It's hard to rate this shoe. I'm in my 60s and have a lot of foot pain, so I've been wearing shoes with some cushioning and a lot of arch support. I like the idea of minimalist shoes and how they encourage the natural motions of your feet. I figured it would take some time to get used to wearing them, but after trying them on, I didn't even think I'd be able to walk a quarter mile in them. There's very little padding in the footbed/insole so the pain I usually experience in ball of my foot was not reduced at all while wearing the Xero Prio. I decided not to fight that battle so I returned the shoes. I think people who are older and have chronic foot pain might not be good candidates for minimalist shoes. I could be wrong about that.

I really wanted to love the shoes but they are falling apart after only wearing them for 3 and a half months. I use them for Ninja indoors. They are super comfortable because the toe box design allows your toes to be free. The grip on the bottom of the shoes were great for balance. But the upper material of the shoe is breaking apart already. For the price I paid, they should last much longer...super disappointed ??

I bought these in men's rather than women's as I was afraid the women's wouldn't be wide enough. They fit really well. I usually wear a size 8 to 8 1/2 but ordered a 7 in mens. Love my new Xero shoes. I took the padded insole out. They feel much more connected to the ground that way.

Awesome! Absolutely love the Xero shoes and sandals. Got one each of the Aptos, HFS, and Genesis. All have been super sturdy, and handle wear and tear well. I have REALLY wide feet (normal shoes would easily be 4E or more or many sizes too large) so these shoes have been a life saver for my wide flat feet! Since I used Birk's in the past, I'm thinking of getting the Z-Trek sandals next! Very happy to make the switch to Xero for all my shoe needs!

Initially they are very comfortable. The foot bed and uppers feel really nice, The shoes are shaped like feet the width is roomier than your average sneakers/ runners. They do have a bit of arch support but the best part of the foot bed is the "zero drop". When I put them on after working on my feet all day, they feel great because they have the extra width. I like the style a lot, with the black/white. I might try these running but I bought them more for athleisure, walking, and an all-day kind of shoe.

Let me first state, I really like Zero shoes. I recently purchased the "Prio" model. Unfortunately, they run a half to full size too small. I wear a legit size 13. I also purchased a pair of the "360" thinking both styles would be similar. But the "360" is true to size and has just a tad more padding - while still staying true to the minimal theme. I think the "Prios" would be good as well, but are not true to size. For that, I marked the shoes 3 stars, and returned them. While I could go a size up, I just don't need 2 pairs of similar shoes. I will purchase another pair of Zero's once the "360's" wear out - which should be good for 5,000 miles (according to Zero) - which is awesome. :-) For the good folks at Zero... I took some pictures of the "Prio" and the "360" side by side (both size 13). You can definitely tell the difference in size. The "360" being an accurate size 13.

I really love these shoes. I've had surgery on both of my knees to repair my patellar tendons and minimalist shoes seem to work the best for me for running and exercise. I had tried to go back to more traditional running shoe after I stopped running for awhile but always felt more pain. Since using these shoes my time has splits have dropped and my recovery is faster. These were super comfy right out of the box. I also bought a pair of their mesa trail shoes for hiking, which were stellar.

I started wearing these for relief in hip pain based on the fact that normal shoes with elevated heels and excessive cushioning was actually contributing to my pain. Im surprised that my gate is better. My pain is decreased. Great shoes!

The Prio-Men is the best fitting shoe that I have bought. I have tried the newer models, the HFS and Mesa-Trail, where the support straps are enclosed and found this changed the dynamics of the shoe dramatically causing them to be more narrow and uncomfortable to adjust to my feet. With the Pri-Men this has never been an issue for me.

This was my first pair of Xero shoes. I love the style and it felt great to have my foot free instead of smashed inside my shoe. However, I purchased these in April 2021 and only 6 months later in October the upper part of the shoe was already peeling away in spots and cracking. I only washed them once and they were the shoes I wore pretty much all day everyday. I would expect more durability from shoes that are almost $100 per pair

Already had a pair in a different color. Obviously very pleased or wouldn't have bought another pair. Wide toe box and minimalist style is great.

perfect. The toe box volume is perfect for someone who loved the wide width new balance minimus shoes. Unfortunately new balance has lost their way when it comes to their minimus line but these Xero Shoes are an excellent alternative.

Excellent for the gym. I purchased this pair just to wear indoors and the black pair for casual tennis shoes. These are very comfortable. I had an issue with stitching; however, Zappos did a quick exchange.

My husband is loving these shoes! I have a pair of Xero hiking boots I adore and so I had to get home some so he could fall in love himself. I’ve converted a non-believer into a barefoot wearer!

Searched for thin sole, drop heel tennis-type shoes because my Zeba's have thick and clunky soles. They don't give me the feel of the ground or whatever else I walk on. I'm an older guy with some health problems so good balance is important to me. So is an accurate feel of the pedals on my bike. I took a chance, ordered them and these new zeros fill the bill. Thanks.
I'd also recommend:
I really love my step-in Zeba's because they are step in (no tying). Wish Zero's had that feature.

Due to needing a wide toe box I typically wear Keen or a 4E in New Balance These are perfect for my feet; They are normal width and the toe box is super roomy. These shoes fit me proper. They feel great too. I also appreciate the use of stitching vs gluing everything. I also like the removable sole insert. Too soon to know how durable they are, but so far they get 5/5 stars.
I'd also recommend:

I bought these for my husband for a Christmas gift. He tried them on and was so excited! The balls of his feet are wide, so he usually finds athletic shoes to tight. He loved how much room there is in the tie box.

I won't run in anything else. on the flip side, I won't wear them to do anything else but run. they save my ankles, shins and knees from pain when I run but my feet hurt after a while if I walk around in them all day. its not like I'm just needing to make my feet stronger either. I've had them for over a year and run over 700 miles in them. my feet are as strong as they are going to get. great shoe, but when the owner guy says he won't wear comfortable shoes, and I shouldn't either, he's wrong. I should. when I'm not running, which is most of the time.
