I just got back from Yosemite and hiked serious mileage in these and they never let me down. The cushion and fit could not be better. The extra room around the big toe is much appreciated. These are the best hiking shoes I have ever owned.

I am used to the Ghost running shoes that are a more springer, and lighter....obviously, but cant have it all when you are looking for protection and more stability in trail shoes. These shoes defintely give more support, protect your feet from uneven surfaces, and are comfortable...however the downside is they are heavier than the Ghost (which are road shoes). IT takes a little getting used to the heavier shoes when running in these compared to Ghost. However, really can't tell when walking in them. Good for CROSS-TRAINING, and HIT workouts.

I bought these for a thru hike of the Appalachian Trail. I got over a thousand miles out of the first pair. I'm on my second pair now. Excellent shoe. Comfortable, dries quickly, good traction and rock protection. I've always used a hiking boot in the past, and no matter what boot I tried, I always had hotspots. None with the Cascadias. Great trail runners.

The Brooks Cascadia are an absolutely wonderful shoe! They are much more durable than all other Brooks shoes. They are more for a trail walker or someone that wants a sturdy shoe without sacrificing comfort. I have three pairs and have never been disappointed.

First of all I love the tread and color options. Preforms excellent on the terrain it was designed for as well as the road. There's a lot of complaints on here about size and comfort problems. Maybe they should use Brooks outstanding return policy and try a break-in period before they use this rating platform for a Kleenex. There are many miles ran today in the cheapest most generic running shoe that a Post Exchange has to offer. Not to mention having help from an angry DI to ensure fit, comfort and support. Moreover, they're are world champion athletes and runners being made this very minute that have no shoes. In closing, you honestly have nothing but first world problems to complain about. Put your Brooks on and give it /the the ? ? ? ? ? they deserve.

These are the best trail running shoes I have. They are my go to shoes when on the trails in these mountains of western North Carolina. The design, support, and cushion are perfect for my feet and the terrain I run on. I highly recommend everyone try these shoes for 90 days. Thank you Brooks Shoes for easy and friendly service. Shipping and delivery was amazingly fast. Once again thank you Brooks Shoes.

Long story short I have always been a Brooks fan... In the early 2000s I started running seriously and immediately started in with shin splint issues. I was diagnosed with severe over pronation and have been running/ daily wearing Brooks beast ever since. I've also always mountain biked but as age has thrown me some curve balls I was forced to hang up the bike and I started in on trail hiking and running. But as I found many others that required maximum support motion control shoes our options where basically none as far as trail shoes goes.... I've tried various trail runners in the past. None gave me the support I needed. I was forced to wear the beasts on the trail but the trails in Phoenix Arizona are rough and they quickly would deteriorate. At 300 miles they unrecognizable. I started to wear the addiction max support shoes instead as at least the tread gave a little more traction and life on trails. But they are still road runners and they would break down quickly on Arizona trails. I tried to like the Cascadia 15s... Even went 75 miles but found I was developing pain due to the change in underfoot support.
That has all changed with the Cascadia 16. They feel almost like a support shoe but with the ruggedness and traction needed in a trail shoe. I would honestly give them 50 stars if possible. If you are over pronator like me and have struggled finding trail shoes that work look no further. These are amazing.
Please Brooks do not change a thing! They are a game changer!

First off, your customer service is excellent! The person who took my order over the phone was extremely helpful and gave me great assistance in getting the shoes to me promptly. I have run in the Cascadia for the last 10-12 years and they have always been a great trail shoe. And the 16 takes the number one spot for me! It seems to be the perfect balance of cushion, support and responsiveness! I have been out on about 10 trail runs since receiving them and am having so much fun I can?t wait to get out again the next time. Will be purchasing another pair as soon as my size comes back in stock. Great job on these Brooks! Thanks

I need a half size bigger, but that may be due to the orthodontics I use. Overall, I like the shoes.

I have been a Brooks customer for some years now and this my first review. I had purchased a pair of Cascade 16 shoes in anticipation of our Middle East trip. In fact we have just returned from this trip that took us from Jordan through Egypt March 20-April 1, 2022. This trip spans 5000 years of civilization. From the Dead Sea, Jerash, Petra, Aqaba, Abu Simbel, Aswan, Edfu, Luxor, and Giza, the shoes were exceptional. Shoes handled any surface: rocky, uneven Roman roads, worn cupped steps, steep ramps into tombs etc. All with comfort and stability. So, if you are going on a trip with challenging walking surfaces the Cascade 16 is the shoe to check out.

Love these shoes. Started out with Defyance, moved over to Ghost; and now am a Cascadia man. They offer a lot of cushion and stability. And while they look a little big, they feel super light on my feet. Hold up well to trail and road running and hiking. Will stick with the Cascadia model for at least a few years.

I LOVE THESE SHOES. I cannot say enough good things about my Cascadias. I went from using the Caldera 4's to purchasing these as I was looking for something better suited for loose and rocky conditions. I have ran down single-track, snow, mud, and hard packed trails with these shoes standing ready to deliver.
