This is my 3rd pair of these boots. I love that they are light and give the perfect amount of ankle support. I hiked the narrows in Zion, redwoods and Grand Canyon in these. I wear them out and about too, like when I meet your step dad for coffee or when I'm out petting dogs and crying at the tidepools because of my hamster el chapo that's been missing for 3 months. They are great shoes. Def size up a half size. I'm 8.5 Womens and 9 fits great for me.

All around outdoor shoe. I shoot, and fish and work outdoors. Excellent traction, outstanding durability. I literally walk across oyster bars and through oyster mud flounder gigging. I've used Vans since skateboarding in the 80's to the present. These are by far the best Vans I've ever owned.

Another pair of awesome Vans. These ones are more of a boot, have a more rugged/rigid feel than my other Skate Hi MTE2's. I'm thinking I would be able to take these on any easy to moderate hiking trail. I usually wear an 11 - 11.5 in Nike / Vans, but I ordered the 11.5, which I'm glad I did. The left shoe needed a little breaking in towards the toe, but after breaking them in for a couple of miles they are super comfortable. The lining is soft and keeps your foot pretty warm, but not sweaty. Another thing to note is the tongue and ankle support is more pronounced on these compared to the SkateHi MTE's, which I like. Reminds me more of a hiking boot of course, but with Vans style!!

I'm a big fan of the ultra range exo MTE 1. I use these for my work life as an exterminator as well as daily life trucking around. I have the 2's that are great because of the gortex but are way too pointy for me as well as the tongue never stays in the boot due to its puffy design. You may like those better but I prefer the 1 by far. Just a great all-around lightweight boot.

Was looking for a hiking shoe with more ankle support after feeling the ache in my ankles after a 6.5 mile mountain hike in a pair of lower-end New Balance trail runners. I don’t hike up and downhill very often because I live in a flat area, so I didn’t want to invest a lot of money in expensive hiking boots that needed breaking in. Found these and read some reviews about them and decided to go for it. I wear a 9 in “street” shoes and prefer 9.5 in my athletic shoes, so I purchased a 9.5 and the fit was great with hiking socks. I’d say that they essentially fit true to size. I also have wide forefeet and these fit nicely without giving me blisters or irritation on my pinky toes. Broke them in fully on a 4.5 mile uphill hike with muddy/wet areas on the trail and they were the perfect cross of sneaker and boot. I didn’t lace them all the way up and they still provided substantial ankle support. Only complaint is that I have flat feet, and there wasn’t a ton of arch support, so I’ll probably add some insoles for my next long hike. Other than that, no complaints - they kept my feet safe from rocks, dry, and comfortable throughout the hike.

I want to love these because my ultra ranges are the most comfy shoes I've ever had, but like another pair of vans the inside top of the shoe above the knuckle area of my big toe is just constantly in pain. So much so that I have a deep red mark there when I take them off. It's not an issue of size or width as both are just fine. It's the material under the nose lace area. So frustrating!

I use these all winter long at over 10,000 feet. I'm still using the old version from 2 years ago but bought this pair because I loved my others so much. Between the two, these should last me forever! They keep my feet dry and are durable but are still comfortable and casual enough to wear to work indoors.

While they felt narrow at first, they gave in to the point of fitting perfectly. Hiked for ours on these and my feet and back felt great.

They are excellent shoes, they have very good slip resistance and comfort for my feet, I use them for hiking/trekking in Baja California as well as in California.

I have been using these for disc golf when weather is less than Ideal or the ground condition is wet. I have been using these for a few weeks now and wish I would have bought another pair. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever bought. There was no break-in needed. My feet stay dry and protected throughout the whole round. I would recommend going up a 1/2 size. Don't be afraid to buy.

Just came back from a family trip up to Yosemite, CA. I am really glad I bought my EXO Hi's. I was really debating on which color to get but ultimately decided on the brown. They look great! There was plenty of padding in the boot, I never felt cold, and more importantly, my feet stayed dry even through light rain and snow. They offer a ton of support and trust me, I'm a husky guy! My favorite new Hiking boots, great job Vans!

These are super comfortable and they look nice. The build quality is high and I think they'll last a long time. Maybe someday they'll make these in a dark green color too

I'm a golf course superintendent. I wear these everyday years round in every type of weather. New England weather is harsh but these hold up better than any other boot I've tried. They beat Keen boots hands down in every way. Super durable. The sole hasn't broken down or cracked from the wet dry cycle they go through everyday. Comfortable right out of the box. Buy them you can't go wrong.

This is my second pair of this shoe and I love them. Keeps my feet warm and can handle snow and dirt better than my other vans.

Taken straight from the example that auto-populated in the text box for review headline. Seriously, These are very comfortable. I've had issues with my feet and these are cushiony and allow me to be able to be on my feet longer than other similarly piercedshoes/boots. They keep my feet warm and that's great. They look great as well. I have all black, but will purchase this again, different color.

I've never had vans like this before and bought them because of the sale price. Really great shoe, comfortable and warm and I've worn them for 8 hours at a time. Great traction in the snow and water resistance too.
