Have always bout Solomon's. First backpacking trip wore new ones and was sold. My old ones (made in china) were great, but worn out. New ones (made in Vietnam) are too big. I have black toenails now. Also, rubber is coming off on side-these have been worn less than 15 times and have less than 50 miles on them. Shoelaces REALLY get stuck in the tabs

I am a long time wearer of Salomon and needed to replace my Comet 3D Lady GTX boots (finally!). The orhtolite insole in my usual size of 8.5 did not match the arch of my foot in these, so I needed to size down to an 8.0. Perfect fit! I do love that these feel like a generous amount of room in the toe box which I haven't found in any other brand. Good stability on uneven, frozen, snowy trails. No break-in period needed - these were comfortable out of the box.

Very good quality and delivered quickly. I find this boot is the warmest and driest for winter walking and have had several pairs before.

I bought these a few months ago and though they kept my feet warm and dry, the gore-tex on the top of the right foot poked into my foot so badly after a few wears that it left huge bruises. Cannot wear anymore.

I bought these for my wife, after explaining to her that Salomon's is what I wore while in the military. She wore them to her job at a "range" that she is an instructor at , and she fell I. Love with the comfort and quality

Love the way these boots feel. Very supportive, grippy soles, generous toe box. I did need to break them in a bit, but it didn't take long. Colors match the photos and I found these to be true to size. 10/10

I am very impressed with the Salomon fit for women's shoes lately. These have massive toe room which makes them very comfortable for me. I am a size 8 in most women's shoes but I knew I was 7.5 for this brand - there was so much toe room I was disappointed that perhaps they were too big when I first tried them on. I have since used them on multiple backcountry trips on all kinds of terrain, including incline and downhill, and my toes were very happy! I only have one pressure spot on the side of one foot, which I need to put moleskin over for every trip. That is a bit annoying - but you can't have it all! Overall, I would purchase these again as my go-to backpacking boots.

These are hands-down the comfiest shoe I own. They're lightweight, easy to put on/off, and didn't need any kind of breaking in. I will be in these every day this summer no doubt.

Bought in Oct 2022, loved them... super comfy, supportive, grippy and kept my feet dry through boggy areas.
However, now at the end of my second walking holiday (with occasional use at home) and the soles of my feet ache, the soles have worn and no longer feel cushioned and can feel rocks through the sole. Bit disappointed as have previously used salomons due to the comfort and durability.

I love these boots in every way except how they hurt an inch to 2 inches above my ankle. I don't know what it is...tieing the boots looser helps but doesn't fix the issue. The boots left a red abrasion after a mile hike on very uneven ground (didn't bruise though). I will say, they are waterproof! I walked through low flow rivers (about an inch to 2 inches in depth) without an issue!
As far as slipping goes, I've only slipped on a wet log so far (I caught myself). I have gone free bouldering and hiked through mud/rivers. Great experiences! I felt like I had great footholds even with the smooth granite rock.
8/10 would recommend with 2 points taken away for the upper ankle pain.
I got an 8.5 and I'm normally an 8. My heels aren't slipping at all but I still have room for warm socks.

I bought this same model about 9 years ago and they were the best boots I've ever had. I had to throw them away because they started smelling so bad from being wet all the time. This new version is harder to break it, and so far the crease across my toes is still quite sharp, and the top edge of the right boot is sharp and left an abrasion above my ankle after 1/2 a mile. I like how they are roomy enough for different sock thickness and the lug is awesome. If you buy these make sure you give yourself plenty of miles to break them in.

Boots are really comfortable, good for all terrains and provide great support but disappointed about the lack of waterproofness. My socks are wet after walking through a field with heavy dew.

The boots felt great in the shop. But when I started walking with them I got problems with my ankles. After just a short walk I've got small wounds on my ankles. Unfortunately the shop where I bought them, won't take them back. So that was just money out of the window.

I have been the wearer of Salomon walking boots and shoes for a number of years, so naturally I turned to the brand again when I had to replace my walking boots, however buying these boots was a big mistake.
The foam support around the ankle is extremely hard and stiff and has caused great pain to my ankle bones. I have persevered hoping that the boots will ease off a little, but unfortunately I cannot walk any distance at all, as the discomfort is too high.
Needless to say I am extremely disappointed that I have purchased an unwearable pair of boots.
