I also own and have worn the Brooks Levitate 4 over the past couple of years, so some of my review will compare the two. First off, I find that Brooks sneakers run on the narrow side compared to other brands of running shoes, e.g., Hoka and New Balance. Since I have narrow feet, the Brooks fit very well even though they come only in medium widths. My dress shoe size is US 9.5 medium width or narrow width if available. Also compared to Hoka and New Balance, the Brooks length of the shoes, both Levitate 4 and 5, is slightly shorter, which requires up-sizing by one whole size, as opposed to sizing up only by half a size with Hoka and New Balance. Like the Levitate 4, the Levitate StealthFit 5 is a neutral shoe, meaning that it provides enough support for my medium foot arches, but it might not provide enough support for flat feet or feet with high arches. I wear the Levitate StealthFit 5 with the original insole. Since the fit is just right (cushioning and arch support wise), I do not feel the need to replace the original insoles with another pair that might add more cushioning and/or more arch support. If I were to change out the insoles, I would most likely have to get a pair at least a half size larger (US 11 instead of US 10.5). My overall rating of the Brooks Levitate StealthFit 5:(1). Overall: 4.8 stars(2). Comfort: 4.7 stars (the Levitate 5 felt slightly more comfortable than the Levitate 4: slightly better cushioning. Even though the Levitate StealthFit 5 shoe fits more snugly than the Levitate 4, the 5 is not tight at all, in fact, the Levitate 5 hugs my foot better, like a comfortable sock. Although the Levitate StealthFit 5 is very comfortable, more comfortable than my New Balance 990, they are not as well cushioned as the Hoka Bondi.)(3). Style: 5 stars (I have the blue color version, which I really like; I like that the color is not a drab grey or blue, but it is also not a overly bright or flashy.) Being a physician, I am on my feet at least 9 to 12 hours a day, so wearing comfortable and well cushioned shoes is key. Since I wear scrubs, I prefer wearing sneakers instead of dress shoes and prefer shoes that have an understated style and that are not too brightly colored. The Brooks Levitate StealthFit 5 tick all the right boxes for me.

My wife and I both received Brooks Levitate 5 last week. hers was in a size 8 and mine in a mens size 12. At first glance I didn't think I would like these sneakers because they have a built-in sock. However after wearing them to the gym I quickly fell in love with them. I like the way it fits around my foot very snug but not so tight it's causing pressure. They are comfortable to wear nicely cushioned for a heel strike and the arch is very supportive. The only negative I have on these shoes is they were a little slick out of the box but after wearing them a few days they seem to have better traction. Also there was not much cushion on the ball of your feet. THis is based on the stair stepper. Style gets 5 stars for lots of compliments at the gym They look big but they fit true to size. I would definitely purchase these shoes. I like the way they fit on my feet.

Shoes are comfortable and lightweight. I like the black color too. If your looking for a comfortable pair of shoes these are it!!! Brooks have always been a soft-comfortable shoe and these are no exception. Overall very satisfied with them!!
