The review section in NB running shoes is always diluted by people who use the shoes for wearing to work or whatever(which there is nothing wrong with), but since the Fuel Cell line is targeted towards running performance i felt compelled to write a review. I overpronate just a teeny bit, not enough to justify a big clunky stability shoe, so i was very attracted to this relatively lightweight stability trainer. It's got just enough stiffness in the arch to keep your ankle from running over but runs like a tempo trainer. Don't be fooled by the low stack height, the fuel cell foam keeps your legs and feet feeling fresh with minimal ground feel and the thick rubber outsole helps with the shock absorption. I use this for 6-10 mile tempo runs when my legs are a little sore from long run days and it's perfect, highly recommend if you're looking for a sleeper shoe that not many people are talking about. I even did a 15 miler in these yesterday and they felt good the whole way. Only con is that the lacing can be a little funky at first, but i feel like every shoe is like that until you figure it out. I'm a 12.5 in all other shoes and got a 12 in these.

Some of the best shoes I've ever bought. Typically I have to search endlessly, return, by a different size etc. I liked how these looked in the pic, bought em, love em!

My feet are narrow, and I typically go half size up. I found the shoe to be particularly narrow and just a tad longer than I typically prefer. Half size up was about right for me. This is a different stroke for different folks sort of shoe. The foam is very very firm. It does not break in over time, it's just firm and not particularly compliant or bouncy. If you pronate, it's a decent enough lightweight trainer but I couldn't take them for distances over 8 miles without my feet and legs feeling beat up afterwards.

I slipped my foot into a very comfortable sneaker. I like the color white which looked very sleek on my foot even though it was a 2ex width.

Shoes are great for running, 5 miles daily. They help keep my feet safe from blisters and keep them soft and free from pain.

One of the best pair of running shoes, ever A perfect balance between soft cushioning and bouncy energy return. Light and sleek almost a minimal feel when you first put them on. Just enough support and structure, but not too much or too little of anything.

I've had them about two months now not sure about runs longer than 3 miles but they feel great for 3 and under on a treadmill or paved surface for sure as long as the surface you are running on has no lose material on it like gravel super light and comfortable shoe that keeps your feet cool my first pair of newbalence and honestly I'd buy another set if they continue to make this line of shoe although it seems they are moving to the "freshfoam" line

I've only owned one other pair of running shoes before. I quickly found they've were cheaply made and uncomfortable. The FuelCell Prism v2 are neither. A perfect fit and extremely comfortable to wear and move in. I love 'em!!

Doing a a few runs and they felt like being on a cloud. The sneakers are comfortable with an extra step bounce to them. I love this pair. Way to go New Balance :)

Super cozy and awesome for running. PS-The toebox is mesh and you'll be able to see the color of your socks. Didn't know until I received them

I discovered NB FuelCell's Prism's a couple of years ago and have loved them as I usually run 25-30/week. I loved the comfort and energy transfer from the heel to the toe. The new model is still comfortable, but some of the softness and smoothness of the energy transfer has been changed from the previous generation. Will I buy another pair? Absolutely, but this is an instance where tinkering with the shoe ended with the product going in the wrong direction.

I ordered a pair cause they had wides available. They are beautiful shoes and great for stability, but they just weren't for me so I had to return them. The uppers fit similar to the Rebel V3's but the stability posts in these would have caused me serious pain. If you want an awesome, stable, good fitting shoe-this is a great choice!

But with that being said, these shoes need to be made in a wider size 2w just doesn't make the grade, if they were 4w they would slip on easier and the tongue wouldn't bunch up to prevent a more welcomed reception of the foot to the shoe. Either a wider shoe or you'll need to think about going at least one size longer and then have extra playroom for your toes.

Enjoyed the bounce of the Fuel Cell midsole in Prism V1, was hoping the v2 would have some of this cushion and bounce but it felt very flat and rigid to me on the run. Very comfortable initial impression on foot but felt clunky and no cushion running or walking. Very disappointed and returned the shoes. Hoping that Prism V3 strikes a middle ground between too mushy and too flat and has some energy return when running. I run in Vongo v5 which is a little too heavy and stiff but still a great fit and Prism V1 which has a nice bounce, feels light and easy to run in, if just slightly wobbly. NB , a bouncy stable Prism V3 , please.

These are definitely a serious letdown from V1. They are clunky, heavy and less flexible than the previous version

I've logged over 50 miles in these shoes hoping I would get accustomed to them but they are the most uncomfortable running shoes I have ever worn- they are clunky, lacks cushion, lacks stability, and the drop is larger than advertised. I was a huge fan of the 1400's which was a thinner/lighter shoe but still had more cushion than these. Not sure why NB would discontinue a mainstay like the 1400's if they weren't going to replace it with something better. Looks like the ppl designing running shoes at NB aren't runners themselves.
