I normally wear Glycerins but needed a waterproof/resistant shoe so I purchased the Ghost 14 GTX. I was extremely disappointed when I tried them on. The toe box is abnormally narrow in width and in height which caused numbness and tingling in my toes. The shoe strings were quite short. They are very well cushioned and have good traction.

I’ve been running in Brooks for several years now and needed a waterproof pair. So far these are just as comfortable. My only small complaint is the laces don’t stay tied unless I double knot them.

These feel tighter than a regular Brooks Non-GTX shoe of the same size.

I ordered these in my normal 8.5 - same size I wear in the non-Gortex Ghost and a sz. 9. The size 9 fit better - the 8.5 felt tight. they are stiffer than the regular Ghosts but that comes with the waterproof material. I buy a pair of these every year - perfect for PNW rainy weather and beach walks.

I returned the shoes. It felt like there was something raised across the ball of my foot. I'd been wearing Ghosts GTX forever. Older models are sold out in my size. I was quite disappointed.

I like Ghost shoes by Brooks -- this is my 3rd pair. I use them mainly for walking. I do a lot of walking nearly everyday. They fit my foot very well. I decided to upgrade to a pair that is water-proofed bc of getting wet feet with the regular Ghosts. This model, style is very nice -- not loud and weird colors which many walking shoes are. These are simply black with a bit of moss green. If I could have the perfect pair of walking shoes they would look more like the Converse one star or the old school Adidas. I like the skater style of shoe however they don't offer the support I want. PS -- I have bunions on both feet and the Ghosts fit me perfectly!

I would give these shoes 5+ stars if I just needed them for walking/hiking. I've been having foot issues, and these were like walking on a cloud. However, I needed them to be waterproof, and these shoes did not hold up. Barely a month in and my feet got soaked on a rainy day. So pass these up if you're looking to keep your feet dry. Also, as some reviews have mentioned, the laces are ridiculously short.

I’m not one to review things very often but these fit so weird that I thought I should scribble down my opinion on them. I ordered a half size up because that’s what everyone seemed to suggest and they were still too small. The width of the shoe felt fine but the tow narrowed down and was super uncomfortable. There’s no way I could spend 5 minutes in them let alone a 12 hour shift of hustling the entire time. Also, the arch hit my foot more on my heel than where the arch of a foot is. My feet are very average in structure and size (7.5) and putting these on was a strange experience for sure. If you’re gonna give them a shot, I’d recommend sizing up a whole size and maybe your toes won’t end up in the pain funnel like mine did.

Beware Brooks Ghost fans: these Ghost 14 are a COMPLETELY different fit. Rigid instep. Hard midsole. Extremely high arch lift. Narrower toe box. Painful. I have plantar fasciitis and Brooks Ghost have ALWAYS been the only shoe I can wear for comfort and support. These are a totally different make. Caused foot pain immediately in the arch because of the strange hard lump that runs across it. Couldn't walk in them more than five minutes- and I'm someone who likes and needs arch support. These feel more like rigid hiking boots or trail running shoes- not sneakers. Not running shoes. Returning immediately for an old model 13. I'm happy to pay top dollar for a good fit and supportive quality shoe. So disappointed. Praying these are not going to be the new Ghost models moving forward!!

The Ghost 14 fits me perfectly. I’ve bought this style several times and I’m never disappointed! I buy the Goretex version too keep my feet dry and they hold up very well.

I bought these to go to vacation where there is a chance of rain and they held up wonderfully in the light snow and heavy rain. The gortex kept my feet dry. I ordered a half size up since I’m a wide width and these don’t come in wide, so they fit perfect!

I walk three miles everyday, rain or shine. These shoes a perfect. Water resistant and comfortable. Nice wide toe box. sturdy and well made. Very happy.

I run in the woods in New England about 300 Days a year. These are great. They have kept my feet dry in rain, snow, and mud and they keep them warmer than the non GTX Ghost. I wear a womens 11 in street shoes. Usually get a 12 in running shoes. I think I could have gotten an 11.5 in these.

I spent quite a bit on these sneakers because I thought they'd be waterproof. I wore took them on a walk when it wasn't even raining and just going through wet leaves was enough for the toes of my socks to get wet.

These shoes fit well if I size up a whole size, which is what I do with all Brooks shoes. These are even better though as they're waterproof.

This is my 4th pair of these shoes. I run in the woods everyday and love thst they keep my feet dry and comfortable. I usually wear an 11 and find a 12 in these to be the right size for me.

I literally live in these shoes! They are supportive while exercising and and incredibly comfortable throughout the day.

Not quite as stylin’ as I’d like, but gets the job done with comfort. Roomy toe box. Lots of cushion.

These shoes are great. I run in the woods almost every morning and these shoes keep my feet dry though mud season. snow, and rainy days. They do seem to run a bit small. I normally wear an 11 street shoe and should definitely have a 12 in these.

Awesome shoes! Amazingly comfortable and slip on and off wth ease. Also great for rain and snow.

Great at keeping my feet dry and warm on winter walks! Wish they came in wide…I like a bit more room in toe box!

Super disappointed… I did like the style of the shoes and they have a super comfortable sole BUT they had and indentation on the left side near the toe area on both shoes and that drove me insane so I had to return the shoes. Not sure if I just got a defective pair or if they’re all like that but they’re too expensive to come damaged.

The protection from the cold and wet was perfect. However, I have worn Brooks for many years and ordered the same size in this shoe, but after a month of wear, I noticed that the shoe was getting much tighter and my foot was swelling. I then noticed a blister on my large toe because my toe would hit the tip as I ran. I now have trouble running. I am bummed because I really liked them at first. I wish I had ordered a larger size. They weren't cheap and I'm not sure what to do. It's hard to tell if something isn't working well until you use it for a bit. I relied on my loyal patronage to the Brooks brand and got the size I normally do.

Not as cushioned in the sole as I had hoped; felt clompy. Returned it.

These are my favorite shoe for walking. They are comfortable and I love that they are waterproof.
