This is my third pair of Xero shoes. Made the switch to zero drop almost a year ago and like the design and fit of these the most of all manufacturers I've tried. These are much lighter weight than the Prio and have a more aggressive and sticky sole. Fit the same. They do run small, so I'd suggest at least one size up.

I really wanted these to fit me…. I am a female but ordered the men’s shoes both a 6.5 and a 7 hoping it would be wide enough for me. But no..the length was great, for me, but the width. Cry… I have hobbit feet, 9.5in long and 4.25in. wide!

I ran the Yellowstone half marathon in my new Mesa Trails. That was a very rocky one! The shoes felt great. Nice ground feel, traction and enough protection from sharp edges and thorns. My feet felt great afterwards. I like these shoes a lot.

Size 12 was perfect for me as the size 11.5 was too short in the XTerra model that I returned with no hassle from Zappos. I just love these shoes!!! They fit like a glove. Plenty of toe room. Flexible fabric uppers and relatively thin but traction cleated soles. I have a pair of the original Skoras with the leather uppers that are wearing out. They no longer make those shoes and these will be a more than adequate replacement. My only other comment is twofold: 1. Xero means "zero drop" and not "zero sole." If you are looking for barefoot, these don't quite make it as the sole is flexible but not really that thin. Fortunately for me, they are just the right amount of protection--giving me the fell of the ground but blunting sharp stones. 2. On another Xero shoe that I would have bought except that it is no longer available, the XCursion Fusion hiking boot is not for me because they have changed the toe box from the original XCursion making it narrower and also making the sole stiffer. This is a departure of their naturally shaped wider toe box and more flexible sole. Not a move in the right direction at all!!! Maybe with enough encouragement, Xero will listen and go back to their roots on the XCursion hiking boot?

Great if you are looking for a minimalist shoe. Have not worn for trail running. I use as everyday shoe in fall. Slips on and off easy. Really good sole. Good grip. I am 6’2” and wear size 12 normally. I had to size up to 13s in these due to my toe being right at the front of the shoe in 12s. The 13s fit perfectly. They don’t feel too big or like I am between sizes. Just right.

I love zero drop. And Xero does a great job. I actually purchased and returned 2 pairs of competitive zero-drop golf shoes, before deciding to repurpose these Mesa Trail shoes as golf shoes. They're perfect. Complete benefit of zero-drop technology, excellent grip and feel (like golfing barefoot without slipping), and they're light and cool.

Sometimes I wear an 11.5 USA and sometimes a 12. These are size 12 and they are perfect. I bought a pair of Zero shoes at size 11.5 but had to send them back because they impinged on my toes. Zappos processed the free return with no hassle. So I ordered these and they are keepers.

I didn’t need to go half-size up as recommended. I’m a 9 so ordered these Mesa Trails in Moab Red at that size, plus a second pair in Forrest, a half-size up (9.5). Comfort: five stars, but even the 9’s felt a little bigger once I tried them on with the insoles removed (as recommended for the most minimal sole & zero drop experience). Having said all this, my two main reasons for returning instead of exchanging were: 1. Size 9 was sold out in Forrest, my pick out of the two color ways (Moab Red is more red than Moab lol). 2. I can tell that the mesh outer fabric won’t last long, which is understandably meant to offer the most flex possible. All in all, this was my first experience with zero drop shoes. I think this could be the healthiest way to walk besides being barefoot and I’ve been wearing Birks for over 20 years. I’m still on the lookout for a cool pair in canvas. Love Zappos, customer for life.

Extremely light weight and relatively comfortable given the lack of cushioning. Quality was subpar, and the treads started to fall apart after one use, I returned the shoes

Fabric Material is very bad, after 20 runs of 7-10 each the top fabric is broken in both sides, I am running in the side walk not in trails

Best fitting shoe out of the box. I don’t find them the most attractive, but love the fit.

Very comfortable barefoot shoe. Plenty of room in the toe box in men's size - easier than buying ladies 11.

I am a woman with big feet. I also like a wide toe box; the women's version didn't quite fit, I tried a men's and Yes! They feel great - very flexible and slightly supportive. These shoes are great for tai chi and the gym. I don't think they would stand up to heavy use.

So far these shoes have held up. Haven’t really put them through rough terrain yet.

The weather finally cleared up enough for me to go on a run with these new shoes. They feel really sturdy. The fit felt right for my feet. They are the best running shoes I’ve had for quite a while.

Size guide: this shoe in size 11 was still a touch smaller (length) than Merrill Trail Glove 5, size 10.5. I stuck with the size 11, but still felt a little tight comparatively, depending on how you like your shoes to feel.

Wonderful fit and size. Feel like I have velcro on the trail to keep me attached to the trail. Best hiking shoes I've ever had.

This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I am ready to order more as I have nearly worn them out after wearing them all day, every day, for over a year now.

The glove-like feel of the uppers for the Mesa Trail is definitely the game changer for me. The flexibility of these shoes is unmatched by any other brand I have run in. I run 75 miles a week and have been running for nearly 45 years and have tried numerous brands and types of running shoes over the years and by far these are my favorites. The zero drop and minimalist construction of this shoe has helped me overcome plantar fasciitis and has helped my overall technical downhill trail skills. As an enthusiast of zero drop and minimalist style I highly recommend these shoes.

If you like minimalist running shoes and are looking for a minimalist trail shoe, this is the one. They run a tad small, so go up 1/2 a size, as the Xero shoes website suggests. These shoes are comfortable and work very well on trails. They are also breathable. Plenty of room in the toe box. No heel or arch support lets you feel the ground more and strengthens your feet. Nice grippy 3.5mm lugs on the outsole handle just about any conditions. Really happy with this purchase.
