and they fit great! As far as wearing, oh man, I really like them! First, sounds goofy, but when I first put them on in the morning and stand up, I can feel my foot splay and stretch and that feels awesome. Just enough cushion, very comfortable ... all day. Definitely my new go to shoe. Will order a second pair soon, probably Prios to give them whirl. Time will tell if they are as durable as claimed, but so far great bearfoot shoe! Awesome.

I was gifted a Christ gift card from my buddy. He spoke very highly of Cero shoes. I already have two pairs and will be buying more. I highly recommend this brand! Limousine for the feet! Hashtag that!

Bought these for work and from day one they literally felt like gloves for my feet. Usually by the end of the day when I take my shoes off I get a sense of relief. Now with Zero Shoes I don't get that feeling because the comfort I get from them all day long. Thanks for such a wonderful pair of shoes. This is my third pair of Zero Shoes and I don't ever plan on buying any other shoe but Zero Shoes. Thanks

I had gone through months of back pain and weakened legs from my inability to walk unaided. I slowly got back to walking unaided, but I had balance difficulties. That's when I tried Xero shoes to let my feet actually be able to "do their thing". After weeks of wearing Xero shoes I can feel my feet helping control my balancing. My ability to walk has improved immensely. Thanks Xero shoes.

These are the best non-golf shoe that I have worn for golfing in a long time. It is nice to get back to playing golf as I did in my youth. Great to feel the ground under one's feet.

This is the second pair of xeros I bought and Im going to keep coming back!
Also, great customer service - I had to exchange this pair for a size larger (I thought I should buy a half size smaller and I was wrong) - quick and easy to fix my error. Very responsive and helpful!

I have been hiking for over 70 years, and these are the best shoes I have ever worn. I have worn altars since the 3.0 came out and these are even better. I am walking the GR11 next fall, and will see how they work in the rugged mountains.I sent the .5 shoes back and got the1 shoes which fit fine.

good wide toe box, very good tread, overall great lightweight/minimalist hike shoe. allows natural flex of foot and toes. Runs at least 1 size too short but width is more than enough for me (i am medium width and feel a wider foot would still fit comfortably.)

This shoe is too large, but had been recommended by the podiatrist. I am not quite ready for the style but wanted to deal with new bunions needing wider shoes. I need to keep looking right now. Thank you

Love the look, love the feel!! My plantar fasciitis isn't hurting. I use them for work (I'm not a runner), but stand all day. Once in a while, I have to stop & think when walking because I'm heal striking-and I feel it. I took one star off because of sizing. I normally wear a 10 1/2.. I ordered 11 because it said order 1/2 size larger... I had to return them & order size 12!! ... exchanging was easy though.

I expected them to be tighter, like a glove. But instead, they are very wide at the toe box (good) and everywhere else (not that good). Good product anyway !!!

Aggressive lugs on the bottom. On flat ground like concrete you can feel the lugs pushing in from below. Also I wear 9.5 prior and the size 10 Mesa was too small.

Ive worn Prios for two years. My first pair were too big and my second pair I went down a size and theyre amazing. Perfect fit at M8. These shoes are everything I love about the Prio with better tread and grip which make them a perfect hiking alternative to my daily driver. I bought the M8.5 and I cant spread my toes. Theyre snug which is probably good for tough terrain but theyre honestly uncomfortable in comparison to the room I have in the Prios which Ive hiked in many many times. Ive been doing my best to break these in just walking around the block and around my house but unfortunately theyre too small. These are going to have to be donated to a friend.
This is mainly a complaint about the inconsistency in Xero sizing as they improved the sizing accuracy in 2019 (it used to be way different) for some models but I dont know why I didnt get a good fit for these by going up a half size. Id buy them again if I could guarantee a fit but I actually would prefer to try the waterproof boots. I would advise buying two sizes and spending a couple bucks to mail them back. Do NOT wear them out of the house or anywhere dirty if you intend to return the pair that doesnt fit.

I really enjoy this shoe with one major caveat that I'll get to later.
The shoe is soft and conforms to your foot. It's very lightweight and nimble. I definitely feel balanced and comfortable while wearing it. I've put about 50 miles on the shoes since I've got them and will definitely put as many on them as I can.
My problem with the shoe is the upper mesh will not keep sand out at all. If you're hiking in sandy conditions (e.g., Moab), you will have to dump your shoes every few miles.
Truthfully, that's not a big deal -- just know where this shoe can take you and where it shouldn't. In less sandy conditions on a run, it will serve you well. But, I think a slight redesign is in order.

I no longer run due to back injury, but am an avid hiker. Started having foot problems over the last year and am trying to figure out best solution to that. In the past have gone with heavily cushioned shoes but thought that I would give the minimalist/zero drop concept a try. These shoes fit great (website correctly advised me size up a half size) and are super comfortable, especially in the toe box area. For just everyday wear I love them. I'm not sure they totally work for me on trails, though. I've taken them on short/medium hikes
and while I haven't hurt myself it seems my feet do need a little more protection than these shoes provide, especially on the rougher type of trails. Also, although the shoes are super light I don't feel real fast in them - it's like I'm expecting a little bouncy push-off from the heel area that I'm not getting. Maybe just need to adjust to the minimalist concept. Right now I'm experimenting with insoles from a different pair of shoes that are more cushioned, and that might work better for me. Overall, I do really like the shoes and don't regret buying them, but am not giving them five stars because I don't think they quite work for their intended purpose.

I purchased these because my knee and ball of foot pain were getting worse not better. I have been running in Hoka Gaviotas for many years. I loved the cushiony feeling. Well, the Hoka just lost that cushy feeling. I have logged about 80-100 miles in the Mesa Trail and find my feet and knees do not hurt as much after my runs. Though this shoes is no bueo on the cement bike path. Obviously. Its a trail shoe.

The sides of the shoes felt a bit thin when I got them. I'm a bit scared to wear them in the snow, but they've done well at the soccer fields on cold rainy spring days.
Overall I've been happy with them as my first minimal sneaker.
