My son (age 9) was destroying every pair of sneakers he had. He went through several name brands and they were torn up within weeks. Cheap shoes were trash within days. I searched reviews specifically looking for shoes that can hold up to a kid who drags his feet on the asphalt and plays hard. He's had these a couple weeks now and so far they are holding up! I honestly think they're pretty ugly and they don't have laces so they are kind of like giant toddler shoes on a 4th grader. But luckily he doesn't care about style. I went ahead and bought the next size up too. These were a risk because they're so expensive, but if they last a few months they'll have paid for themselves given how often I was replacing his other shoes.

We had to return these. Overall I love Keen, they are the ONLY shoes that my kid doesn’t absolutely destroy within a month. But he has a wide foot, and certain styles just don’t work. This one didn’t. In addition to not being able to close the Velcro strap, he said he didn’t feel like he could wiggle his toes. Really wish Keen made wide sizes!

Son absolutely LOVES these! Great color and they're comfortable. He also loves the easy in and out velcro and waterproof protection. Wears these all the time. Definitely recommend!

I googled "most durable shoes for kids". Keen was recommended. My son is EXTREMELY hard on shoes. I was hoping we'd get a bit more use, but they lasted 3 months. He's worn a hole through the insole on one of the shoes. The other shoe the rubber toe is coming off. Like I said, he's so tough on shoes. I think these lasted about as long as his last pair, which were Adidas superstars (with the rubber toe). I personally think the shoes are ugly, but he says they're comfortable and he loves that they don't tie.
