I was given this water bottle to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My first thought upon receiving it was how heavy it was! So heavy, in fact, that I chose not to carry it around all day with me at work, but left it in my vehicle instead. I live in central FL and it gets HOT, even more so inside a car parked for 6 hours, but when I lifted my cup at lunchtime, it still has ice inside! I was HIGHLY impressed by that. But...when I went to take a drink, the straw did not allow me to take a full drink. It kept breaking it off into slurps. I tried repositioning the straw multiple ways, but continued having issues. The other problem I had with this, even with the straw attached, it did not reach the bottom of the cup! If they could fix these issues, this cup would be amazing! I've continued to use it thermos style to keep my ice water cold, but have not been drinking from it because of these issues. The sides of the cup are leak-proof, but the straw area is not, if bumped. Overall, it's a great quality cup with a cheap straw.

I carry a water bottle with me wherever I go, so I was thrilled to be given the Iceflow Flip Straw Tumbler to try as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. If not for a frustrating issue with the straw, it would have easily become my new go-to. This water bottle has many thoughtful features: The handle is wide (you can grab it with your whole fist), which makes it easier to carry than most water bottles, and the slightly tapered bottom allows it to fit easily into car cup holders (a must-have feature for me). The tumbler cup itself has a smooth metal lip, so it can function well as an open cup without it looking like you are drinking from a lid-less water bottle. I also love the uniqueness of the bright chartreuse color. The metal insulation keeps my drinks cold throughout the day (both during inside and outside use), though it did make the water bottle heavy to carry around for daily use compared to a plastic water bottle. I love drinking out of straw cups, but my kids usually tip them over and the contents spills. The straw mouthpiece on this water bottle flips down to nestle inside the lid, allowing me to use a straw cup without worry of spilling liquid. This would have been a game changer for me, but, unfortunately, there is a design issue with the straw that was very frustrating. The detachable plastic straw must not attach to the lid correctly, so a lot of air comes through the straw when you take a drink. Rather than getting a full swig of water, it makes a loud sucking sound when drinking, and you pull in about half water and half air. This happened to me when I first used the water bottle, and readjusting the straw did the trick and stopped the problem. I enjoyed using the water bottle without issue for a couple of days, and then the straw issue reappeared. Since then, I have not been able to get the straw to work without it sucking in too much air despite multiple attempts by both me and my husband. This water bottle is close to being amazing, but the inconsistencies with the straw unfortunately make it unreliable.

The Tumbler looks sleek but is also sturdy and heavy duty so it can withstand being tossed around during hikes/sports and the every day bustle of life. It is easy to clean because the opening is wide enough to fit my hand and a regular straw brush fits easily into the straw and spout. The straw also easily detaches for cleaning and is easy to put back. The tumbler is the perfect size for my refrigerator water dispenser, so it is convenient to fill. The spout snaps into place and angles out for you to easily drink from, but you have to remember to close the spout when done drinking or else the lid will leak. The tumbler does keep water cold as promised, since the water was still cold in the morning after I filled the tumbler with cold water and left it out overnight. Drinking water from the straw, however, is a deal breaker for me- the straw or spout sucks up air with the water so it's super loud and obnoxious. I don't know if it's a faulty model but it makes it difficult to drink through the straw. Because the straw is so loud, I would rather remove the lid completely and drink directly from the tumbler, but this is also less convenient. Overall, I think it is a decent Tumbler if you don't mind the straw issue, but the straw is a major design flaw. Huge thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this straw tumbler to try out.

What did you think about this water bottle? Did you like its design and style?
This is the sturdiest water bottle I've ever seen. It feels very heavy and robust and I think it could definitely take a beating. It does not feel cheap at all and seems like it would be a great outdoors product. The slight texture of the colored area on the bottle and the sturdy handle make it possible to unscrew the lid and open the bottle even with wet hands, which is really nice. I love that some of the plastic was recovered and recycled from oceans and that there is a lifetime warranty on the bottle. That tells me that Stanley really makes a quality product and stands behind their work.
One minor flaw that I think they could easily fix would be to use a different type of sticker for the label on the bottom. It did not come off cleanly when I washed it and now has some sticky residue left.
My other complaints with this bottle are that it is heavy, and it only fits in one of the cup holders in my car. When it's full it weighs at least 2 pounds, 5 ounces, which seems really heavy compared to my plastic bottle that holds even more water. The cup holder issue is common with many water bottles. I'm grateful it fits in one of them, but would appreciate a slightly smaller footprint so I could fit it in more cup holders.
As far as design and style, I do like the design. It is simple and sophisticated looking and appears very well made. I was not a fan of the "aloe" color scheme, but there are other color options available that I think are more attractive. My husband thought it was nice though, so I suspect he will "borrow" this bottle from me in the near future.
Did this keep your drinks cold? For how long?
Yes, this water bottle did a good job of keeping my water cold. Since it's only 20 oz., I generally drank it all before it really had a chance to sit for a long time. But I took it on a hike and it kept my water cool for over an hour in 90 degree F weather.
Was this water bottle easy to drink from? Was it leak-proof?
Initially, the bottle was not easy to open. The flip top was pretty difficult to open when I first received the bottle and needed a little breaking in. My five year old was not able to do it, so I would not recommend this bottle for small kids. Once I got it open, washed, and filled, I tried drinking out of it and I got mostly air with a little water. I've had this issue with other straw cups in the past, so I knew the straw was probably not attached properly. I ensured the straw was firmly seated and that the lid was secured, but the problem persisted. I had my husband check it out and try it and he couldn't get it to work either. He is an engineer and told me there is probably a leak around the straw valve area that is letting air in when I try and drink from the straw. I have a help ticket in to the Stanley company, but I have not heard back from them yet. I removed the straw entirely and just tip the bottle to drink from it and it works okay that way. I think having a more oval-shape to the drinking spout would make it easier to drink from as well.
As far as being leak-proof, when the drinking valve is closed, it is very leak-proof. When it is open, since I had to remove the straw, water pours out if it is tipped over or tipped too far when drinking. I don't know if that would be different if the straw was working properly or not.
What was your favorite feature of this water bottle?
I really like that it seems like it will last a long time. Other than the issue was the straw, this is a really sturdy bottle and I would feel comfortable taking it everywhere and not worrying about breaking it. I also love that it's dishwasher safe, because it's so convenient to be able to just throw it in the dishwasher and not have to wash lots of parts by hand. Overall, it seems like it would be a good product, but the fact that the straw doesn't work really caused me to doubt the quality of this water bottle.
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this water bottle to test and review.

