Paradigm 6 Womens had good cushion, great style and color but was just a tad short.

I like that it has support but is cushiony inside. I have a sprained Deltoid ligament, and I like the narrow heel and wide toebox. It is a little short, but the half size up slipped on my heel.

I love the paradigm, but these seem to hurt my feet after standing for a long time, unlike previous versions. I don't know what has changed.

I have a normal instep and width and wear 6.5. I wore them all day out of the box to break them in and the cushion is excellent. The only issues I have are that the tongue seems not wide enough and should wrap the foot a tiny bit more. I can see my white sock through the eyelet at the top of the tongue nearest the shoe opening. I don't have a wide foot so I think this could be improved. It won't keep me from wearing them but I would rate them a 5+ star rating if this were fixed!

I’m mostly a size 9.5 in athletic shoes, 9 in other shoes. I have two other pairs of Altra in 9.5 that fit perfectly. I ordered the 10s in this shoe based on other reviews and I’m glad I did. The 10s fit, but are still a bit shorter than my other Altra 9.5s. The laces are a bit short and the heel is a bit looser. I buy these for the fabulous toe room. I use them for walking. I wanted a little more cushion and these deliver that.

I love Altra shoes for the feature of both the zero drop heal toe differential and the wide toe box that allows my toes to grab the ground as I walk. However, I bought these specific shoes hoping to solve a major issue I am experiencing after ankle reconstruction surgery. My foot ( am an amputee) supinates (roles to the outside) and 99% of shoes seem to be designed to push people's feet outward to correct for pronation. So, I was thrilled to see that Alrta created shoes with the guiderail system. While this shoe had a great lateral guiderail on the outside, the fact that they had a similarly if not stronger guiderain on the inside negated the benefit of the design for my issue. While the shoes looked and felt great, it was clear that I had to return them as they would only continue to exacerbate my initial problem. Thankfully, I was able to go to a local store and found that the Altra Olympus trail runners were in fact designed in a way that corrects the supination issue while being fabulously comfortable.

I love the fit and the support and the comfort of the Paradigm 6. I've worn Paradigm before but the 6 is much better. My only wish would be that the front of the show had a bit more cushion. Nonetheless, I love this shoe.

I would recommend ordering a half size to a full size larger, depending on your desired level of space. I usually wear a 10.5 but this one was much too small. I'm returning and ordering a half size larger to give this shoe another chance because I adore it.

Love these shoes, but super annoyed that less than 30 days after I bought them, and after I disposed of the return papers, they show up on Woot for half the price!

I have the Escalante Racer and Provision, both work fit wise for my wide toebox and large toe. The Paradigm was overall comfortable BUT not wide enough for my toe area.

For the price point you could do better. I'm an RN, I've worn everything from Hooka, On-Cloud & Danskos. I bought these hoping for better comfort. They are comfy, but too noisy & stain easily!

I have RA in my feet and toes and even thought I ordered ride I'm the toe wasn't wide enough as even after walking a short distance my feet started hurting and burning. Since closed yor constricts my feet the toe had to be extra wide so as not to constrict my toes.

These shoes were very comfortable. My problem was with the look of the shoe, the front of the shoe is oddly shaped and I felt quite ugly. Not the least bit attractive. Take a look at the picture from above and you will see what I mean.
I think the shape is reasonable for a foot shape but couldn’t bring myself to keep them.

Running 15-20 mi/week, mix of dirt and pavement. Replacement for Altras purchased two months prior, rec'd quickly but fit was weird and not time to return before race. Instep very tight, narrow fit. Moderately stable for max cushion shoe, love the padded tongue (as opposed to razor tongue in several models). I miss the traditional high volume, wide toe box fit I came to love from Altra.

