Sock like upper, good tread, just enough cushion for long runs.

Love these! They recommended ordering 1 size up, and I did. They fit perfectly, are extremely comfortable and provide the support I need. I can wear them all day, and my feet, back and legs feel fine. Not so with a lot of other brands. I have a few gait and foot issues, and none of them bothered me when I wore these. You can also remove the inserts and place orthodics.

Wore these for an 18 mile run out of the box, and they felt better than expected. Very responsive ride overall, feels kinda springy. I had previously been running in Brooks Pure Flow, which have been discontinued, I kind of panicked but went with these as a replacement and actually like them better overall. I like a low heel to toe drop, 8mm is probably the max I can tolerate, which these are. I also prefer a sock like fit and that?s excerpt what these are. Only thing that?d make them perfect is if the drop was 6mm. But I?ve been very pleasantly surprised.

I have had trouble with plantar fasciitis for most of my adult life . I am a teacher so being on my feet a lot has taken a toll on them. Out of desperation and many recommendations from friends last year I switched to Brooks and I'll never go back . My feet don't hurt near as much anymore and I can walk several miles without foot pain ! Love the arch support and cushion these provide .

I have been running for one year. my only favorite shoe is from brooks, which is brooks glycerin 19. this time. I tried the revel 4 for like 50 kilemeters. and I decided to purchase this upgrade version: revel 5! I really love them. besides jogging. I used them for my interval running. they are working very well. I really love them.

?I have worn Brooks for many years. As a nurse, they made a 12-hour shift on your feet very comfortable. I?ve always enjoyed the comfortable forefoot support and cushioning. So when I was asked to try the new Revel, free of charge, to unbiasedly evaluate the product, I was very excited. The new Revel 5 is very lightweight (great for running), but lacks the support and cushioning I am used to. I love the fit, the "light as air? feeling in walking and running, the durability, and the good looks. My only complaint is the lack of forefoot support." B.

I'm a casual runner and have been wearing Brooks for several years now. I've tried a few different styles but never the Revel. They are very lightweight and gave me the right amount of cushion - springy but not overly so. I have a narrow foot and these fit me perfectly in my usual Brooks size. They also feel very breathable, so as the summer gets hotter, I'm not worried about my feet becoming overly sweaty in them the way I've experienced with other shoes. I would definitely repurchase these if I wear them out! I received this product free of charge for my honest opinion.

I have been running cross country since 6th grade and I am now going into my senior year of high school. I have ran in many different types of shoes and the Revel 5s are one of the most comfortable pair of running shoes I have had. They?re light weight but provide enough support and cushion so my hips and knees aren?t hurting while I run. I did receive these shoes free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion.

These are the third pair of Brooks Revel 5 I have bought fairly recently. This last pair seemed a bit smaller that the others. But I have tried walking with these and I think they will be okay. Still deciding. Obviously the style is good as I have other pairs. The 3 questions that are above don't really apply. Overall this new pair are a little tighter than the others. Also a comment about the Revel 6 which are not a comfortable as Reval 5. They are heavier and less flexible; they have a thicker sole which I do not care for. So that is why I bought the last available style of Revel 5 even though they were not my favorite color choice.

I knew this wouldn't ride the same as the Ghost, they're very light. Not quite as much toe room or support but I had a PR on my first run. I wouldn't personally run more than 7-8 miles in them but they should be great 5k racing shoes. I'm in my 40s running 9-10mm, 60+ miles a week, I think that's relevant. Super stylish though! They'd be fine as my daily walking/work shoes.

The Revels tend to run a whole size smaller on me. I size up to an 8 in athletic shoes but the Revels I need an 8.5. I got the lavender/black and I love them. I own lots of Brooks but the Revels are my least favorite for comfort. I buy this style for causal days/running errands. There is little to no arch support so consider adding in a good insert for these as Brooks has been cheaping out on their footbeds (and shoe laces) in the last few years. TLDR: don’t pay full-price for these and size up.

These took awhile to break in but have become more comfortable with wear. Followed recommendations to order a half size up and was not disappointed. Not a particularly supportive or cushy shoe, but good enough for daily walks with my dog in the neighborhood.

The Revel 5 is a lightweight running shoe, truly giving that `energize` feeling. It doesn't provide support, so it's good only for short runs; if I'm wearing them on longer runs my feet start hurting. Due to the low drop they can be used for some indoor training, but don't plan squatting in these. The style is nice, quite neutral, I'm just not really a fan of the knit material, would have preferred something more smooth (and water resistant); but the knit adds a little bit of airflow most people would like in warmer months / climates. Still wishing Brooks would bring back Pure Cadence, but not regretting the Revel 5 purchase.

These shoes are solid running shoes, but the laces are too short and they feel like they are bigger than other pairs of brooks I've had in the same size.

They're okay, I'm not totally blown away so I took a star off, but they're comfortable and good for indoor running/walking.

I like the fit of this shoes, but I am not excited about the color / pattern combination on these shoes.
