I am currently wheelchair bound due to major foot surgery. I live in Rochester, NY, where at times ( usually) early mornings we've been as low as -4 degrees below zero, with a windchill that makes it feel like -14. Factor that into me having to be wheeled, with wind hitting all parts of my body in that chair.
I love this jacket not only because of its sharp, trendy, look; but also because it's not heavy, and bulky, but kept me warm on a day ( like mentioned above)! Even my husband noticed how comfortable I was after having complained about being colder in my down jacket.
To add to the above; This North Face ThermoBall coat is sustainable (which I love), thereby meaning it's vegan, and eco-friendly.
Thumbs up people

Love this jacket - stylish, vegan and eco-friendly without using down, but not compromising on warmth. I can wear just this light jacket in freezing temperatures and still stay warm. Highly recommend.

Good coat for the people in colder climate-hello Midwest. Nice looking enough to dress up or down. You can wear it to work, and then also on the weekend.

I bought this to replace an older version of the same coat. I have gotten lots of compliments on the new coat. It's good to about 30 degrees in Chicago.

I have searched and searched for a coat that was warm, but not puffy, and I think this is finally the winner! My only con would be that I wish it came in more colors and I don’t especially love the blue decal on the navy, but other than that, I do love it. It does run a bit small, so I sized up to a medium so I could fit sweaters and sweatshirts under it. I’m 5’3” and 125 lbs.

I had been eyeing this jacket for over a year but hesitated purchasing because of the price. I took advantage of a small sale and I'm so glad I did! This jacket is light, not puffy and bulky so I don't feel like the Micheline woman lol and it's really quite warm considering its density. A bonus is the cinchable waist. It's a small detail that adds style and shape to an otherwise marshmallow like vibe. I have a "warmest" LL Bean long puffer parka that I will still wear on exceptionally cold days where I'm out in the cold for extended periods of time. That being said, the ThermoBall Eco Parka can easily get me through 95% of winters in central Ohio. I purchased a Large and find it to be comfy with room for a sweater underneath and space for my broad shoulders. I do think it runs small as I would typically be a Medium. I do wish North Face carried petite sizes for proper proportions but the Large in the parka looks nice just the same. Would recommend this to others!

Lightweight but SO WARM. It works well for me during the transitional winter months in Chicago. The color is one that I can wear without looking out of line with latest trends - neutral but with a twist.

I first ordered this in a large, because I read a review that said to order up a size. It was swimming on me, so I returned it & ordered it in Medium, which fits like a dream. I've already worn it several times to ward off the chill from frosty Oregon weather.

Great jacket. It's warm in about 20 degree NJ winters. Fits great, it's a great length ( about 3" below my bottom) and flattering with the drawstring pulled, or not . Able to accommodate wearing bulky sweaters or a light long sleeve, just adjust string accordingly, and it always gives you a nice shape. I'm currently 5mo pregnant, and I'm 5'10" 198lbs. So I bought the xl when I usually buy a large, but I can tell I'll be able to wear it post pregnancy, because there's a lot of cord available to use on drawstring. So I'm happy!

I have a longer heavier coat for super cold weather. I bought a large and I have room for a sweater. I am 5'5" and weigh 175. Can wear a medium or large but this said slim fit. So Went with large. Patagonia coat is what I wanted but their arms are so tight. As is the coat in the body. I have other North face things like the vest and like the quality.

I am in love with this jacket.
I was worried it wouldn't be forgiving.
It for me perfectly!
Even though I'm a little fluffier this year.
The color is beautiful.
More green than blue.
Which was a pleasant surprise
My favorite color this season.
It's cozy, light weight perfect for a day out shopping or a walk.
Love it, can't wait to see how it holds up to a Maine winter.

I had this coat in a larger size, then lost weight and bought a new one. Happy with how the size small fits and subtle improvements North Face made to the coat. Chose navy instead of black because the North Face logo blends in. It is unattractive on the black coat - white iron-on decal located both on front and back!

Very satisfied with the purchase. Giving 4 stars bc it is not the warmest jacket. You need to wear a hoodie or sweater inside. I love the fit, lightweight and length of the jacket. I am 5'4 and 130lbs. Small size fits me perfectly with room for a sweater.

Product was comfortable good size keeps you warm great size. The only thing I didn't like the logo feels and looks cheap quality, the embroidering was a better option but this one didn't have that.

I walk many miles every week in the SF bay area where the temps can easily vary by 20 degrees within a matter of hours or a few miles, so I need a jacket that is warm enough against the fog and wind, but light enough to easily carry in my bag when it gets too hot. This jacket is noticeably warmer than my regular thermoball hoodie, which I attribute to the additional length. However, the zippers on this jacket are very cheap and much inferior to my other thermball and other TNF jackets I own/have owned. This jacket is also not even a little water resistant, as I discovered when walking out in a light rain recently. It was soaked through in a block, prompting me to turn around and go home to change jackets. I find that odd, as it seems like the same material as my other thermoballs, all of which have a decent water resistance. And finally, this jacket does NOT fit into its own pocket. In preparation for a long trip I tried packing it into itself, and it does not fit in any of the three pockets, nor does it seem made to do so, as not one of the pockets has a reversible zipper, i.e. one that could be used when turned inside out. That is very disappointing.
All in all, the jacket is cute, light, and warm enough for my climate, but not great for packing light where you want a single, multipurpose jacket that can be packed down into a tiny mass.

Great length. Lightweight, but very warm.
Wish the logo was embroidered instead or an iron on heat transfer.

I'm very disappointed that this jacket cost what it did and the NF logo is not embroidered on the jacket as is my other two jackets I have from NF. Makes the jacket look cheap.

Liked the jacket and fit. I was so disappointed that the North Face emblem is now a painted decal instead of embroidered. It really cheapened the look of a $250 jacket.

Nice lightweight coat, & love the extra coverage with the parka length. Disappointed that the TNF logo is printed on, not stitched like my older TNF jackets. Not only does it not look as nice, but if any of the letters peel off, it will be really obvious as it's right at chest level (and for the black jacket, it's contrast white lettering). Please consider going back to the stitched logo!

This "eco"parka thermoball is much thinner material than my previous thermoball. It feels cheap! This also has just an an iron on NorthFace logo that feels sticky. I Ike the old embroidered logo. I don't think this would be enough for Seattle winter this Christmas. Very, very disappointed.

The fit of this is awkward for me. The bottom half of the jacket flares out way too much. I am 5’4, 135 and I tried the medium and small. The bell shaped bottom is an issue in both sizes. Maybe you need more curves to pull this off?
I also think that the price is steep for the quality. It is well made, but IMO it should be more like 175-200 at most.

Loved everything about it except zipper was hard to catch in the tight spot to close. Sales person assured me this was normal with a double zip (can open the bottom while top os zipped) and aligning it perfectly before zipping helped. I wore this coat in very cold weather and SF Bay Area variable, not too cold weather, and it was very comfortable. Owned for 9 months and the zipper has completely broken, will no longer zip at all.

I really wanted to keep it But, I ended up returning it. It’s not warm enough for me to wear it with just a base layer in 30-40 f weather. I’m true size Small and if I layer a slim fit jacket or hoodie the shoulder area become too tight to be comfortable. Size up to medium would be too loose in the body. I really like the design though that defines the silhouette nicely with the adjustable waist that’s right in the middle of my waist.
