I purchased this for winter camping so I bought an XL to ensure I could wear layers under it. I think it might run a little small, tho; but it is also very roomy thoughout the entire coat, particulary at the bottom. Very warm coat. The only thing I would change is to make it a 2-way zipper.

Love this jacket and the 3-in-1 functionality. It's perfect and the length is nice as it comes down to the thigh. Feels very substantial and well made. Like that it has zippers and buttons (instead of velcro, which you'll find on other North Face pieces and gets caught on everything/has ruined many a sweater and scarf). Wore the jacket on a 30 degree day with a sweatshirt under it and was cold. So, not sure it's going to be my go to for a New England winter, but I love it and am definitely keeping it!! Heading to Ireland this summer, and love that it comes apart for all of our different travel needs/changing weather. Outter shell is waterproof and has a nice weighted front hood. Would highly recommend and buy again in a heartbeat.

So far, really loving this parka. I was trying to avoid the bulkiness of the puffer everyone has, and this is exactly the fit I was looking for. I also love that it's not down-filled, as Im trying to avoid down/fur/leather as much as possible. My only complaint is that The North Face logo isnt sewn on as it used to be, its like a rubbery iron on. Im wondering how that will hold up over time. This parka wont keep you warm in the frozen tundra, but is exactly what I was looking for! The two parts are also very easy to take apart and combine as needed, and I think ill get a lot of use out of the individual components as well as both together. I was between sizes and ordered up, which I think was wise.

Warm, lightweight double layers easy to connect, good zippers, giant pockets that makes this woman swoon, long enough to keep my rear warm. They say you lose a lot of heat through your head if it isn't covered but I say it's actually the rear. I'm 5'7" and newly 190 lbs so I needed a jacket that my powerful body could fit into. I ordered an XL - it's a bit big on me but that works because I can wear a sweater underneath, tuck in my scarf, maybe sneak in snacks to the movie theatre, etc.

Took this coat to NYC in the January cold and it kept me warm. Love the versatility. I wear 12-14 and the XL fits great.

The fit is great but unfortunately the threading on the inside jacket are coming apart and half the Northface logo have been peeling off. For the price...this is unacceptable quality.

There are a couple of things I like about this coat. The inner thermoball liner is warm and comfortable. I like the longer length. The hood is a good size and the drawstring in the back helps you adjust the hood to your liking. A few things I do not like about this coat: 1: the sleeves are too short 2: the bottom flares out big like a skirt 3: the coat is slippery on the inside making it such that it rides up a lot when you raise your arms 4: the pockets are placed too high making it awkward to stick your hands in there when they get cold. The pockets are also not lined. The biggest issue I have is the flaring out of the bottom part of the rain coat. Makes me look like a Christmas tree: narrow on top, wide at the bottom. I am still going to keep the coat. It is light weight and should work fine for a trip to Iceland. Had I paid full price I would have sent it back in a heart beat.

Seems like a great coat. I just bought it though, in July 23 and I live in Boston, Ma, haven't worn yet. Sorry oh it fits. Size L, 5'4", 36b, waist 29, weight 145. Love it so far.

I really like the length and look of this parka. I can wear this as two separate jackets or together for dryness and warmth. I am 5'4 150lbs and I found the medium to be a comfortable fit. I have yet to wear this to colder climates but it is perfectly fine for southern california winters.

I use the parka for errands around town, or going for walks. It is completely windproof and water proof when wearing both jackets as one. The Thermoball jacket that zips inside is amazing on its own. It is warm and light weight. I bought a size medium and am 5'4" and 135 lbs. perfect.

Love this coat. It is very warm without adding bulk and is actually slimming. It repels water and comes with a hood. Perfect coat for walking the Highlands of Scotland in the winter!!!

Great for commuting on public transit and running errands on weekends. Love the color and longer length. Glad I sized up to account for slim (and flattering) fit but wish I could unzip from the bottom when seated. Surprised at how warm it has kept me especially when using both layers.

Winter coat for me, my issue with the coat is the tightness around the butt area. I am a woman with hips and butt. I had to purchase a large size but now the top part is to larger. I wish the designers would take the challenge and create a fit for women with my build.

This coat is great for pacific northwest winters (OR, WA). It has warmth and a waterproof shell. I can chose when I just need a puffer jacket or the combination of both or just the shell. Very practical coat.

I bought it to wear for 40-60 f degree weather and it works! I would say it leans towards the thinner side but it's still a great jacket! The two layers is good for people who want to just have the outer shell or inner shell.

I love the waterproof outer shell and the quilted jacket that easily zips in and out. I have long arms and appreciate the large size for this purpose. There is also room for my neck when zipping the jacket fully up (I dislike feeling as though I cannot move my head if the neck part is too tight). The whole set up is fairly lightweight also. Good wind resistance also I had a very old NorthFace jacket with a similar set up- it had a fleece jacket that zipped inside.
