My hat size is 6 7/8 - 7, and the size S/M was a bit large. Other reviewers mentioned the brim is floppier than it appears in the picture. Mine is super flimsy. I tried it on, and my friend laughed with a "nice, Jed Clampett" comment. (If you're young enough to not know that name, a quick internet search will bring Jed and his hat right up.) The band around it is elastic, and you can use if for rolling up/securing the hat for travel. I decided I'll keep the hat, not really sure why.

Love my new hat! I've had it less than two weeks and have worn it so much in that time. I have the black with tan trim. I agree with another reviewer that the brim is a bit floppier than the photo shows, so that is disappointing, but I love the colors so much that I'm going to wear it anyway. I don't think it can be stiffened at all, so keep that in mind if that's a deal breaker. The materials are quality and the contrast of the chestnut trim makes this a really great hat that will go with any look. I've received compliments on it (from the UPS guy at the store!) and from family.

Does not hold the shape of the brim. After one use it has floppy waves in it like a straw bucket hat.

It was really rumpled when it arrived but I got it wet and set it out to dry, and it straightened out. It is cute but SUPER floppy - so much that it impedes your vision. Guess that’s why it’s “packable”. Good face and head cover if you’re laying down on a chaise lounge but bad if you’re trying to walk and want to see where you’re going. I am going to try and figure out how to stiffen the brim up a bit so I can actually see when I’m wearing it.

It was too wrinkly and floppy. I thought it would have more structure.

Great summer hat. Thus will be perfect for overseas travel this summer.

It’s a little big but will work for me and I love that it’s packable.

I love this hat! It has a nice wide brim and it doesn’t crease when it gets piled on in the back of my car. Keeps the sun off of me and looks cute. I got the lighter color with the brown band, but I’d like to get all the other colors eventually.

I wore this hat throughout a trip to Italy. It kept it's shape pretty well but it does have a crease in the brim from packing it. It was cool and definitely kept my face and neck in the shade.

The hat fit my average sized head very well. The material is soft woven straw-like with a black decorative band that gives it more sophistication. I like the wide brim for protection from the sun for my hair and eyes especially. It's worth the price.

the hat itself is ok. it fit as expected. its a bit flimsy & came sort of bent and out of shape.

Really wanted to like this hat, but it was way too big.

I wanted to love this hat. Contrary to what other reviewers said, I didn't find it floppy at all. The brim was absolutely stiff enough to hold its shape. Where this hat failed was in sizing. I have a large head for a girl (lifelong So I Married an Axe Murderer quotes endured,) so I ordered a Large, my typical size. When it came, my head was swimming in it. When I turned my head from side to side, the head just rotated inside the hat...the hat didn't move because it wasn't nearly snug enough. Ok. So it was too big. I ordered the Small/Med thinking this would fix the problem. It came, labeled Sm/M, and it was the same thing...way too large in circumference. But now it was also too shallow, so it didn't come down as far on my head. The fit was VERY strange. I don't know if this hat is made for ET or if I just got two duds, but these are going back.
