I sized up a half size based on other reviews and was happy I did because these fit snug and stiff! I think I must have snagged a pair that was returned because the right boot had a crease line on the top front and back of heel that the left boot did not. Strangely, the right boot fit significantly more tight that the left which nearly resulted in me sending them back; possibly why there were already crease marks on the right boot? I considered returning to size up again but they were sold out of my size in the desired color at that point. I wore them around the house a couple times a week to see if they would loosen up a bit and Im seeing some progress. Ive owned many pairs of leather boots, but these are by far the hardest Ive experienced to break in. Really hoping they become more comfortable over time, beautiful and classic design.

I was really excited to get these shoes, and I normally wear size 9-10. Reading the reviews, I ordered both a size 9.5 and a size 10, seeing that they run slightly small. When they arrived, I was disappointed that the size 10 was much too small for me. When I looked to exchange for a larger size, I saw that size 11s are not in stock and size 10.5 is not manufactured. I am really sad, as I love the look of these shoes and the brand's commitment to sustainability. I just wish the brand was more size-inclusive.

Ahoe looks nice I think... all weather so rain is not issue. I havent gotten any compliments which surprises me??? I love the color but the show is a little stiff. Doesnt scuff easy so they stay nice looking.

These boots are gorgeous and I wanted to keep them so bad. I got them during a Black Friday sale, so was excited to have a great new pair of boots that would last me for years to come. Unfortunately, I have a high instep and these boots caused me a lot of pain. I followed Nisolo's break-in advice only wearing at home for short stints of time at first, then started wearing them out and about for quick errands. Strangely, I didn't really start to experience pain on the top of my foot until after about 10 wears. These are very narrow boots around the toe and if you have a high instep like I do, these are not the boots for you. I could tolerate them for short periods of time while sitting down, but wow they really hurt the top of my foot when walking. Again, these are beautiful boots (the soles are fabulous, the leather wonderful). But I give them 3 stars because of how narrow they are around the toe and on the top of the foot.

The pair i saw in store were more olive, the ones i received were very brown comparatively. Still a beautiful boot but defiantly would not consider them olive green. The heel of the left one rubs a little on my ankle if i wear thinner socks. might just need some time to break them in a little I've only worn them a few times. They smell like suede heaven. I sized up a half size (71/2 to an 8) any more and they would be to big to wear.

This boot feels very sturdy and well-made. I loved the look of it in the dark olive suede and was really excited to receive it. However, I felt that the top pushed down on my foot enough to be uncomfortable. I'm not sure if this is a high arch issue as noted by a couple of other reviewers since I haven't had this issue with other shoes before (and am not aware if I have a high arches). Although I thought that the boots might break in with time, I decided to not risk it and ended up returning them.

These shoes are so beautiful and the attention to detail is very evident. It does run very snug for those with wide feet, especially with the stiff high quality leather. The other issue I noticed is that if you choose to go up a half size or more, the flex point of the boot is shifted quite a bit and does not match the natural spot where the toes flex during a step. Ive worn my boots for a few weeks now after trying to break them in first at home then for short wears outside hoping they will soften with each wear. They have softened substantially but in the process I have sustained a painful cut in the top of my big toe at the flexion point and because of needing to size up this shifted the crucial spot where the boot and foot should naturally flex. Im concerned that these boots may never be truly comfortable to wear for longer walks but I remain hopeful that the leather with continue to soften.

Broke them in pretty easy over a few days and love them. I've only had them for a couple weeks though and the bottom rubber has already begun to separate from the front of the boot. That's with wearing them around the city and traveling. It's an easy fix with some glue but considering the price and titling I'm a little bummed.

I so so so wanted to love these boots but sadly they arent cutting it for me. I am usually a size 8.5 but have fairly high arches. I got the 8.5 and they fit great length and width wise but push so hard on the top of my foot that my feet go numb after a while :/ I have been wearing them for about 3 weeks in the hops that they will relax and be more comfortable but sadly I dont think these can be every day boots for high arches like me :( Ill probably still wear every once in a while. But if youre on the search for an every day boot and have high arches I would not recommend these, even though they are so cute and very good quality.

I purchased a size 10, my true size. I have slender but high arched feet and the fit is quite tight and uncomfortable where the arch begins/starts to slope upwards. The leather is stiff around the ankle and somewhat painful as a result. I want to note that I'm still breaking these in, so it's unclear whether the shoe is a size too small (the 11 wasn't an option when I ordered), is not a good fit for my foot shape, or simply needs more time for the leather to loosen at the arch and ankle. I love the style and weather resistant features so I'm hoping they work out!

Have had for 6 months and despite wearing many times cannot get them to break in. They give blisters on my heels

I bought these boots in October of 2020 to replace a pair that I had, oddly enough, lost one of, and I was so excited about them when I got them. They took a bit to break in, but they were mostly good (though there were some irregularitiesmost notably, the shape of the toes are different). I've worn them a lot, taken good care of them, and they were fine, though I've gotten a lot of blisters from them even after over a year of wearing them. Recently, though, they started absorbing water and are not at all all-weather boots. This was just in normal water too as it had rained, so I wasn't stomping through puddles or anything. I wore them again on a rainy day and it happened again. I'm surprised and bummed because I don't like to buy new or leather products if I can avoid it, but since they typically last a long time (I was hoping they'd be "forever boots" like other people were saying) I sprung for it. I want to love them, and maybe I got a wonky pair, but in my experience these don't last.

