EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. These shoes have changed my life. I use them for hiking, trail running, and beach combing. Even when navigating rocks or tree roots on the trail, they give my foot a super solid place to land. Living in the Pacific Northwest, the waterproofing helps a lot. In between my house and my trail run, there are a few blocks of sidewalk. I walk those because these feel a bit heavy on my legs for road running. However as soon as I hit the trail these are a dream. Love them, makes being outdoor and active a true pleasure. Not sure I've had such comfortable shoes before.

These sneakers are really comfortable, I know they are technically for trail running but I use them to walk a few miles to and from work daily and these are the best.

I am very happy with this trial sneaker, though I did return it for a different colorway. I think the sneaker feels lightweight for a sneaker with good cushioning and a quality vibram tread with the goretex. It is only my second New Balance shoe so far. I can't wait to get out on the trail with the Hierro.

I returned these because they are too narrow in the toe box despite being a wide width. NB has changed the shape of their shoes and they no longer fit my wide foot. They taper too much in the toe and my feet much squarer. I ordered two different paurs of hiking shoes and returned both of them.

These shoes didn't work for me, although they were suppose to be wide, they felt narrow

So Not Awesome ,,,,,, I mean, Way too small. Not impressed altogether. Added on unnecessary features. What an expense for the overrated selling points of this very questionable shoe.

I ordered a 6.5 as all of my NB shoes, including some trial shoes, are 6.5, but my toes touched the end of these. Really to bad, as they seem like they would be great shoes. The size 7 is sold out, so I'll just return these and continue my hunt!

Toes overlap in the toe box. Painful and immediate blisters. For years I've worn New Balance as my trail running shoes and have always been a size 9. This shoe design doesn't fit my toes at the front of the shoe comfortably (squished left to right). I tested on a hike, walk, and run and had toe cramps and blisters almost immediately on the right and left sides of my foot.

I got women in wide and the toe box is for someone that has breadsticks for toes. Yeah, no. That toe box would take my nails off!

I already had the regular fresh foam and got these for rainy days and love them. Very cushiony, great uneven terrain support and waterproof. Used them on pavement for work (im a mail carrier) and for hiking on muddy and rocky trails and both were great. Highly recommend!

These shoes are amazing! Comfortable... I have siatica with a numb foot and the fresh foam in these shoes make them the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned! I use them for hiking and bike riding, they keep your feet warm and dry! I would recommend these shoes to anyone!

I think will be a bit too narrow even when I go up half size. I ordered wide and a bit too narrow. Fits 1/2 size smaller than several other NB I have. Great looking in the dark gray. I ordered to wear for travel in towns and wet weather, not on trails. The heel extension looked weird with long jeans and athletic pants so am not exchanging for maybe better size. I loved the sturdiness and support and will stick to a NB hiking shoe. Hope Z can come up with another waterproof blackish one soon so I can try it!

I work outdoors standing on my feet 8-12 hours a day, mostly on gravel lots, and needed comfortable shoes that could withstand the elements. I am beyond ecstatic with this purchase as these shoes have helped alleviate my sore, tired, and achy feet. I can really tell the difference in my stability walking on rocky terrain. These shoes are super comfortable, waterproof, aesthetically pleasing, lightweight, TTS, and absolutely worth the price. I would strongly recommend the Hierro!

I broke my toe right before leaving on a hiking trip through Europe. I already have wide feet and needed something that would fit over my swollen foot but not be too big on my other foot. These shoes were perfect! They were comfortable, supportive, and I love the pink and green colors. The fact that they were waterproof a huge bonus.

Love these! Wanted a good waterproof walking shoe for traveling. The Goretex makes them waterproof, lightweight and more flexible. They are super comfortable.
The only thing I don’t like is the duck fin extensions on the heels. What are they for? They look weird and catch on stairs.

I purchased these primarily for for urban use as I live in Seattle and do quite a bit of walking in the rain. These are the only water proof shoes I have tried that are truly waterproof. After wasting $90 on Blondos "water proof" shoes that soaked my socks almost immediately I was excited to see an ad for New Balance which is my favorite sneaker brand. These did not disappoint. They're very comfortable and I can finally walk in the rain and still have dry socks. I typically wear an 8 in New Balance and ordered an 8 and they fit perfectly.

I'm on my feet all day and outside most of the time. These shoes help up great in the rain and are incredibly comfortable! The materials are premium and feel like they'll last a long time. My feet aren't sore at the end of the day and their wide size is perfect for my feet. So hard to find truly wide size shoes that are waterproof and comfortable, this ticked off all the boxes!
