Really wanted / needed this to be a no-break-in, comfort shoe for travel doing much airport & pavement walking in dry climate. It was not. I have standard size 10 feet with a slightly high arch and narrow heel. I have not previously worn Ryka shoes but do consistently well with Ecco, Dr. Scholls, Keen, and Merrill. The shoe was tight to fit over the top of my foot in a way that eventually felt like it was pinching, even though it was a stretchy fabric. After 2 hours of travel this shoe was annoying even when just sitting. The foot bed felt flat and hard on my heel as I walking. After 5 hours or standing and walking in airports, this shoe was neither cushioning or supportive under toes or heel, and I wished I had brought another pain of trainers. It definitely rubbed the top of my foot to the point of a sore spot and felt tight even when just sitting and standing. Bummer as it is attractive and had other great reviews. These were the only closed toe shoes I took on my trip, so they are too worn to return now... otherwise I'd be doing just that. Will try again with another shoe and make sure I test them more at home before gambling with new shoes on a trip.

Ryka's always fit me true to size, and right out of the box comfort with no breaking in needed. I also don't get any rubbing or hot spots with this brand. This particular style is more of an athleisure with enough support for a brief walk around the block or to go out on walks with the dog, but I wouldn't recommend wearing them for a longer walk. They are super easy to get on and off, and they look cute with leggings.

Excellent for wide toes and narrow heels. Could use a bit more arch support. Broke in on a travel day. Great overall.

(okay so this review looks similar to another one I wrote cause both shoes/brands feel very similar in comfort etc and I love both) These shoes fit great right out the box. (See photo) I needed new shoes and had a long trip upcoming, which called for comfy shoes. I have several issues with my feet, which stemmed from bunions and hammertoes, and landed my with 7 surgeries to correct issues on one foot, screws and pins in all toes, and complete mid foot fusion. Needless to say, I can no longer wear what I want, and most shoes don’t make you “feel young” nor give you freedom of style. These are perfect. Super breathable, comfortable insole, which does not have any arch support per say. However, while I did not feel the need to use my orthotics at this time, you can definitely remove the insoles to put your orthotics in. I think with more or longer wear, or ic I plan on longer walks or light trail walking, I will prefer to do that. For now they feel fine. The back of the shoe is more rigid (so it will not bend if your one of those people that like to make clogs out of slip-ons and canvas shoes-LOL!), while the stretchy mesh is very soft and hugs your foot, without it sliding to the side. Just like lace up tennis shoes. And for a lot cheaper! For over 13yrs I bought shoes at a specialized store or online, which costed me an arm and a leg and only really lasted 6 months. I got the blue ones, and I can wear them with pretty much anything. I can walk very comfortably, and do not feel tired after several hours of wear! I ended up with one foot completely submerged in a puddle, getting out of the car one day after a summer storm, so when I got home I washed the shoe. It dried up in no time with a bit of sunshine! So glad I got them. I totally love them, you should buy them too!

I have worn Ryka sandals for years. I bought these for work. I fell three times in April wearing these shoes at work. I'm a nurse on my feet a lot. These are comfortable but dangerous. There is no good traction.

Purchased these for upcoming hip replacement surgery. I like the support and giving, lightweight mesh material that may allow for expected swelling and needed comfort and stability.

THESE ARE AWESOME!! If you're looking for comfort, these are it. Perfect right out of the box. I did go down a half size. I actually ordered two more colors, as they are perfect for work. Even better they wash up amazingly. Take out the insole before washing, (wash that too) and I just let them air dry. Thanks Ryka for making a great shoe for women, and thanks Zappos for handling the brand.

Wanted to love them but I sat in them for awhile and they felt more and more constricting. The squeeze was too much.

These are the perfect shoe for me. Broke them in on an all day shopping trip and unlike most of my other shoes my feet didn't hurt. I spent 38 years standing on concrete floors and have had bunion surgery twice and my feet are old and tired. This shoe is like wearing comfortable slippers all day. I will be ordering a second pair.

I have balance issues and use a rollator to assist me. My shoes must provide perfect arch support and also support around ankles and heels. If you are like me and have a narrow heel, rather high arches and wider toe area, these shoes are perfect for you. My shoes cannot slip up and down or not have good traction. I am happy to say that these shoes check all the boxes. Perfect shoes!! I purchased the black, indigo and oatmeal in size 8m.

I have a pair of Ryka hiking boots and walking sneakers and needed a pair of shoes for travel. These completely fit the bill. Straight out of the box to the airport, and several baseball games over a long weekend. So comfortable. The wides fit perectly. I'm looking forward to my next trip which will involving hiking in the New Mexico mountains.

These are comfortable right out of the box, with or without socks. They’re great to travel in too, with lots of walking. Sneakers that don’t scream Sneakers, that slip on and off with ease. I love these so much, I’m ordering them in other colors.

Fortunately, I owned another pair of Ryka shoes so I knew to order a half size up from my dress shoes as I usually do with athletic shoes. I purchased these shoes as I wanted a comfortable, light, slip-on shoe to wear for an easy walk or doing chores around town. From first wearing, the shoes are comfortable and easy to slip my foot into.

These are the most comfortable shoes, they accommodate a bump on your foot with no extra pressure - I’ve grabbed a couple more colors - so nice and no break in time needed!! I did size down a 1/2 size and maybe could have a whole size - 9 1/2 to 9 - Thanks, Zappos!!

These shoes are terrific, but the arch support was in the wrong spot for me. I bought them for a trip with a lot of walking, and they just didn't work.

Love the style and design. This is my first pair of slip-on casuals from Ryka and I had to purchase a couple of sizes to figure out the best fit. I ended up keeping size 7W which is a half-size smaller than my Ryka shoes for the Curves strength training workout.

Very attractive and comfortable shoes! Be sure to order at least a half size smaller because they were very roomy--much larger than regular Ryka running shoes.

I ordered a 6.5 W, but the footbed is NOT wide at the midfoot area, and as a result, my foot pronates (rolls inward) causing tiredness, then pain. Having a wide toe box is not enough to call a shoe "wide". Returning.

These are comfortable walking shoes but be aware of the slippery aspects if there is moisture on the ground your foot may slip

Love these slip-in shoes. Some of the other brand of slip-ins are too big so my feet slip out. Not these, they are perfect. Ended up getting a second color.

I love these!! I've had back problems all my life and these are the only shoes I can wear pain free. I have 4 pairs. Had 5 but wire 1 out. 1 is for garden 1 for going out 1 for walking. Thank you ryka!! Didn't know they are washable. Gonna give that a try. I call them my pain free shoes
