First, I'll note that all of the previous five reviews are from "non-runners" that are not reviewing the shoe from a run training point of view, but a casual walking or work shoe. This review comes from a runner's perspective that is averaging over 40 mph consistently over many years, and who has been training in these shoes since the first edition. This 3rd edition, like previous editions is a good neutral (feeling) training shoe. All versions have had a good balance between neutral feel, cushion, and flexibility, so nothing has changed and that's always a relief when a new version of your go-to training shoe comes out. With the 1st and 2nd editions, durability was never a concern. The shoes held up and met reasonable expectations for someone training over 40 miles per week consistently. However... durability has dropped significantly with the 3rd edition, which is why I'm giving a two star rating. This version hasn't hit 175 miles yet and the upper is already falling apart with holes forming in numerous locations around the upper on both sides of the shoes. Furthermore, the base platform or bottom of this version is also showing signs of significantly accelerated wear when compared to pervious versions. Again, at less than 175 miles, this shoe resembles a shoe that is closer to the 300 to 350 mile use range. This is a universal failure of durability for a shoe that claims to be for consistent run training, yet cannot hold up to even 200 miles! Very discouraging.

Finally a pair I can wear right away without getting blisters. These are lightweight and the pink is bright and fun. I think white laces would have been better, they come with dark gray. The color combo is ok with the dark gray and hot pink. Sometimes new balance overdoes the colors and designs, this is one of the simple designs that doesn't scream new balance brand. They're a bit wider than my other nb shoes but it's comfortable wide not overly wide. Overall, great shoe.

The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because the insole was very thin. Once I put a decent insole in such as ?SPENCO® POLYSORB® CROSS TRAINER it was extremely comfortable, light weight, toe box roomie, and had the right cushion.

I liked the looks of the shoe but was just a little to large in the heel/ankle. Had to return them.

Love the color. I like shoes that are lightweight and not too high of a stack height - I'm a clutz so I feel like I will roll an ankle in some shoes- but these are perfect. I usually take a size 7.5 in regular shoes but a size 8 in these. The width is great - I don't have wide or narrow feet- and there's good toe box room. Liked them so much I bought them in a different color!

These fit well, have super-comfortable, cushioning soles, and last a long time. I've finally worn out the tread on my previous pair and was so happy to be able to get a replacement pair.

I've had many pairs of New Balance shoes, all of which I've been happy with. These are the most comfortable yet. I usually get men's size E or EE as my feet are very wide but the women's wide were fine this time. I don't run any more but walk regularly - these shoes practically walk for me!

I love the look of these shoes. I am in-between a women's 9 and 9.5 I typically wear a 9.5 but these ran a bit large. I initially ordered the 9.5 but returned and got the 9. The size 9 fit perfect.

I know that buying a shoe for its color probably isn't the best thing to do, but the FuelCell Propel is pink and super comfortable. I only have about 15 miles on them so far, but know they will be great for the two 60 mile walks coming up this fall.

After years of wearing Vans for style and to accommodate my wide feet, I started working a new job with lots of walking, and the lack of support became painful. My cousin recommended buying the best arch support money could buy in shoes, so I spent lots of time researching and landed on these from old faithful New Balance. I was personally not looking forward to a running style, but the colors are great (night tide- blue/black with hot pink accents on the soles), and these feel like walking on mattresses. They actually make me want to walk and feel awesome right out of the box. I’ve never had shoes like this. I got lucky getting the last pair in this color, in what I hoped was my size, 10.5 wide, alongside a pair of the Fuelcell RMX in a men’s size 9, fully expecting to return one pair if only one fit. If the RMX feel and look this good, I’m keeping both. I am not at all surprised that these were sold out in so many sizes. Cannot recommend highly enough and look forward to no longer being in pain walking. I hope New Balance will keep producing these just like they are, maybe in even more color choices. Definitely plan to buy more when the time comes to replace these. Also, I think this is the first review I’ve ever written, and that’s for a reason: I’m borderline obsessed and hope other people will find these, too. So comfortable and look so nice.

My daughter adores these in hot pink. We've done 3 pairs, all different sizes as she grows. She's very active and tough on tennis shoes. These take alot of sports activities all day long.

I ran in the v2 and I am thrilled with the v3! Definitely a much better fit and feel overall. Felt like I was flying. First run back post-partum, and I am highly impressed. I will definitely need another pair.
