The length is a half size shorter than previous New Balance shoes. My old 840V4's are a half size longer.

FINALLY! I had to return the Gravity Defyer 12 WW, not because of quality or design, but because of a poor fit. Finding shoes wide enough for my 12 boat oar feet is always tough, but when I saw these New Balance available in a 4W, I ordered right away. All I am reviewing is the fit and comfort as I have not road tested these shoes yet. Props to Zappos for their generous return policy. I wore the Mighty Walks for a month! They wore a blister in my heel that was the size of a silver dollar. I tried, but had to give up and was thrilled when Zappos took them back with a full refund, no question, no hassle, not cost to me. Again, Applause. If you have wide feet, the 4W is what you need. They are not too wide at all and the 12 fits true as well. These shoes are nice looking, and we shall see how they hold up for comfort and support on the pavement.

I found these shoes to be 1/2 size larger than the 860 v11. Sized down and they fit great. I have a narrow foot an have worn NB forever . Thanks to NB and Zappos for supporting narrow foot nation !! So very few makers do .

Love the 860v12. Fit true to size. Shoe hugged mid foot and heel, with comfortable room in the toe box. Having a narrow foot makes it difficult to find shoes that fit properly, but that isn’t an issue with New Balance. Have purchased 2 pairs of 860v11 and now 860v12 in size 12N and they are perfect!! Great support and comfort for my daily 3 mile walks. Highly recommend.

I really like these shoes and wanted to keep them, but they cause overpronation (they make my feet to roll in). The shoe is very well made, fits true to size and width (14 Extra Wide), but something about the positioning of the arch support in this model makes my feet overpronate. If you've had issues with overpronation as well, I'd pass on these shoes or at least be aware that it might be an issue and they might not work out for you. For shoes that DO work for me, I've found the Men's New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080 V12 in 14 X-Wide (4E) are the perfect recovery shoe. I'm also sticking with the Men's Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22 14 X-Wide (4E)... it literally is my Go To Support shoe and my daily driver. If you read this and these other models strike a chord with you, definitely check them out as alternatives to the 860. I've been wearing Brooks Adrenaline since the GTS 21 after previously wearing the Ghost; I no longer wear the Ghost after discovering the better support of the Adrenaline and more cushion at the forefoot. The New Balance 1080s will also be staying in rotation from here on out — and I love that they have more color options! I'm no longer stuck wearing only White/Grey/Black in Brooks Extra Wide models.

Nice shoe, very light and supportive but not much arch support.

I have had a lot of trouble with fitting shoes because of my foot issues (bunions, arthritis, & pronation. I need a wide ball of the foot area, narrower heel, arch support and pronation correction). As soon as I put these on I practically jumped for joy! I have seen reviews on YouTube that are very informative and state they are also a real work horse and last very well. THANK YOU NEW BALANCE.

I have wide feet, and even a “wide” width is not wide enough. I was happy with the fit of these shoes. Extra wide was just right. I always put in my own arch supports, so I can’t comment on the support of the shoe.

Nice shoe but ankle support could be better

Shoes fit great anf wide enougj fpr wide feet. Not the best arch support. The stitching on the lower part of the sides hurts the sides of little toes. Otherwise I give them a 10 for looks. A 7 for overall fit.

The shoes are fine. I would have preferred just a bit more cushioning like the v12 1080, but the construction still seems sound and reasonably comfortable.

Needed to get 1/2 size larger.

Comfortable fit. Color is compatible with khakis and/or shorts. It is what I expected from NB and the selection and service from Zappos was exceptional

Just as other New balance shoes they decreased the width for their wide models and they have no arch support. I am going back to ASICS.

I ordered size 10.5 and was shipped size 11.5. I had the return processed and back at the UPS store within 60mins of the shoes arriving at my house so at least the return process worked well.

These are pretty bulky. It feels like they put the support for the arch in the heel so it is very uncomfortable if you are looking for a shoe that you don't need to purchase additional arch support.

Extremely comfortable. My husband did over 14,000 steps in a day and his feet still felt good. Great for those with wide feet. My husband loves them and wants to get others in different colors.