These shoes look amazing and well made, but are the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever put on my feet. They are the right length, but impossibly narrow, even in the heel. The heel is also tilted inward and rubs badly. I wish these shoes were made wider.

These boots are gorgeous! Unfortunately, they're way too small for me to ever wear. I'm consistently a size 9, but I saw that other reviews noted these ran a bit small so I ordered a 9.5. When I tried on the boots, my foot barely fit into them! They were just long enough, but almost unbelievably narrow and horribly uncomfortable. Even if I sized up, I'm not sure the issue with width would be able to be fixed. They're beautiful, but I'll sadly have to return them.

I was super excited when I received my first pair of boots, only to find that there were small but significant defect in the stitching, heel and rubber sole. Customer service was great and shipping me a replaced once I'd mailed mine back - they even rushed it so I'd have the boots in time for a trip upstate. Unfortunately, these new boots also have a defect in the stitching and an actual with (what looks like) a nail or splinter of wood sticking out from the rubber. Maybe these things wouldn't bother everyone--and I really like the look--but I expect new shoes to be defect-free. I would exchange them again, but I'm not confident that a replacement would be any better, given my experience with these two pairs. This is why I tend to hesitate before shopping a new brand without a brick and mortar.

The break-in period took a very long time, which was frustrating. These boots tore up the back of my heels and ankle bones. Also, the dye rubbed off on my socks. The footbed offers average comfort, at best. I am disappointed in these boots and do not recommend them.

I love the way these boots look and was so excited to get them. but oh man, were they painful. They were way too narrow and I dont have an abnormally wide foot. The heel was way too tight too, to the point I couldnt even wear to try to stretch them out Bc it hurt so bad. the length was fine though, my toes did not touch the end of the shoe. Hopefully I just got a lemon pair and they dont fit this way for everyone bc they are beautiful shoes!

I normally have 8.5 in boots and ordered these in 8.5. I have narrow feet that are a little wider around the base of my toes. Unfortunately these boots are already tight around the base of my toes even when just walking around the apartement, and I easily make 8miles by foot in a single day.

I want to love these, but despite lots of breaking in around the house, they rub relentlessly on one of my ankles (even with thick socks) and give me blisters when I walk outside in them. I have pretty average sized feet and bought a half size up. They look beautiful but unfortunately arent functional for me. Im planning to buy extra padding for the ankles, but I dont think I should need to do that when investing in a pair of good boots.

Really wanted to love these however didn't work for me at all. The instep part is way too tight and breaking in is almost impossible. Lengthwise, im always 8.5/9 and ordered 9. This style claimed to run tts however it was very tight. Shaft height did not work for my 5'9' frame as well....this is my first time ordering from Nisolo unfortunately not a very good experience overall. Will definitely think twice before ordering again.

Ordered the brandy color. Beautiful boots but not for people with high insteps. Way too tight on that part and I dont think I will ever break these in. Of note it is tight length wise as well and Im a size 8.5/9, ordered 9. Im never a size 10 and this style claimed to run tts. Im 59 and still find the shaft too high for my like. Returned these immediately, refund is taking a bit too long.... not a good experience as a first time customer!

I wear a size 9.5 in Nisolo shoes. My Dari boots fit perfectly but these Amalia boots are tight width wise. They also have a very strong smell and look a little worn towards the upper part of the shoe. I am quite disappointed as I intended to wear these to my trip to NYC. Due to the tightness and smell I was unable to take them with me. I will have to return these.

I bought the dark green suade pair, but was unable to find the listing for those. Less than a year of owning these shoes, and they are already falling apart. To be fair, I wear them almost everyday. On the left boot, back of the upper boot where the heel is reinforced, is separating and crumbling. On the right boot, the top folded edge that goes around my ankle has come apart; but not at the seem - the actual leather!! On both boots, the soles are coming apart; the glue is no longer holding it together. Also, the welt on the boot is fake, thats just a beauty ring. Only glue holds the sole together. The good about these shoes, after break in, they are the most comfortable pair of shoes that I own. Was hoping they would last years, not months.

Bought this for my wife as a Xmas present. She returned them. Tough to break them in. Would had taken weeks before they felt comfortable to wear. I would recommend to purchase the leather shoes as the alternative option.

I love the quality of these boots, however, I walk every day for at least an hour and was hoping to have a good all around boot for durability, protection from the elements as well as comfortable. I have been wearing these for several weeks now and still have much pain in walking, they are not yet broken in and the heel is already wearing down. They have been good on snow though, because in Chicago area we have already have two snows this year. It would be nice to get a boot that can still be broken in. I cant return them at this point and hated that I spent all that money.
