I had been very happy with my previous version of Columbia 200gram winter boots, and was hoping these would be their replacement. One of my favorite things about my previous boots was the wide toe box. Although they were the normal width, I figured it would be safer to go with wide given the option, knowing I have wide feet. Even the wide version of these boots was too narrow, significantly narrower than my old boots, very inconsistent.
Additionally, the wide bugaboot also has the gold glitter tongue, although it's pictured without on the website and even the outside of the box. Granted it should typically be covered by pants/gaiters, whoever thought this would be a good look for men's boots was seriously confused.
Both of these complaints are a result of wishfully thinking I could get a good value buying online, so partially my own fault.
To end on a positive note, one of the main activities I had intended to use these for is fat biking, and the flat, uniform tread seemed like it would be a great choice for platform pedals.

The best winter working boot I have found. I also like my last pair of Bugaboots but these are better. I work at a ski resort, so I'm outside in all conditions. These are really warm, and my toes usually get cold quickly not in these boots. They are super light, high on my leg, great traction, flexible in the sole but not too soft, and extremely easy to get on and off (no hands required except for hooking/unhooking the laces.) We get pro deals on many other brands, well known and very expensive brands, and I have wasted a lot of money buying high end mountaineering boots that don't perform anywhere like these for my needs. Other boots are too stiff soled, too heavy (which also leads to a large heat mass that my feet can't keep warm), and too slippery. The siped soles are the best for traction there is, unless you strap cleats on. My last pair lasted 3 seasons, and at the price these are that is a great bargain.

I purchased this boot prewinter and wrote a review based the weather at the time. I have now used these boots for the last month in single digits temperatures with lots of snow. I have spent hours walking around and shoveling snow in 8-12 degrees weather and my feet/toes stayed comfortable the whole time. Overall comfort has been great. I wear these boots with a medium weight wool sock. On snow the traction of the boot is good on ice not so much.

The boot fits! One of the hardest parts of shopping especially for shoes and boots! I'm a size 15 in Nikes and other gym/basketball shoes, but with Columbia I fit perfectly in a size 14 WIDE!
This sturdy well crafted boot does what it says. Keeps my feet warm with only 1 pair of wool socks. I will probably update the review later once if snows but so far so good! Color and style isn't too bad either. The tongue does have a little of the gold spots on the top but who cares just tells you their new and shiny!
Also, I'm a big boy (6' 300+lbs.) with big boy feet problems such as planters and tendinitis, this boot is comfy and DID NOT NEED TO BE BROKEN IN!! Also, no need for the special inserts as it has a great soft supporting interior!
Overall step confidently with these warm stylish boots! From exploring Mt. Everest to walking your pup for potty, invading and pillaging villages to helping Santa on rooftops dropping off gift, these boots are made for walking and they fit!!

Took these for a March trip to rural Alaska. I was out all hours of the day, in snow and in temps down to -20. These held up great. Waterproof, too: accidentally stepped in overflow on the Yukon and my feet didn't even get wet! The only drawback is these are so warm my feet sweated a lot and the boots were damp for most of the trip. But the insulation still worked, and my feet stayed toasty.

I both this boot for Montreal's weather.
It looks and feels great. I did not have the chance to wear it in cold weather yet, but it seems super warm and comfortable. There is a lot of insulation, and it cushions impacts to hard ground very well. I am satisfied with my purchase.
P.S.: The sizing was accurate. I bought the size that I always wear.

I bought this boot primarily to use for fat biking during the snowy months. My hiking boots weren't keeping my feet warm. I ended up using this boot as my go-to snow boot because it is warm and comfortable. The soles are stiff, which works nicely for biking on flat pedals. The outers start pretty stiff, too, but break in after a while. They are now easy to drive in, but they were tough to drive in after taking them out of the box.
After reading some reviews, I decided to size up on the boot. I wish I hadn't. I typically am a size 11 for snow boots but sized up to a 12 based on some online suggestions. I ended up adding an insole and getting extra thick socks to fill the void in the boots. Now it works fine. I would recommend getting your usual size or sizing up only a half size if you feel compelled to.
I've used these for fat biking during Colorado snow storms and for walking/commuting during the 2024 blizzard in Lake Tahoe. My feet have been warm and comfortable. I've not noticed any significant wear or damage to the boots in the few months of use so far.
Definitely would recommend, especially during the frequent sales.

I ordered a half size larger which worked out perfectly for my husband. He needed warm boots with safe tread for walking around on rocky ground next to the river where he loves to fish.

THESE RUN A SIZE SMALL!
Normally a 13 Wide. I needed a 14 Wide, in both the Bugaboot Celsius and Celsius Plus.
Weird thing is- the Celsius Plus (400g Thinsulate) fits looser than the "regular" Celsius (200g Thinsulate).
Go figure
I just got these, but anticipate that they'll be AWESOME for active things like snowshoeing, hiking, still hunting, etc. Quiet, light, quiet, and pretty comfortable right off the bat. I expect that comfort will only improve with further use.
A heavy pac-style boot is still going to be the winner for sedentary activities like ice fishing, or sitting on stand while hunting.

As a bird photographer, winter can be challenging and uncomfortable. Hiking to my favorite spot, and/or sitting in a blind in freezing temps and wet conditions requires the right gear. Bugaboot Celsius Plus boots keep my feet warm and dry enabling me to go where I want and stay as long as I like. Out of the box, I was surprised by how lightweight they are and the quality of their construction and material. I wear size 12 reg width, but ordered 12 wide to accommodate my orthotic insoles and thick wool socks. The 12 wide is a perfect fit. A bit stiff at first, but understandably so and easy to break in during the first weekend of use. I put them to the test with 2 4-mile hikes at times wading in water up to within an inch of the top of the boots while temps ranged between 6-14 F ... No problems. Feet stayed dry and warm. If you're looking for a great winter boot at a bargain price ... look no further. I highly recommend Columbia's Bugaboot Celsius Plus boots.

Seems like a really solid boot. Comfortable and well made. Took a bit for me to get use to the extended heal.

I bought the boots for my son. The construction is good. Fashionable. He said they are comfortable and warm. We bought them on sale so even better value. Would purchase these again. True to size.

I just bought these. They are the best at traction, on basically any terrain, and they keep your feet warm and dry. They do run small, I got a size 13, should have gotten a size 13.5 or 14, they are quite tight on my feet. The materials are premium and very well made. I do wish there was a little bit more flexibility in the boots. Overall though, an excellent boot, just get a size larger than you normally would and you'll be fine.

Great value. No issues whatsoever. It takes a few day to filly break in and become flexible. The waterproofing is amazing.