I was really excited to try this bottle as a member of a Stellar Panel- unfortunately didn't live up to expectations. Kept things cold and nice size, but straw terrible (super loud "slurp") and not that great to drink from. Find I prefer taking the lid off to drink, bad straw.

Thanks to the Stellar Panel, I was able to test this new water bottle. Water stayed cold throughout the day, giving me incentive to keep hydrated. The downside is that the straw feature doesn't work well, so I had to take the top off to enjoy. When using the straw, it gave a bubbly sound, as if the seal wasn't strong. I tried multiple times to fix it, but alas, no go. I still really like the design otherwise and was happy to use at home without the top to keep my water ice cold.

My first thought was how great! It's the perfect size and I love the handle. Its super easy to carry and clean. Sadly it leaks terribly and unless the straw is straight inside the cup it gets way too much air in it. Making it hard to drink. It's just not exactly what I was hoping for.

Not sure if I received a defective tumbler to review from Stellar, but the straw doesn't work as intended. It takes in too much air while sipping, making me sound like a kid loudly slurping the last of my chocolate milk. Other than that, it has a durable design capable of withstanding the wrath of 3 boys under 5. Love that it doesn't leak while hypothetically. upside-down in my purse. The top handle is great for carrying, and it does an excellent job of keeping water cold throughout the day. I filled it with ice just to see how long it would stay cold. We're going on 10 hours now and there's still some that hasn't melted.

Love the style and convenience of these. Bought 4 for my kids and 2 are great, but 1 is incredibly hard to open the flip top for my 5 year old I had to trade her kids with her older sisters, and 1 of the others leaks all over my sons backpack anytime it gets tipped over. Kinda bummed for that price but still love them overall

I'm only rating this at 2 because of the shipping I dealt with. I have several Stanley's and absolutely love how long it keeps my water cold so when I was able to purchase the Iceflow for my girls who play football I had to get them. Unfortunately, I got them a month after purchasing ending of their season. They got to use it once and of course loved how it kept their water cold during practice. I should have purchased the 40oz for them.

I was excited to have something spill proof for my 5 year old. The straw is nearly impossible for her to open on her own. I consider this a waste and will look to other brands.

I ordered from this website but I feel like I got a knock off. I got the color Pool, and the Stanley logo is so faint it is barely legible. Disappointing.

Not spill proofyou can ask my bag and the papers in there. My drink wasn't cold after 5 hours or at the same temp it went in.

I like this water bottle but I feel like it Doesn't keep ice in if for too long yes I know that it only keeps it iced for 35 hours but when I put in ice before going outside the ice will melt in like 2-3 hours yes it will keep it iced and chilled but I feel like it didn't work as I imagined

Very cute, sturdy and keeps drinks cold, but I am so disheartened as it leaks. I gave it two chances and both times the cap unscrewed, spilling my daughter's milk inside my bag: ruining an epi pen, keys, iPad, etc. I screwed the cap on well and cannot understand how or why this happened. Will be going back to yeti. Do not recommend this travel mug for anyone on the go.

I bought this for my wife as part of her mothers day gift and since having it all it does I leak. I have checked the o ring seal, hand washed only and tightened it down myself but it leaks just below the hinges. She noticed it one morning during her workouts that it had gotten knocked over and all the water had leaked out of it. I would say the quality isn't bad but all its done is leak since the purchase.

I actually love these, however I have contacted Stanley multiple times because of a defective lid that we received. We haven't been able to use our Aloe color because the lid does not suck up any water. It is somehow blocked off. Our other two are great. Just wish I could get someone to respond about defective lid.

I like the size of the water bottle and that the water stays cold. It is really loud when I drink out of it though. There seems to be something wrong with the seal. I'm kind of disappointed with the loud noise. My larger one doesn't have the same problem.