I've been buying Altra shoes for a number of years now. I have Morton's neuromas in both feet and having the wider toe box with more generous fabric on the toe with Altra shoes made running not just possible, but pain free. I had been running in the Provision but decided to try the Paradigm for the increased cushion. Within 2 miles of my first run, my toes were burning. I tried a second run in them and couldn't finish without limping. I'm returning them and going back to the Provision. I hope that as newer models get rolled out, the room for toes doesn't keep going down. It would be fantastic to have a support shoe with the original foot shape.

Love all the space for my toes!!! Keep it up. Minus 1 star for no arch support. Minus a half star for the ugly orange tab on the front. I wear these as an everyday shoe and really wanted plain black. Not every sneaker needs unnecessary pops of color.

I work in a hospital and on my feet a fair amount of the day your previous versions I would give five stars too the Paradigm 6 within two hours my outer toes are going numb what happened to the wide toes. Thats why I buy your shoes and these are not as soft on the insoles any longer. Your 4.5 were great other than the sole wearing out quickly. the Paradigm 5 were very good the 6 my second day wearing them and its a big miss. I buy your brand so I do not feel like I am buying the narrowness of dress shoes. sorry if the 6.5 or 7 does not correct this you have lost me as a customer. I will ber looking for older versions of the Paradigm.

My 4.5 Paradigms wore out in the heels almost immediately. Had to redo the lacing on them for them to be wide enough in the front of the shoe. Ordered a pair of Paradigm 6 women's and boy are they expensive. Hoping that they work better than the 4.5's. The original Paradigms I had were the standard width. They were wonderful. I wore them out of the store with no concerns, but the heel wore out quickly. You quit offering the standard width some time ago. Why do you advertise a wide toe box and at the same time narrow the footbed? My left shoe has a hole where the big toe is as well as my little toe. It would seem when a person is only walking that they would last longer than if you were running in them. I hope when I get the the Paradigm 6's they work. These are the only shoes I can find that work for my feet. I wish they weren't so expensive and were more durable. I miss the solid black shoe. I ordered the black but am not very happy about the orange and the logo on it. Some of us just want durable shoes that don't cost a fortune and are just plain as we wear them most of the time.

I bought first pair 2 years ago. I loved them. This time around Altra seemed to change the fit a bit. I ordered my usual size and it was 1/2 size too small. Problem is when you return them it takes 3 weeks to get the right size!!!
Disappointed,

I like the amount of cushioning of this shoe at first. I needed a zero drop shoe to allow a stress fracture in my sesamoid bone to heal. I only wear these shoes for around town and at work, no running at all and minimal walking in them. After a few weeks the outer edge of my foot hurts a lot. If I wear these shoes longer than an hour or two the edge of my foot hurts for the rest of the day. So now I have two parts of my foot that hurts. I think the mid foot area is too narrow and I usually have a narrower foot and shoes are too wide so I don’t know what to think about these Altras, but my foot feels almost like there is too much pressure on the side of my foot so I really can’t wear them. So disappointing because I paid $$$ for them.

The arch support was in the wrong place. It was hitting my heal. I had to order a size 12 (I am a 10 1/2 and usually wear an 11) to get the shoe to fit otherwise. The black band around the top hit on the top of my toe in an 11 but was in the right spot for a 12. Very disappointed as I thought this was THE shoe for me. Toes box is great for someone who needs a wide toe box. Just wish the arch was positioned correctly.

The Paradigm 6 looks terrific. However, I had to send mine back because the cushioning is not at all plush. If you can return to truly a plush cushion, you will earn back my business.

I loved these shoes initially and they fit my feet well, however, after a few months of moderate wear, the soles detached and cannot be fixed. Very disappointing for an expensive shoe.

These shoes are the most comfortable running shoes I have used. My feet love the wide toe box. I wish I could wear them all day every day but unfortunately they squeak so loud it limits where I can wear them.
I recently bought my second pair hoping they would not squeak like the first pair but no such luck. Both pairs squeak with every step. I have tried the powder trick which has worked on every other brand of running shoes but it didn't work on these. So sad to say I won't be buying Altras again unless they can fix this problem which is so frustrating because they have been so good for my feet.
